“Bombardment”
From time to time, helicopters with searchlights could be seen hovering in the air, sweeping the dark wilderness with their "pillar of light".
Many times, Neo's whole body was exposed under the pillar of light, but maybe because he was too small or he was too ordinary, anyway, none of the helicopters took action.
After running for around ten minutes, Neo gradually saw more and more sources of light from District 9 on his left side.
Apparently he passed by a country or a small town, with more sources of lights and more people gathering at the top of the town's wall.

His keen hearing as a cockroach suddenly caught countless rustling noises, resembling the rubbing of some insect's legs with the bushes.
