Chapter 32: A Kiss
In those days, Matthew felt like he was changing, the less he was becoming himself.
He said, "I was a just man," to Ava.
And in this world, no one seemed to know what being fair meant. Matthew was about to teach them. But at what cost?
There was nowhere to run. If he wanted to accept the reality and be nothing in this world, beg for food and do nothing for himself, or if he wanted to change things and want more for himself and other people, whatever his choice was, he had to do it here.
The next day after the unfruitful meeting with Robin's supposed father, Matthew found himself next to Ava. He wanted to tell her everything, every time. And he thought she could help him with it.
"He could be his father or not. But the thing that makes me angry is why is he trying to hide it?"
