The Beasts Children of Emmy

In the dark, under a strange-looking tree, a lady around twenty-something could be seen clenching her stomach and looking pitiful. She seemed to be in pain and was breathing heavily. Above her in the sky, the color was very black and blurry. Rain started falling, and the thunder was clapping loudly and violently. The wind was very thick, slapping everything harshly. The lady stood with the support of the tree, using one hand to prop herself against the tree and the other hand to hold her stomach tightly. She breathed out and continued moving weakly. "Seems like I'm not going to escape this. What type of poison is this?" she wondered. She unbuckled her belt to relieve some pain, then sat down somewhere and groaned while her hand wandered around on the wet ground until it made contact with something. She picked it up and saw the object with the help of the lightning. The thing was round like a bead, and something joined them together. She did not care about what it was and just swallowed it. She was going to die anyway, at least she ate something. She could not figure out the taste of the thing, but it was surely not normal because as soon as it made contact with her throat, it felt very hot, as if she had drunk hot water that had not cooled. "Sh*t! Even in death, my luck is still very bad," she muttered. She was still lamenting when her aching stomach suddenly stopped aching. She did not have the chance to rejoice when her stomach started swelling up, getting bigger and bigger. It was as if it wanted to burst but, alas, it didn't. She could feel herself in labor. She groaned until something escaped her body - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. She was relieved from both the poison pain and her swollen stomach pain. When she looked at what she had given birth to, she was shocked. Eggs. She had given birth to eggs. And there were six. What happened to the eggs? "Ah!" she screamed loudly, trying to push out whatever wanted to escape her body.

Suddenly, like a hen laying eggs, something hard and solid escaped her body in a rush, relieving her from the pain she experienced in her huge stomach.

She sighed in relief and sat up, looking at what was below her with her mouth wide open in shock and surprise.

"Are these eggs? Did I give birth to eggs?" she wondered.

As she was lost in thought, she saw the eggs growing bigger and bigger. At first, she thought the eggs were going to burst, but to her surprise, they stopped growing bigger when they reached a certain size.

The rain fell harder, and the thunder rumbled loudly.

The lady did not know what to do with the eggs, but she was certain of one thing: she gave birth to them, and she wouldn't just abandon them.

Just as she was about to pack the eggs to escape somewhere, lightning struck one of the eggs.

"Ah!" she was frightened as she watched the lightning strike all six eggs. "My... my... my children," she murmured, unsure of what to do next.

She watched as the eggs cracked at the same time, her mouth wide open in shock.

What frightened her the most was that as the eggs hatched, different wild animals emerged from the shells.

The lady was dumbfounded, looking at the animals: a blue and green mixed-colored Peahen, a black and red-colored anaconda, a silver tiger, a golden fox, a snow-white phoenix, and a black-colored eagle.

The animals walked to the lady's side, a soft light glowing on their bodies. Before she could comprehend what was happening, she saw the animals transform into humans, all looking exactly like her.

The fox transformed into a beautiful lady with golden hair and beautiful golden eyes, the giant anaconda transformed into a handsome man with long red hair and red eyes, the eagle transformed into a handsome man with long black hair and black eyes, the Peahen transformed into a beautiful lady with blue-green eyes and hair, the phoenix transformed into a beautiful lady with snow-white hair and black eyes, and the silver tiger transformed into a silver-haired handsome man with long hair as well.

The funniest part was that they all grew up to be the same age as the lady. If anyone were to ask who they were and she replied that they were her children, they would surely give her a weird gaze

"What is going on? How did I end up giving birth to children of the same age as me?" she thought to herself.

"You... you all..." she stammered as she looked at the carbon copies of herself.

"Mother!" they all echoed together.

The lady couldn't figure out what was happening, and suddenly her vision started blurring. She didn't have the chance to voice out whatever was on her mind before passing out.

Perhaps she was dreaming.

Perhaps it was an illusion.

Everything should be fine by the time she wakes up.

The beasts looked at each other in confusion before carrying the fainted lady to somewhere safe, waiting for her to wake up.

The next day...

As Emmy woke up, the dawn's light filtered through palm leaves, shielding her from the sun. She blinked and rubbed her forehead, trying to make sense of everything.

"All of this is just a dream? I didn't die... how I wish it wasn't a dream and I gave birth to them for real," she murmured to herself with a tinge of regret.

Just then, a melodious voice reached her ears, a voice that could control the whole world.

"Mother!"

She turned towards the source and saw a perfect replica of herself with long white hair walking towards her. Though they looked alike, the beauty of the white-haired lady surpassed emmy's own. She was holding a plate made of leaves with care, adding to her elegance as she approached Emmy.

"Oh my gosh! It's not a dream! I really gave birth to beasts!" Emmy screamed inwardly with excitement and disbelief.

The white-haired lady moved to Emmy's side, smiling radiantly. Her smile had the power to melt hearts.

"You are really strong, Mother. You gave birth to six of us at once. I really love you," the white-haired lady said, her expression endearing. "Here, they're fresh. I acquired them early this morning especially for you to help restore your energy," she said, passing the leaf plate to Emmy.

Emmy smiled and leaned forward to see what was inside the delicately made plate. However, to her horror, the food she saw was full of living worms and tiny pests.

"Ah!" Emmy screamed, recoiling and nearly retching. "You want me to eat this? Are you kidding me?" She looked at the white-haired lady in terror.

The white-haired lady observed the 'food' and tilted her head slightly, a look of confusion crossing her face as she noticed emmy's reaction.

"Mother, what's wrong? I gathered these specially for you, they are the finest delicacies from our forest," the white-haired lady said with a genuine smile.

Emmy was dumbfounded; she did not even know what to say. "Just... just take it away... take it away first," she waved her hand in rejection.

The white-haired lady bowed her head, feeling rejected.

Emmy saw this and couldn't bear to say any more words of rejection, but could she really eat it? Of course not, she is human anyway. "Whether I like it or not, I have already given birth to them. I should be a good mother," she thought to herself and breathed in. "Come here, dear, but put... put... that... erm... food away first," she said.

Hearing Emmy's call, the white-haired lady quickly put the 'food' aside and rushed to Emmy's side, looking at her with twinkling eyes.

Emmy could feel her heart soften just by looking at the white-haired lady. She raised her hand and rubbed the white-haired lady's hair; she could feel how soft it was, like wool. It even calmed her heart just by rubbing it.

"What soft hair," Emmy thought to herself.

Looking at the dazed Emmy, the white-haired lady smiled in satisfaction and asked, "Mom, do you like my hair?"

"Yes," Emmy nodded. "Mom loves it," she replied, unaware.

The white-haired lady smiled happily and then looked at the food that was not too far from them and said, "Since Mother is now in a good mood, she should eat something." She wanted to grab the food, but a snowy blue-green nail stopped her.

Looking at the owner of the hand, the white-haired lady saw a stunning two-colored-haired lady. The lady had an arrogant smile on her lips that bewitched souls. "Use your senses, Phoenix; Mother did not want your food," she said and slapped the food away with the back of her hand.
