The Fate of an Emperor

It's already been 5 months since lucious turned 19. He grew apart from evander. Whenever he'd say hi or try to talk to evander he would just get ignored. He was upset at evander. He decided he would no longer talk to evander unless evander approaches him first. It was hard at first but with time he actually managed to ignore evander. He just studied very well. He wanted to make armista proud. But his popularity began to decline. People were already forgetting about him. He needed to go unto another campaign soon. He needed to boost his popularity. He talked with armista about it. Luckily there was a rebellion in one of Trystia's provinces and lucious might be a good fit to go there. Lucious agreed that maybe he should go. Armista adviced him to just train for 1 month more and then he could ask emperor kishendren to send him to suppress the rebellion. Lucious agreed but asked armista why he needed to train for another month. For why can't he just go their now and suppress the rebellion immediately. Armista just told him to listen as it is for his own good. Lucious let out a sigh and said okay.

Emperor kishendren has been struggling to suppress the rebellion for a few months now. His lead general was wounded at the leg and needed time to recover. He ordered his men to go in a defensive position and secure the civilians first. He ordered his second son to go to that province and hold the line while his general recovers. He told his son that he was not to attack whatsoever but only defend. He cannot risk losing one of his sons. And more importantly he could not risk losing at all. He needed to suppress the rebellion as fast as possible because he was already being mocked by his people of his capability to rule the empire. He couldn't even suppress the rebellion after months. It also didn't help that he made such a lavish banquet for his daughters suitors. And that went to waste. So much money went to waste as their princess didn't even pick a suitor. People were now starting to feel uneasy. He now had to make a move fast. He had to send more resources fast. His man could only last 3 more months with their food and water. He had to make a choice on who to send next as his general might not even recover at all. The physicians told him that the generals legs might need to be cut of because of an Infection. He was now under massive pressure by the whole empire...

Hyacinths power has been growing these past few months. His empire was at peace and was flourishing. He was even called "Emperor Hyacinth the Philanthropic". He was known now as a wise, brave, generous and Benelovent emperor. He was a good ruler. He decided to send his generals to find more land to expand the empire. He told them not to return until they find one. Hyacinth was aiming to gain more land and space because the amount of people that were in the Gillian empire was increasing drastically. Many people were having at least 5-10 children or even more. The provinces were now overcrowded and the people are send their concerns to hyacinth. He stated that he will send as much men as he can so the empire could expand. The good thing is that more children are born. The more the children are the more possibility of getting sons. More sons means more men. More men means more soldiers. Hyacinth knew he needed to expand to house many of the children. He saw them as the hope of the Gillian empire. The Gillian empires children were his pride and joy. Hyacinth had 4 brothers and 3 sisters. His eldest brother died from an illness. His second brother died in battle. His third brother was executed by his father. His fourth brother was poisoned by his father. His eldest sister was married off to a tyrant king and she killed herself. His second sister died of childbirth. His youngest sister died because of an accident. He was the only one left. Seeing one sibling die was as painful as hell. Imagine seeing 7 of your siblings die one by one. And all of them died because of their father. His eldest brother died of an illness because his father sent him to a provinces that had a developing plague. His second brother was forced by his father to go to battle even though he was still so young. His third brother was executed just because he was gaining popularity for being a kind and Benelovent prince. His fourth brother was poisoned by his father just because his brother got mad at his father for having multiple mistresses. His father forcefully married his elder sister off even though she loved another man. His second sister died of childbirth because his father married his sister off at a very young age and because she got pregnant very young. His youngest sister died because of his father's carelessness and she fell off the castle and died because of impact. Hyacinth vowed that if he even ever had a child that he would cherish that child so greatly. He vowed to love that child. He vowed to protect that child. Whatever happens hyacinth will be there for that child. Hyacinth misses his siblings so greatly. He sees their portraits when they were still young. He saw his mother die. He had to kill his father. He had to do such vile acts to be on the throne so he vowed to never lose his honor and only do what is best for all. What is best for his family and the future of the dynasty. He said to himself "I guess this really is the fate of an emperor. It's always been kill or be killed before."...
