59 The flutter of a butterfly's wings I

POV Julian Kingscrown

When I arrived in this world I didn't know concretely what I wanted to do, or rather I did know, I wanted to help people and the world to overcome the difficult times that are coming, but I never had a why in my mind, not even a how, I was like a blank book at best I knew what my purpose was but not my content.

As I grew up in this world I acquired many things: strength, knowledge, goals, things I never thought I would have, but all these things don't symbolize even half of what keeps me focused.

What really kept me following my goals and gave me a reason to walk forward, were the people I met in this world: Sylvie, Rinia, Silvia, Virion, Kathyln, Tessia, Arthur and many others who have helped me to be who I am now.

I would never regret meeting them, because of that I have tried in many different ways to help them, changing things that maybe I shouldn't have touched, but I always kept the hope that nothing would change.

Although it was an impossible wish, I hoped that the fluttering of the butterfly wings that my existence caused would not create a storm too big.

And here is fate in front of me slapping me for my naive wishes.

"Are you not going to answer? What is your affiliation? And who are you?" ordered the woman flying above me, with a cold look and emitting a thick bloodlust.

An hour before the Unexpected Encounter

(Master, it's been a long time), I heard Galia's voice when I left.

(Yes, it's been five months since the last time), I said as I stroked her neck.

(How have everyone been in Xyrus and Elenoir), I asked.

(Fine, Mr. Virion and Cynthia are very kind), she replied.

I suppose so, I thought as I mounted on top of Galia, after taking off I started riding towards the area where Avier had described me.

It was a two-hour trip, when I was going to the pit I listed the characteristics that Avier had mentioned to me.

It was a place full of vitality, but it was very gloomy and humid due to the characteristics of the Leviathans.

Also, the pit where they were was very deep, he told me that entering the pit was suicide because of the advantage that those SSS class beasts have in that environment.

That's why he advised me not to enter the depths of the sea, I was very aware of that, who would be so foolish to enter a nest of mythical snakes the size of a whale?

Thinking about it would only give me chills, my only intention is to try to take some of them who want to accompany me, if there are none I will leave.

As we approached the place, I noticed a change in the air, the surroundings became less alive, with trees withering and the earth looking dead.

Avier didn't mention anything about this, I gave instructions to Galia to land and check this place.

I began to touch the trees, took soil from the ground and evaluated it, checked the plants and without exception everything seemed to be withered or poisoned.

I kept walking to try to find mana beasts, but there were none; it was as if this was the territory of a beast too territorial and strong.

I activated my mana vision to try to find any abnormality and in the air I noticed some unusual mana particles.

In fact I had never seen them, this type of mana I had never seen despite having wandered through the clearings for more than two years and knowing the mana of the Asuras.

I moved my mana to protect myself from this type of external magic and began to walk cautiously towards the pit that should not be very far away.

Galia perched on my shoulder in her smallest form, that way it was easy for both of us to protect ourselves from these mana particles scattered by the environment.

The closer we got to the place marked by Avier, the land became more and more withered and poisonous; all the strange situations that had happened so far gave me a very bad feeling.

When we arrived in front of the pit that should have been, in Avier's words, a beautiful marine fortress, I could only find a wide mass of green water that looked putrid, moldy rock beds and an air of pestilence loaded with poison.

"What happened here?" I thought out loud.

Did the Alacryans corrupt this place? I never heard anything about this in the novel during the war arc.

As I wondered what could have caused this, I saw waves in the water and the earth trembled slightly.

Coming out of the depths of that marine pit, there was a huge snake of ten meters in black and sickly green tones.

Its gaze directed at me gave me goosebumps, although I knew I was not going to lose easily and in the worst case I could escape, seeing such a large creature unleashing its hostility on me is no joke.

I took out one of the swords I brought from Xyrus, since I was not used to the one they gave me recently in Hearth.

I directed my gaze at all the movements of the snake, and also activated the mana vision to know its movements under the water and when I did I saw its true dimensions, this damn snake is twenty meters long.

Fuck you who gave birth to this thing, I thought with cold sweat on my back.

Galia flew several meters away from both of us, evaluating the huge snake in front of us, I could perceive from her a clear sign of nervousness and tension.

Indeed, who the hell would not be if they saw this, I tightened the grip and waited for the moment of rupture between us.

The snake moved first at an impossible speed for what I considered its size and opened its jaws to swallow me whole.

I used the sonic step to get out of its attack and was going to try to charge my lightning sword and launch a cut, but I stopped who would be so stupid to use such an insignificant attack in front of such a colossal beast.

If I want to hurt it I have to use more powerful magic, at this moment where I regret not having asked Mordain for help with this problem.

I will have to ask him after I get out of this, I thought as I jumped from side to side dodging the fangs that pointed at me.

This beast was very persistent and fast, not to mention that it would tear me to pieces if it gave me a single blow.

The poison in the environment does nothing but worsen things, if it had not been for the training in Hearth I would be meat paste stamped on the ground long ago.

The more I dodged and threw some cuts charged with lightning mana, I understood the limit that I would need to break to inflict effective damage.

In my high silver state I barely achieved that, so I had to use the legacy influence to make my attacks more powerful as a minimum equivalent to the white core.

But with the speed of this Leviathan it is impossible for my magic to hit it, I need to hold it first so that it receives all the damage.

With that thought I looked around for a place where I could set a trap for it, I could only see broken pillars and dust raised by this beast, every time it tried to hit me.

I needed to finish this quickly, I did not want to run into any Alacryans by accident and make this too big.

I activated Laplace at full power to think of a countermeasure, but nothing around could help me, I have to enter my third phase if I want to win.

Should I have had Frei with me, maybe with the assimilation? No, Mordain said it is very risky to do it, it was better to resort to my third phase

Now that I think about it, most of my trump cards have some problem or defect, who was the culprit of this, I frowned because of these absurd thoughts of someone annoying me.

"Haaaahhh", concentrate I scolded myself as I put aside these absurd thoughts.

I activated the third phase and felt the sensation of omnipotence that came with it.

I could perceive my hair lengthening and two horns coming out on the sides of my head, I also had much more sensitivity to the environmental mana.

Seeing this, the leviathan stopped its attacks and looked at me cautiously, "you're not thinking of running away now, are you?" I spoke in response to its gaze.

The snake seemed to understand me and swallowed its pride and launched from its mouth, a poisonous breath, using the mana vision I could see the corrupt mana that was approaching me.

I created a torrent of wind mana to ward off the poison and then cast a spell to contain the snake

The way I thought to do it was with two metal spikes, I was going to charge them with lightning magic to increase their penetration power something similar to a Railgun.

Then I connected them to some ice chains and threw them at the snake, the speed was enough to make them penetrate its scales.

"GrrrArrrrggghhhh", the furious howl of the twenty-meter snake was heard.

"Grrr", damn snake, it's stupidly strong, I complained in my thoughts because of the effort to keep this snake tied while gathering a large amount of mana, to launch a single attack and end this.

The temperature began to rise rapidly in the surroundings, flames of different shades and temperatures began to condense forming a kind of multicolored sun.

The water in the pit began to boil as the poison in the environment began to evaporate and finally the trees began to burn due to the high temperature.

Even I was affected, when my mask along with the sword in my hand began to melt, I was forced to place an ice barrier, and take off the mask.

What I was trying to do was an application that I learned when I was giving mana to Silvia to influence the Ether more effectively with the help of mana.

Instead of doing it naturally, as Sylvie does, I decided to use the runes, as their effect seemed to be much more powerful, it only had one drawback; it requires some time to activate and still needed more testing.

Especially considering that when I discovered it I was receiving help from Frei so I don't know how it will turn out at this scale.

But I already felt how difficult it was to control it, I just clenched my teeth and looked coldly at the snake that was trying to get rid of the chains by all means.

"Soleil".

With those words, the huge sphere of 5 meters in diameter, with fire of rainbow tones over me, descended rapidly towards the pit, aiming directly at the head of the Leviathan.

Fuck, I screamed in my mind as the force of the explosion sent me flying about ten meters, the only thing I could do was create an ice barrier and cushion the impact with wind magic.

The effect of the explosion caused me tinnitus, which left me disoriented and wanting to faint at that very moment.

I also heard the moans of Galia, who seemed to be affected just like me.

Damn it, I'm not going to test the Ether that way again, that thing was very volatile.

Trembling, I stood up and began to heal the wounds of the explosion with my third phase, at the same time I received a message from Sylvie.

(Brother, are you okay?).

(Wonderful), I replied with the least painful tone possible.

Sylvie's feelings were clearly transmitted, so I had to speak again while looking for Galia.

(Don't worry, Sylvie it was just a small accident, but I'm fine just a little stunned).

Searching among all the smoke generated by the explosion I found Galia, he looked quite stunned so I don't think he can fly immediately.

That's a problem, we have to get out of here right away I don't want to run into anyone annoying now.

Gritting my teeth, I sent Galia to Eden and started walking as fast as I could with my legs still trembling.

That damn explosion gave me a terrible headache, so at some point I had deactivated my third phase because of my confused thoughts.

POV Seris Vritra

"I didn't think there was anyone like him on this continent, what does Lady Seris think?"

Narrowing my eyes, I remembered the scene I saw from a distance a few minutes ago.

Due to Agrona's orders, we were forced to increase the number of mutated beasts on this continent.

Apparently he hoped to attract the stranger who was interfering with his plans, we had not been able to find him yet because he had been inactive for a long time.

We were very close to taking the whole situation as a coincidence, but the situation has just changed.

A few meters under my feet there was a boy of about twelve or fourteen years old, walking while staggering, his coat was black with blue decorations and his hair was completely white.

I don't know if it's because he looks like me, but a very familiar feeling emanated from his aura and hair, as if I had seen him somewhere before, but I couldn't identify where.

"Do you think you've seen the boy before somewhere?" I asked my servant who accompanied me.

"I don't think I've seen him," he replied as he frowned.

I kept looking at the boy who was walking a little disoriented, but recovering quickly.

I thought about the multiple incidents in which the boy seemed to be involved, also after seeing the explosion I estimated how strong he could be, because I only saw the explosion in the distance and finally the young age he looked.

All in order to know if he was useful to me, I evaluated the benefits and disadvantages of establishing contact with him.

Cylrit asked worriedly, "Do you want me to capture him, Lady Seris?"

"Do it, but don't kill him, I want to measure his skills, so give him some room to show himself."
