Our Bedroom

After lunch, spending some time with the Li family, Mother zhang and Father Zhang stood up to leave.

Looking at her parents with teary eyes, zhang Xiaoxi could not control her emotions. Everything happened so suddenly, she could not even process everything and now her mom and dad are leaving her to live with a new family.

A family she never met before. A husband who is a complete stranger to her. Though she know Mother Li loved her dearly, she could not stop being scared about her new life.

Looking at his darling daughter teary eyes, Father zhang and mother zhang hearts broke into pieces.

They could imagine what she was feeling. Anyone in her place would be scared. They forced her to get married and now they want her to adapt to the new family. They felt that they are the cruel parents.

But they know everything that has happened happened for good. At least they were happy thinking that she will no more be bound to the painful past of hers.

At least now she has someone in her life. May be now she will have a new scope to live up to. They are sure that Li Jie will be the reason of her happiness.

Hugging mother Zhang and Father Zhang, Xiaoxi was reluctant. Controlling her emotions mother Zhang patted her back consoling Zhang Xiaoxi.

"Child, we are just 20 minutes away, you can come home anytime and remember your brother will be coming home for the new year.

My baby, take care of yourself and everyone. I will see you soon." Said mother zhang kissing her forehead .

"Dont be sad darling. Dad can't see you like this " wiping her tears father zhang consoled his daughter.

"Ayoo child, we are not that bad, we are all family now, there is no need to be scared. Mother is here so you dont have to think about anything. Just be the way you are. Dont cry okay" - consoled mother Li

Looking at all of them, zhang Xiaoxi controlled her emotions, wiped her tears and nodded her head smiling forcibly.

Standing at the back, Li jie felt bad looking at zhang Xiaoxi crying. He very well understands her fears as he is also the one with the same fears. But at least he is with his his family but what about her, she has to adapt to the new family.

He suddenly felt a sense of responsibility towards her. It is true that they are not married out of love. But No matter what, they are still married. She left her family, came to his family and will be together with him.

Looking at Mother Zhang and Father Zhang, Li jie smiled- "don't worry about her, i will take care of her with My everything. I promise."

After getting assurance from their son in law, Zhang parents were a bit relived and boarded their car to leave. As soon as the car left the mansion, Mother Zhang broke down into tears while father Zhang held her in his arms sobbing.

"Li Jie - bring Xiaoxi inside, she must have been exhausted. Show her your room and let her get settled "said mother Li

"Xiaoxi what ever i say now keep it in your mind "said mother Li sternly looking into her eyes.

Sudden change in Mother Li voice made Xiaoxi tremble.

" You should be the one who has the final say about things regarding Li Jie. He seems to be cold, but remember you have to make him dance on your fingers. Understood?"

Scared out of her wits, zhang Xiaoxi nodded with her head down but as soon as she processed what mother Li said, she raised her head in confusion.

"Mom don't scare her." Looking at his little wife who was scared, Li Jie stopped his mother from scaring her further.

"Okay i will stop teasing. Go take her inside, poor child, she is exhausted"- said mother Li

Looking at Xiaoxi who is still scared, something in his heart started melting. Brushing all the thoughts aside he said " lets go".

Stopping in front of the door , Li Jie turned back and looked at Xiaoxi before opening the door and walking in followed by zhang Xiaoxi.

"This is my room. Usually i sleep in office but whenever i am home i stay here " explained Li Jie

Listening to Li jie's explanation, Zhang Xiaoxi lifted her head and looked around the room. She was stunned looking at the room.

There was nothing in the room except a wardrobe, a bedside table with a lamp, a dressing table and a closet and everything in black.

The room looked so depressing without any colours in it.

" I know its a bit boring but i like it the way it is. To be exact, i never thought of changing it, but if  you want to change, you can go ahead. I don't have any problem " - said Li Jie

" Bit boring? it is way too boring " thought zhang Xiaoxi but didn't say out . She just nodded her head

Looking at her suitcases which are near the wardrobe, Li Jie opened the wardrobe and started clearing his clothes giving her space.

Looking at what he was doing, zhang Xiaoxi felt warm at heart. She went to help him.

"You can go freshen up till i do this "suggested Li Jie who felt embarrassed when she was touching his clothes.

Looking at his ears which have turned red, zhang Xiaoxi smiled and went to freshen up without saying anything.

After freshening up, when Xiaoxi came out, Li Jie was sitting on the bed in deep thoughts. As soon as he heard the door sound, he looked up at zhang Xiaoxi.

"Can we talk" asked Li Jie who seemed to be really nervous.
