On your head

"Pregnant?" the queen asked in disbelief. She was surprised by what Landon had just told her. Her face changed from a hateful expression to a kind one. She became very excited and dragged Landon back to the room.

"Are you really pregnant?" she inquired to be sure.

"Yes,"Landon replied feigning shyness. " That is why the prince is in a hurry to get married. He doesn't want his child to be born out of marriage," she explained.

"Very well. Who am I to stand in your way? I think that arrangements for the wedding should start soon," she said and got up and paced in the room thinking seriously about something. Landon glanced over to Elsa and saw her horrified face and panicked.

'Did I do something wrong?' he asked in his mind.

"Do one thing. Rest for now and I will get everything done," she advised.

"Thank you your highness," he said and escorted the queen out of her room.

He went back into the room and dropped down on the bed. That was a close call for him and if he hadn't thought fast on his feet then he would probably have been kicked out of the palace. He took deep breaths and let himself relax after the tense situation that he was in.

"I will leave," Elsa said and walked towards the door.

"Wait," Landon called to her and sat up on the soft king sized bed. "Why did you look scared when I told the queen that I am pregnant?" he asked.

Elsa tensed by the door, she didn't dare turn around. "It's nothing my lady," she said trying to remain composed but her voice betrayed her feelings.

"Tell me," he pleaded.

"It's because you are carrying the demon prince's child," she mumbled softly but Landon heard her.

"It is just a nickname that he has been branded with. His child won't really be a demon," Landon said with a light tone of voice.

"Not everything is as it appears on the surface," she said and left the room.

The news of Landon's pregnancy spread through the palace faster than the speed of lightning. It reached the ears of everyone who mattered and even those with low status. The whole palace became lively and excited for the arrival of there heir. It was a grand reason to celebrate.

"The human girl is pregnant for the prince," was how the news was spread.

The prince who was in his study taking care of political matters of the kingdom suddenly heard the excitement. He asked his right hand man to go and find out what the whispers he was hearing were about. His face fell when his right hand man reported to him that the human he brought to the palace is expecting his child. He left everything that he was doing and went out to meet the mother of his unborn child.

He entered Landon's room without knocking and rushed to the bed to the male. "Your highness, welcome," Landon said offering a seat to the prince while he munched down on his food.

Theoden glared at him with blood shot eyes. He was getting on his last nerve with this wolf that never seems to stop troubling. He had only given him one task and that was to rest but how could he have expected to have a peaceful day with the crazy man around. He was yet to ever touch him and he goes and makes such big claims.

To top it all he was a man, it isn't possible for him to be pregnant unless he was of the werewolf clan. It was only them that had there males getting pregnant but this human seems to find fun in giving him a headache.

"Who gave you the right to tell such a big lie. Who gave you the right to make such a tall claim of carrying my child?" he asked him. His blood boiling with anger for her life. He yearned to strangle the life out of him.

He took the plate of food from him and there it harshly on the ground causing Landon to jump. He took him by his wrist and pulled him away from the room.

"Where are you taking me?" he asked trying to pry his hand away from the prince. His efforts went in vain because the prince was much stronger than him.

"I told you the rules of this palace and all I asked is for you to obey them but you just keep doing things your way. Now I will show you what happens when I get angry," he said and pulled him to the balcony that faced the courtyard.

"Please don't hurt me. I can explain the reason why I did that," he begged of him but the prince didn't listen. He let go of Landon's hand and went around him and held him by the shoulders.

"Watch," he said showing him the ground. There were beast men in the courtyard. There were in massive numbers and all of them were kneeling down.

"What do you wa...ahhh," he began to say but screamed instead as all the men in the courtyard had their heads cut off. All the heads rolled to the ground and the bodies fell to the ground.

"Their death is on your head. The next time you make a mistake like this again I will kill a bigger number than I have done today. There are limits and boundaries that you must never cross. But if you remain stubborn then only you will responsible for what I do. Have a nice day," he whispered to him sweetly and kissed him on the cheek before walking away from him. Leaving him paralyzed with shock and fear.

Landon stood frozen in place staring at all the dead bodies and the blood on the ground on the ground. His body was numb and his heart weighed him with guilt of all the dead people. His body was trembling out of fear and guilt. It was his fault that the prince killed them.

He couldn't get away from the place or turn away from it either. "It was just a simple lie," he whispered in disbelief. "How could he have done this for it?"

His eyes were dry, he couldn't bring himself to cry. He stood around for hours, the bodies were cleaned out and the courtyard washed spotlessly clean but he remained unmoved. He could still see the dead bodies with no heads lying on the ground.

He was never going to forget that day for the rest of his life as it was Imprinted in his memory forever.
