Chapter 224: Business Or Pleasure

AJ shook his head, ignoring his Boar in favor of focusing on the matter at hand. First, there was the business side of this thing to settle. He'd have to straighten out his Bear later.

"Ah yes, Miss Baron---"

"Actually, it's Mrs. Ramirez," Estella smiled widely at the older man who, in AJ's opinion, had taken too much time looking her over from head to toe.

It was the first time he'd heard his name attached to hers, and he had to say, he liked it. Possessive cave bear that he was. Mrs. AJ Ramirez. Yes, sir! He liked the sound of that quite a lot.

Grrr.

"Ah, apologies," the man said. "I am Alistair Berne, acting lawyer for you, I see, Mr. Ramirez?"

"That's right," AJ replied.

"Well, I've gone over the documents here and the terms are more than fair, I can assure you. Your, uh, wife," he said the word as if he didn't believe that for one bit, and AJ reached out and took Estella's hand, squeezing it affectionately and dropping a small kiss on her wrist.
