Fainted

"You are too ugly to serve this prince," Lu Yi Feng's piercing gaze landed on her.

Feng Xiao Qing pouted because he stabbed her self-esteem. She was a woman and what woman loved to be told that she was ugly? No woman! She gritted her teeth, trying to calm herself down. She never met a man as infuriating as this man! It probably ran through the Lu family genes --- judging from Lu Ming Cheng and Lu Yi Feng.

"What I meant with that sentence is I will believe in your arrangement as your artiste," Feng Xiao Qing emphasized the last part.

Lu Yi Feng: "You don't have to lie to yourself..."

Feng Xiao Qing: "..."

What lying to herself? She didn't have the intention to hook up with the big boss at all! Feng Xiao Qing started to see how narcissistic her new boss was. His ego was as big as a mountain. She didn't dare to refute his words --- just in case, he tore the contract and she was left with nothing.

Lu Yi Feng shuddered when he heard her flattering speech. He could even see that the woman was lying to her teeth.

"Who said about climbing my bed?" Lu Yi Feng raised one of his eyebrows and continued, "I'm only saying that you are serving me. There are many ways to serve! For example, making coffee for me."

Feng Xiao Qing: "..." He was correct though! She was the one who thought about the 'climbing his bed' part.

"Where do you live?" Lu Yi Feng asked. He scanned her application form for the audition and she left that part in a blank.

Feng Xiao Qing's cheek was slightly reddened. "It's just a small place."

Lu Yi Feng was slightly interested. "Where?" Even the smallest place should be having an address, right?

Before Feng Xiao Qing finished her words, the sound from the TV was floating to her ears. "Zhong San Lu (meaning: Middle Mountain Road)..."

Hmmm...? Feng Xiao Qing was confused. Why did the TV mention her address too?

Lu Yi Feng didn't particularly turn off the TV and he just lowered the volume down. He followed her gaze toward the TV. She watched the TV news with a flabbergasted expression and he wondered why. He tried to listen to the news carefully.

"... an old small house which already worn out beyond repair is damaged by fire. It locates at the end of Zhong San Lu and luckily the fire doesn't spread to the other houses. Cause of the fire has not been determined, but it is believed because of arson. The house is occupied by two people -- mother and daughter, fortunately, both of them aren't in the house when the fire happened..."

When Feng Xiao Qing watched the news, her rosy cheek became paler and as white as sheet. She had just gone for a night and her house was gone... It was gone! She and Xiao Xi Xi had nothing. They lost everything! Her mind repeated the scene over and over again, making her legs go weak.

Something seemed to click in Lu Yi Feng's mind. He hesitantly asked, "Is that your...?"

Feng Xiao Qing absentmindedly answered him, "My house! My house! I have nothing!"

Before Lu Yi Feng could say something else, the woman in front of him fainted.
