Julia stared at Davi's back as he passed by the entrance.

At first, she was too lost to utter a word. she passed his speech through her mind again and again, but couldn't find any clue that he was kidding.

'Do what he says or separate? Humpft' "Haha," She cackled out loud.

Davi looked back at her.

His chilling gaze aimed at her. She felt the need to step back, but his words and imposing manner of before, as if he owned her already, pissed her off. Her own black eyes turned violent.

"I'll prepare for your apartment. But I won't take your wealth in my care, nor will I leave my house! If you can't accept that, then we truly don't need to work together anymore!"

Davi stared at her, puzzled.

He thought they were in that point where she was too disheartened with her own house and started to obsess with him. he remembered it came a time where she would subtly hint that she was available. She would be even more obvious as her husband's habits worsened. But she got pregnant and stopped as if giving up she went away.

At that time he avoided any, and all kinds of things that could awake the beast inside him, he was also stressed by the state of his family, so he simply ignored her signs of help.

A sudden thought struck on him. 'This is the day of my awakening... in this period, Her husband is still being subtle about his issues and our friendship is more of a siblings kind..' He grinned after understanding the situation.

'Just as well, I'm a different person from before, it's better for her to get to know me. And if she doesn't like me then...' His eyes closed to a slit.

"One month. I'll pursue you for one month, By the end, if you have not decided, I'll make that decision for you." He stated.

They stared daggers at each other.

She was calmer with his first words but enraged at his last. 'Make the decision for me!? what will he do? Cut all relations? Whatever! I can find another job. Keep me by his side with force? Humpft, thin as a stick and paler than a vampire. I can beat you up easily.!"

She scoffed and followed after him.

As they neared, the door opened, A handsome middle-aged butler opened the door.

"Mr.Davi please come this way."

Julia composed herself and walked calmly. While Davi simply walked relaxed, a completely different image from the usual stern, tired biologist.

They went down a set of stairs, after a solid ten minutes of walking. They reached the basement. A huge place, double the size of the villa itself. well lit and organized.

A three meter tall and three-meter wide mirror portal was shining with an elegant mature woman sitting on a sofa a few meters beside it.

The butler stopped and grabbed a bag from a woman wearing a light maid outfit. He turned around and handed it to Davi with a bow.

Davi took the thing inside 'black suit and a black breathing mask with glasses...'

He wore the suit and walked towards the woman by the portal.

He gave her a top to bottom glance.

She was a slim 159cm tall woman. Wearing a bold tight black casual dress, her fair legs were exposed from slightly above the knees until the calf was black high heels showcased the well-done fingernails. His eyes went back to her face.

A black tannie haircut, combined with her glowing green scornful eyes. she was grinning with disdain with her light red thin lips.

"Saw enough?" She said with disdain. "At least your father had the decency to disguise his eyes."

Davi looked to the portal. "Karen, you'll just let me through?"

He ignored her but she just scoffed. "Would you tell me the method knowing I might just turn this portal off and leave you to die on the other side? And my name is Jessica. besides I'm sure you'll tell me when you get back, your little assistance will stay here after all."

Davi looked behind him and the butler was beside Julia.

"Karen, after thirty-eight years of life you finally learned to be aggressive," Davi smirked.

Her eye twitched for an instant but she never lost pose.

"Bastard child, you should go now. I'll take care of your little assistant."

Davi smiled.

"What are you doing? You just awakened today, and you're already going to 'Haven'? I thought you would just sell her a damn fake method and go away!"

Julia's restless voice came to his ear.

He smiled but didn't look back.

They watched as he disappeared inside the mirror.

Scorching heat, dense foliage, sounds of insects and distant growls. Air pure of any Human pollution, A forest rick in mana. The place humanity called 'Haven.' They thought it would be another blessing.

Davi, wearing a black suit and breathing mask, took the t-shirt she was wearing and rolled it on his face leaving on the eyes to visible.

He remembered humanity's hopes towards 'Haven.' fully well, he was one of the most devoted towards research and development. But now knowing everything he couldn't help but scoff at it.

'This place is just another world with similar intelligent life. Their ideal plan is that we fight for each other. So they can choose and fight for the best fighters and most talented beings to adhere to their own race. Then whatever resource's left will be taken.'

He went up a tree and looked around. form the distance he saw the hunter Academy, "It's behind it, I'm at least two kilometers away from the place they meet." He muttered.

His mana pool was shallow anyone in this place had at least double his mana. But he just smiled and started running.

"Here we are, people! I'm Jonas, the blonde hero!"

A tall handsome young man said to a small camera.

*Slap* A hand slapped his back.

"Stop messing around, this is serious!" A tall shaved man slapped Jonas back.

Two girls to the side laughed.

Jonas scratched his back; "Lucio, I'm practicing my acting! the show will start in twenty minutes!"

"Silly, It doesn't matter if you start practicing now." A blonde seventeen years old girl, wearing a white dress said.

"Yes and today is the first stream on 'Haven' the people will barely care for us." Another armor wearing black haired young woman said.

They messed around on the edge to enter the forest, waiting for the time.

On the basement where the portal Davi went through, Jessica and Julia were seated while watching the first stream in 'Haven' Jessica was attentive but Julia kept looking at the portal she bit her lips in anger.

'No use to be like this.' she tried to relax and just kept her eyes at the screen.

'Now, on this historic day! the Aspiring five, ON HAVEN!' The Reporter announced and the image on TV changed.

Julia absent-mindedly watched as the five young men and women traveled through the jungle, they killed small beasts, most of the named after fiction books, Monster rabbits, giant rats, poison vipers. All monster she already saw on the lab Davi worked. Even though she has never seen Heaven itself she couldn't keep her mind off of Davi, she only hoped he would appear in the TV as a participant of the show, then she would know he was safe.

Time passed and twenty minutes in. They were already slightly far from the academy, one of the girls wanted to go back but the blonde boy Jonas wanted to hunt a Deer monster, it was the size of a horse but to a five-person team like them, it was a reasonable pray and it kept the show interesting, twenty minutes more and they are far away enough.

Suddenly.

Five-person stood in front of them, to call them human was wrong, but to call them monster was too much, their skin was dark some obsidian and some grey but not like humans, their ears were pointed and they all had yellow eyes. Some of them had white tattoos on their body.

The aspiring five trembled.

Julia and Jessica froze. In the ten years since the discovery of Haven, it was the first time that kind of creature has appeared.

A seemingly elder of their side stepped forward prompting the aspiring five to prepare for battle. which in turn made the creature alert and ready.
