“What do you plan to do about the food?” Ran had asked him.
Parrish showed him a menu.
“That’s from the Wild Rose. Won’t Emily be too busy to accommodate us, especially at this time of year?” The restaurant had opened a few years prior with backing by Ran, and within the first six months it had become immensely popular. So popular, Ran wouldn’t have thought Emily had the time to cater such a small affair as this was going to be.
Parrish had grinned at him. “She’ll always make time for you.”
“Oh?”
“Come on, Ransom. I know you gave her the money to start up the Wild Rose.”
Ran had raised an eyebrow. “How did you manage to learn about that?”
“Oh, I had my ways.”
Of course he did. After all, Parrish had been his executive secretary.
“Did I do a good job?”
“You did an amazing job.” And Ran had swept his lover into his arms, dipped him, and ravaged his mouth.

Parrish stood before the mirror, fiddling with his bowtie, now stealing glances at him.
