16) Past comes to haunt me.

~kasi's pov~

Kasi: <<WHAT?! MAX IS BACK?!>> she said as her chocolate colored eyes widen in sock.

{when I heard lilith tell me that max is back I just felt my heart picking up speed. I literally forgot how to breathe for a second, after I told her that I would be home as soon as possible I looked at Xavier with a sad smile.}

Kasi: <<I'm sorry Xavier there's something going on at home and I need to go take care of it.>> I said as I was getting my stuff in my bag.

Xavier: <<it's alright, do you want me to give you a ride home?>> he said as he grabbed his keys not really waiting for an answer from Kasi.

Kasi: <<well I would like that but don't you have other things to do?>> she said as she got her shoes on quickly.

Xavier: <<no today I'm not working, it's my day off>> he said as he got his shoe's on and opened the door for Kasi like a gentleman.

Kasi: <<your sure? If it's your day off you should rest. I know your working hard>> she said as she put a caring hand on the tall man's shoulder.

Xavier: <<I'm sure now common love.>> he said as he grabbed her hand that was on his shoulder and started walking towards his car.

Kasi: <<I'll give you your clothes back once I wash them for you.>> she said out of the blue as Xavier chuckled softly.

Xavier: <<don't think about that right now it's unnecessary, besides I want you to keep them.>> he said as he opened the door to the passengers seat and motioned his head towards the inside.

Kasi: <<I just don't want to be more of a burden then I already am. I mean you let me stay in your house and I'll keep your clothes? Thats not okay.>> she said as she got in the car while looking at Xavier with a guilt like look on her face.

Xavier: <<stop, I said it's alright these clothes are yours now. Let's get you home.>> he said as he leaned down and kissed Kasi on her forehead softly.

Kasi: <<a-alright...>> she answered barely letting the tall man hear her as he laughed quietly to himself.

{after they both got in the car Xavier started the engine and they were off to kasi's home.}

{i really cannot think what will happen if Xavier sees max. Maybe I can tell him to scare him off so he can leave me alone! But he has done too much for me already...i really shouldn't bother him. But what if max is already there and waiting for me?! Gosh too many but's. I hope he changed his mind or something and left from my house.}

Xavier: <<what are you thinking about?>> he asked as he put his hand on kasi's that was resting on her bare thigh.

Kasi: <<o-oh nothing don't worry about it.>> she said as she blushed shocked from the sudden touch.

<<also Xavier I would like to leave once we get to my house...>> she added as she felt really bad for telling him to leave after he did all these things for her.

Xavier: <<Kasi something is wrong, tell me what it is already because of I find it out myself it'll be worse towards you.>> he said madly as he tightened his grip on her hand.

Kasi: <<n-nothing is wrong! I just don't want to see you again!>> she said as she looked at him shocked with the words that came out of her mouth.

Xavier: <<now that's a lie.>> he whispered softly as he let kasi's hand go.

Kasi: <<I'm sorry it is a lie I just don't want you to bump into him.>> she said as she grabbed his hand just before he could put it back to the steering wheel.

Xavier : <<what, who?>> he said as he started getting mad.

{i stopped breathing for a second as I looked out the window trying to choose, should I tell him or just say that my dad is there or something. No he wouldn't believe that because that night he found out everything about me, he knows my dad is not here and is back in Greece. How the heck to I get out of this one...}

Xavier: <<Kasi.Now. >>he said firmly as Kasi got out of her thoughts and looked at him.

Kasi: <<my ex is back and I really don't want to cause anymore drama then he already has made back home with lilith. >> she said as she lowered her head shamefully looking at her lap.

Xavier: <<why didn't you tell me sooner?>>

he softly told her as he ruffled her hair smiling at her.

Kasi: <<first of all I'm starting to think your bipolar second of all I know your gonna try to kill him or something.>> she answered her voice full of sarcasm as she rolled her eyes.

Xavier: <<Hey you woman don't roll your eyes at me!>> he said as he laughed but still felt offended from her sarcasm.

Kasi: <<what's you gonna do about it?>> she said while getting her tongue out mocking him.

Xavier: <<your lucky I'm driving.>> he growled playfully towards her.

Kasi: <<alright well just please promise me if you stay and his there don't fight him or something.>> she said once she say her home come to view.

Xavier: <<I'm not gonna promise something I surely won't keep.>> he said as he kissed her cheek.

Kasi: <<let's just gooo.>> she said while blushing a deep red.

{me and Xavier got out of the car and went towards the front door. Once I was there I saw it was opened. Huh? It's never open everyone that lives in this apartment building always locks this door.}

Kasi: <<Xavier...>> she said as her eyes widened a little.

Xavier: <<what happened, why do you look so on edge?>> he said sounding a little worried.

Kasi: <<this door is always locked and now it's wide open something is wrong, what if something happened to lilith?!>> she said with a worried tone on her voice.

Xavier: <<calm down it's just the front door of the building it's not the front door of your house, let's just go see if everything is okay.>>

he said while putting his hand on the band of his pants feeling his gun.

Kasi: <<alright let's go.>> she said while starting to run up the stairs towards the fourth floor.

{as I was running I couldn't help but think why did Xavier touch the band of his pants like that? I mean yeah he might of just felt uncomfortable or something but I know that there's too many mafia man here. Does he have a gun? I have heard rumors that he is a mafia boss but with the way he acts I just left it out. Now you might be asking yourself "how the heck do you know where mafia man keep their gun's?!" well let me explain myself. My ex max is actually in the mafia and that's why I broke up with him in the first place and I just love mafia stuff, I really don't know why so don't ask me.}

{Once I got to the fourth floor I looked down the hall. Alright I felt like something was wrong, the door was wide open and I could see that the whole house was trashed. Either lilith got someone home last night and they...well you know or max has something to do with this.}

Kasi: <<I f*cking told you that something was wrong!>> she said madly as she looked at Xavier.

Xavier: <<don't swear and don't shout at me do you understand?>> he shouted back at her while he grabbed her rist roughly.

Kasi: <<if lilith is not alright I don't know what I'm gonna do.>> she said as she hugged Xavier tightly whispering a soft sorry.

Xavier: <<it's alright let's go see maybe she'd inside if she's not we'll have to search for her.>> he said as he kissed her on the cheek once again.

{we walked inside my house and started searching for lilith. When I got to the room we shared I saw a small black envelope on my pillow. I got it in my hands and opened it and started reading it out loud.}

Dear Kasi,

I came here to take you back home but your friend told me you were at work, so I thought I would wait for you. After waiting for hours she told me you wouldn't be home when I asked she told me you were in Xavier kings house. Because you cheated on me baby I took your friend. Many here like her maybe I could give her as a gift to one of the mafia bosses that work with me. But because I know you love your friend a lot I'm gonna give you two days to come here back to me alone.

{after I was done reading this note i felt my blood boil. Listen here you f*cking crazy man, I beat you once believe me when I say I'll beat you again...
