Jealous Girlfriend

The days pass fast. I was no longer being interrogated by the boys in my grades. They eventually understood there is nothing they can do by interrogating me. Me and Tochaki-san started hanging out more openly as more and more people accepted us. Many of the girls were happy that the school idol was finally taken by someone. Many of the boys were all chasing Tochaki-san from the beginning, so now that one of the girl's biggest competitions is gone, it makes it easier for other girls to get into relationships.

"Dear, I have to go somewhere today after school, you can go home without me for today."

"Alright. See you at home then dear."

I received this text from Tochaki-san right after school. It seems like she plans on hanging out with some of her other friends for today. Well obviously I couldn't keep her all to myself. In the end, she has her own life to live and it's not like I own her or anything.

"What, are you sad your cute girlfriend is not going home with you today?"

"Shut up Kanjiro. I'm sure she has her reasons. Its not like she has to be with me 24/7."

Kanjiro was smiling while sitting on his desk.

"Juni, don't you know what next week is?"

"Next week?"

Kenji, who was sitting two rows in front of me, walked towards me and asked me whether I knew what was next week. It seems Kenji was becoming more friendly with his classmates. After apologizing to Tochaki-san, his confidence came back to him a little bit and he was making a lot of friends who used to think he was arrogant. Even some girls noticed his change and were paying more attention to him.

Anyways, what is next week? I opened up my phone calendar and looked at the events for next week. February 14th… Kanjiro and Kenji smiled.

"It's Valentine's Day Juni… I'm sure you might have a good idea on what Tochaki-san might be doing today and during the weekend. Its the Monday after this weekend!"

"Should I be expecting something from her?"

"You would be weird if you didn't expect anything. Whatever, since your cute girlfriend is busy, wanna go grab some food?"

"Yea sure. Why not."

Usually during the Friday before the weekend starts, the Chefs at Tokita-san's house all go home early, meaning Friday dinner and Saturday and Sunday, me, Tochaki-san, and Tokita-san were responsible for food ourselves. However, it was good that Tokita-san was a good cook so he usually takes care of the food during times of this. He however has to work overtime today so I guess I have to figure out food by myself.

I took out my phone and texted Tokita-san what I would be doing. The message was immediately seen and he sent an OK emoji back. 

"Alright let's go."

Me, Kanjiro, and Kenji walked out of school and walked towards a local mall where restaurants were cheap but also delicious. I felt my phone vibrate and took it out while we waited in a line for the restaurant we planned on eating at.

"Dear. Are you home yet?"

It was a message from Tochaki-san. She sure is worried for someone like me when our house is only a ten minute walk from school. But I guess I didn't tell her I was going out today as well.

"Sorry dear, Kanjiro and Kenji wanted to have dinner together with me. We are waiting in a line right now."

The read message popped up immediately and I can see her text bubble. She is taking an awful long time sending a single text message…

"Oh I see… are there any girls invited?"

Is this what is known as jealousy? I can practically imagine Tochaki-san texting me with a blush face right now. Maybe I should have a little fun with this. I decided to reply back with a lie.

"Yea. You know Kanjiro and Kenji are popular with girls. Some girls wanted to come."

The read message popped up immediately again. Instead of another text bubble from Tochaki-san, I received a phone call from her.

"Sorry guys, I have to take this call. I'll be back in a few minutes."

"No problem. This restaurant is popular so the wait time will be long."

I ran to a place where there are only a few people and accepted the call.

"Dear… where are you right now?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"Because… I just want to know!"

Is she scared I would get stolen by another girl? Does she know that someone like me would never get stolen, especially when my partner is you?

"Relax Tochaki-san, I was joking. The only people here are me, Kanjiro, and Kenji. No girls were invited."

"I don't believe you."

"Let me screen share them."

I opened my phone's camera and now she can see the place I am at. I pointed my phone camera towards the long line at the restaurant and although the phone camera quality wasn't the best, it was obvious two guys in the middle of the line were Kanjiro and Kenji.

"See? No girls from our school. You can relax."

"...Alright dear…"

I really want to confirm if she was jealous though.

"Tochaki-san, were you scared I would get charmed by another girl?"

If she desperately tries to deny it, then it was obvious she was uncomfortable with me talking to another gender when she isn't here.

"Yea… I'm scared someone will steal you from me…"

I didn't think she would admit it immediately. It seems like I really made her worry if she is willing to speak the truth directly.

"But… i-it's not l-like you can't talk to other girls! I don't own you anyways! But… It just doesn't feel right in my heart."

She really is a maiden in love. If any guy sees the screen I'm seeing right now they won't last a second.

"Tochaki-san, do you think I would love other girls?"

"I don't think so. But it's just the thought of it happening… I don't like it…"

"Relax Tochaki-san. Again, there are no girls with us today. Plus, the only person I would love is you."

"Saying that doesn't comfort me at all…"

"What will comfort you then?"

"...Come to my room after you come back… I'll be waiting."

She ended the call before I could say anything. I became quite nervous for the rest of the day until I got back to the house.
