Chapter 1 C. Diagon Alley.

Irene

Although I am not the most patient person on the planet, at that moment I was standing outside the front door of Aphrodite's apartment building. I could feel the summer breeze of nature gently caressing my cheeks, and as the time passed, the ambient temperature gradually dropped, making my body shiver. So as I rubbed my hands together to maintain a relative temperature, I settled the brief conversation I had with Stavros. Something wasn't going right and my instincts wouldn't calm down from the bad feeling that had been nestled in my chest for a few minutes.

"Hagrid? " I asked him suddenly and he gasped in horror.

"Please?" He said and I looked at him in disbelief.

" Do you know why Aphrodite's brother said that "I" died as soon as I was born? " At my question Hagrid turned white as paper, then blinked, so many times, as if something had gotten into his eye and he was trying to push it away.

"You never died, I mean, you're alive and your parents... " He began to say, making long gestures with his hands while he jumbled his words, but then the door opened and the familiar figure of my cousin made her appearance, bringing as always the noise.

"Irene! " She said excited and in seconds I was in her arms.

The smile on her face was infectious and I felt myself smiling after a long time.

"Hi Aphrodite, it's been a while." I said with a wide smile.

She turned my smile and got a Deep breath. As soon as her mouth opened confused sentences began to fizzle out when a soft laugh made her stop. As soon as her eyes fell on poor Hagrid, she remained staring at him like a dumbfounded fool.

"So let me introduce you to our driver, his name is Hagrid. Don't introduce yourself, it's a waste of time. "I said and she nodded in the affirmative.

"Pleased to meet you, Miss Aphrodite . As Miss Irene mentioned, I will guide you to your place of residence. " He said as he smiled at her.

Aphrodite, staring at him, then nodded her head positively and looked at the vehicle that covered the two parking spaces.

"Is that what we're going with? " She asked as she headed towards the vehicle.

" Yes, don't worry about it, it's quite safe. " Hagrid said and stroked the front lantern, straddling it.

Forgetting all the talk, we climbed aboard the vehicle and strapped ourselves in tightly.

"My stuff! " Venus said and prepared to get out of the "carriage" .

"They are at the inn where you will be staying." Hagrid caught up with her and she was left staring with her mouth wide open.

"Turn it off, there's going to be a mosquito. " I told her as I shut her mouth.

"Really? " She said, ignoring me.

"Yes, so tie yourself up and hold on. The journey begins." Hagrid said and we put on our seat belts.

"Irene, is this puppy Arkos?" she asked, obviously shocked.

I nodded in the affirmative and her reaction once again was surprised. I closed her wide open mouth again while I laughed.

"But how? I mean, it was The Triple." She said while patting the dog's head.

"Hagrid, he did me the favor of taking it with me, and here it is. In what small form, to fool my coming enemies. " I said, and she looked at the dog.

As soon as the engine started, the sound of it spread through the quiet neighborhood. Then it started to move And climbed in altitude Making my ears clog. Even now, as the machine flew across the night sky I thought I was living a dream, which would soon end, I'd wake up and study math. Nothing happened, however, except that we were both crammed into this little basket of a machine, with the puppy sleeping in the good weather on Irene's legs, and it was getting cold as we flew over the lighted city of Thessaloniki, so that I was getting cold even with the cardigan that my mother had politely urged me to wear.

"Hagrit, where is this inn you're taking us to? " I asked him curiously.

"It's in London and unfortunately, we don't have enough time to show you around." He said in frustration.

"Where? " Irene asked and looked at Hagrid with interest.

"I'll keep it for you in surprise," he said as I was struck by the beauty that lay around us.

The starfish glowed faintly in the bright moonlight, but still, they were even brighter than when I looked at them from the balcony of my house. The moon seemed so bright, and it was as if you could touch it if you put your hand out.

"You'd better hold on tight. I'm going to increase speed." He said and I reluctantly gathered my hands.

At once, the beautiful scenery blurred and I had to close my eyes. When I got used to the sensation, I concentrated on the small space and stole a glance at Irene. She smiled as she passed me and so did I. As I processed her, now short, hair that violently whipped her face, the expression she had made was all the rage. At that moment I fleetingly wondered why she had short hair, but was left wondering as I slowly began to fall asleep.

At dawn, we finally arrived in London. The cold over here was longer than in Greece, and it penetrated the clothes, making me shiver.

"Be patient and we'll soon be warm." said Hagrid, who saw me turning around and got off the bike.

From the lamp at the entrance of the alley I could see a stone wall and some garbage bags that were left behind. Even in a city like this, even here, people don't pay attention to their surroundings. I turned to look at Irene. She was wide awake and staring at the place where we were.

"Have you been awake long? " I heard her ask and I nodded in the affirmative.

"Yeah, yeah, I didn't sleep much, I wanted to enjoy the ride." I smiled at her.

At that moment Hagrid who was walking down the alleyway motioned for us to follow him. After stretching we picked up our things, the dog and walked behind the giant man.

We hadn't taken five steps when Hagrit got close to the brick wall, he stretched the umbrella out towards the place where, if you watched more closely, you would see that some of it protruded slightly.

"Are you ready? " the big man asked, and we nodded in the negative.

He laughed and tapped the nose of his umbrella rhythmically on the protruding bricks. Then the bricks quietly opened into a gate .

"Welcome to the Diagon Alley girls " Hagrid said with a broad smile while I looked excitedly at the man as well as the stone avenue where it was lined with strange buildings, ready for me to explore.
