TO TRICK THE OFFICER!

Three days ago!

Ambrosia was looking outside through the balcony of her chambers as the palace people greeted the messenger and the transferer of gifts from the Queen and King of the Land of Mortals.

As the date of the wedding rolled in closer, the more and more gifts were exchanged between the two kingdoms.

More than the gifts, there were things that would need it's presence during the wedding ceremonial and hence they were already making arrangement of it all.

Both the Kingdoms had their own traditions and cultures. And both wanted to keep in respect with each of their rituals and rites.

The capital was in bliss. The decoration was not limited to only the palace but it covered the entire capital and beyond, the nearby towns in proximity.

As Ambrosia walked around the street wearing a disguise, not like the people would recognize her in any way because they had not seen the Princess up close ever.

She watched as the little girls played and danced, the young boys fooled around in the capital square, many sellers from different parts of the Kingdom trying to sell their things, there was even a section where merchants from the foreign lands were assembled, attracting only the well off people to buy their stuff.

Ambrosia strode around mapping a way for her escape. The guards were everywhere. Due to the constant fear of the possible war, the Queen had tightened it all around the Capital.

And what made it more difficult to elope out without being noticed by anyone was the presence of vampires all around the capital.

Being the first class citizen, their population was mostly situated in the capital and nearby towns.

There had been a new rule where the vampires had to register their travelling in and out of the capital because their population was of utmost importance to the Queen and she could not lose them to leaving the kingdom for any of their silly adventures reason or anything alike.

When she reached nearby the gates of the capital, it was already surrounded by heavy security in and out, all around.

And from the distance, she could see a line of vampires and vampiress, waiting for their turn to show their licence of permit to move in and out of the place.

Ambrosia removed the head of the cloak from her face and stood in front of the registerer.

The vampires and vampiress looked at each other and started gossiping. The golden tiara sitting on her head made it clear that she was indeed the Princess from the Palace.

"Move aside! The Princess is here."

The head guard officer of the Gates walled up to the Princess, followed by his armed men.

"Good day to you my Princess, we received no news of your presence to be here today."

The officer claimed, bowing down at her. She nodded and then replied.

"Then is my presence not welcomed here, officer?"

"I take my words back if they offended you, my Princess. I meant nothing as such. Your presence is utmost welcomed here. "

The officer spoke and Ambrosia looked around as he did. She was trying to spot for her mother's spies.

Now that she had revealed herself to the crowd, in no time, the news would spread and in each nook and corner, the Queen had her spies, who were only loyal to her.

"We would be delighted to serve you in anyway possible, my Princess. Just have mercy on us and provide us with one chance to do this honour."

The Princess turned to look forward again and the officer patiently waited for her to give commands.

"Then take me around this place. I shall like to measure it's sanctity by myself. "

The Princess declared and the officer did not budge at first. Because such kind of maintenance check ups happened here everyday but if someone special from the palace was to visit for the inspection, they always got news about that.

"The circumstances are not so well as I have best known about."

The Princess leaned a bit closer such that she could whisper it to the officer. She did not want the rest of the crowd to hear about it and create unwanted panic and fear.

But the colour on the face of the officer changed right away, listening to the Princess and she could tell that it was finally working.

Her mother, the Queen had made sure that each in the Kimgdom owed only to her and no one and hence the evidence how even after being the Princess of the Kingdom, he was reluctant to show her around without orders.

"I'm to wed Prince Damien of the Land of the Mortals in the coming week and I wanted to make sure my people, my kingdom was safe before I leave. "

She played her emotional card trying to get into the head of the officer as he peeked into her eyes.

In her mind, she tricked him with hypnotism and as he remained silent, she could tell that this man was not a vampire but a mortal.

Because if he was a vampire, he would have repelled her hypnotism. She was not strong in that part of the ability.

Every vampire had a unique ability, only fixed to them. And she got two to keep making her special. One from her father and one her own self.

The ability to levitate in the air was from her father and Pyrokinesis, the ability to summon heat and fire, control it and use it as a weapon by dancing both her hands was her own.

Those two abilities made her weigh over other vampires in measure because a vampire could only have one ability and she had two of them.

Over time, she had also tried to train herself in mind reading and telepathy, but it was not her strong hold.

Meanwhile, it was Lavanya, who had the ability to Telepathy, reading people's mind and going strong in reading vampires, getting stronger in weak and young vampires, going weak in range with a powerful and older vampire.

At the same time, nobody knew the Queen's ability. It was a secret. She had kept it secret all her life. Except for her husband, who was dead by then, nobody knew what her strength was.

It did not make her vulnerable from others either because being one of the most oldest known vampires, she could use any ability on a weak and young vampire, weighing over them.

The officer finally gave in and stepped aside.

"After you my Princess!"
