Chapter Sixty-Seven

As the cruise ship set sail from the Italian port, the excitement was palpable among Jayden and the girls.

The next stop on their cruise was La Seyne-sur-Mer in France, and they had around 40 hours of sailing ahead of them.

But they didn't mind the journey; after all, the cruise ship offered a myriad of fun activities to pass the time.

Currently, they were all gathered on Deck Eight, where a glow-in-the-dark laser tag arena awaited them.

The neon lights cast an otherworldly glow, adding an extra layer of suspense to the game. The girls couldn't contain their enthusiasm, and even Jayden was eager to join in on the action.

As the game started, the arena came alive with lasers and laughter. They split into teams, with Jayden and Harley finding themselves on opposing sides.

Ivy and Selina were formidable opponents, using their agility and quick reflexes to dart between obstacles and score a lot of points.

Lola displayed surprising accuracy, earning her team some impressive victories.

As the battle raged on, Jayden found himself both on the giving and receiving end of friendly banter. He managed to tag Ivy successfully, but not without a playful protest from her.

"Nice shot, Jayden, but don't expect me to go easy on you next time!" Ivy teased, flashing him a mischievous smile.

Harley, on the other hand, was a bundle of energy, zooming around like a tornado of neon light. She playfully kept calling out "Pew pew!" as she took shots at her friends. Her contagious enthusiasm brought laughter to everyone on the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Selina moved with the grace of a cat, using her stealth to sneak up on unsuspecting opponents.

"Don't worry, boys, you can thank us later for giving you the chance to lose so spectacularly," Selina quipped, earning a chorus of laughs from her team.

Lola, despite being a newcomer to laser tag, quickly found her footing. She was a fast learner, and her competitive spirit added an exciting dynamic to the game.

As the minutes ticked by, Jayden couldn't help but be impressed by his team's skills.

But as the game approached its climax, Jayden and Harley found themselves as the last players standing. Their teams had given it their all, and now it was down to these two to determine the winner.

As they faced each other, Jayden couldn't help but smile. "Ready to face defeat, Harley?"

She grinned back, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "You wish! Prepare to eat my dust, Jayden!"

The tension in the arena was palpable as they circled each other, trying to anticipate the other's next move. They fired their lasers with precision, each shot missing by a hair's breadth.

But just as they were about to engage in the final showdown, their game was cut short by an unexpected interruption.

Two bratty kids, who had been lurking in the shadows, decided to take matters into their own hands. With an expertly aimed shot, they managed to tag both Jayden and Harley in the back.

As they turned to face the young culprits, the kids broke into victorious laughter, clearly pleased with their antics.

Harley pouted playfully. "Oh, come on! We were so close to settling this!"

Jayden couldn't help but chuckle.' Wait aren't these the same two brats that caused some trouble for the mascot a day ago.'

Jayden had immediately recognised them.

With the game officially over, the girls all shared a good-natured laugh, not minding the abrupt ending. After all, it was just another memorable moment in their trip.

After the exhilarating game of laser tag, the group decided to explore the cruise ship individually, each seeking out activities that piqued their interest the most.

Ivy (Deck 9 - The open garden):

Ivy strolled to the serene garden on Deck 9, seeking solace among the lush greenery and fragrant blooms.

The peaceful atmosphere was a welcome contrast to the chaos of the laser tag arena. Ivy relished the chance to be one with nature, her connection to plants making her feel at home.

As she walked among the flowers, her fingers gently brushed against the leaves, and she couldn't help but murmur words of affection to her leafy friends.

As Ivy wandered through the serene garden, she couldn't help but smile at the sight of the vibrant flowers.

"You all look so lovely today," she whispered to the plants, feeling a sense of tranquillity.

A fellow passenger passing by smiled at her, and Ivy greeted them warmly, "Isn't this garden just divine? Nature always brings such peace."

"Doesn't it Just."

Harley (Deck 15 - Grand Zipline):

Harley, brimming with energy, couldn't wait to reach Deck 15 to try out the zipline.

The adrenaline rush from the laser tag had left her craving more excitement, and the thought of soaring through the air filled her with glee. As she climbed up to the starting point, her heart raced with anticipation.

"Alright', let's see what you've got!" Harley exclaimed excitedly as she got harnessed up for the zipline.

Once she took the plunge, she let out a delighted whoop as the wind rushed past her, her pigtails flapping in the breeze. Harley's infectious laughter echoed through the deck.

As she soared through the air, she couldn't help but giggle with delight.

"Wee! This is way better than that roller coaster ride in Gotham. I gotta install me one of these when I get back."

Lola (Deck 7 - The Collections Bar):

Meanwhile, Lola made her way to one of the stylish bars on Deck 7.

As a bar owner, she saw this as the perfect opportunity to explore different concoctions and gain inspiration for her establishment.

The skilled bartenders gladly presented her with their signature drinks, and Lola savoured every sip, taking note of the unique flavours and presentation.

She engaged in animated conversations with the bartenders, exchanging ideas and sharing stories from her own bar back home.

At the bar, Lola sampled a creative cocktail and savoured the mix of flavours. She turned to the bartender and complimented them.

"This is an impressive concoction! Mind sharing the secret recipe with me?" The bartender laughed, appreciating her enthusiasm.

"Sure thing, we love experimenting here." He said before the other bartenders also began chatting away with Lola.

Selina (Deck 5 - The Museum):

Selina, ever the stone lover, sought out the museum on Deck 5 to see the renowned blood diamond on display.

The sparkling jewel held a fascinating history, and Selina couldn't help but be drawn to its allure.

As Selina stood before the legendary blood diamond, her curiosity was piqued. "Fascinating," she mused, "I wonder what kind of secrets you hold."

A passerby noticed her interest and struck up a conversation, "Quite the diamond, huh?" Selina replied with a mysterious smile, "Indeed, it is. And the security ain't that hard to get past either."

"Wait what!!!"

"Huh, sorry I didn't say anything," Selina said with a smile and the person nodded, maybe they had just misheard her.

Jayden ( The Lounge Area):

Jayden, with his laid-back charm, decided to mingle with the other passengers in one of the lounge areas.

His friendly demeanour and genuine interest in others made him a magnet for conversation. As he chatted with fellow travellers, he learned about their different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.

Jayden's easygoing nature put everyone at ease, and soon, they were exchanging laughter as if they had known each other for years.

Jayden sat at the lounge, sipping a refreshing drink, and striking up conversations with fellow passengers.

"Traveling opens up a world of opportunities," he remarked to a couple he met, genuinely interested in their stories. "It's been a pleasure meeting you both. Enjoy the rest of the cruise!"

(Later at the dinner table!)

The group reunited at dinner, and laughter filled the air as they shared their time away.

Harley exclaimed, "I flew like a bird on that zipline! I'm telling ya, it was bonkers!" Ivy added, "And I spent some quality time with my green companions in the garden. It was nice so I think ill visit tomorrow as well.

Lola smiled, "The bar had some fantastic mixes! I got so many ideas for my place."

Selina's eyes glinted mischievously, "Ah, and the diamond, it spoke to me in ways only precious gems can." She said already thinking of multiple ways she could steal it.

Jayden chuckled, "You all had quite the day. I had a blast mingling with the fellow travellers. I even met this one person who also had a love for cats..."

As the evening continued, they raised their glasses for a toast, grateful for each other's company and the exciting experiences the cruise had to offer.

( Vip Rooms - Deck 15)

Meanwhile, in a private VIP room, a woman with cascading silverish white hair and a lithe figure sat crossed-legged on her bed, while meticulously cleaning her katana with care.

Besides the rare hair colour, the other thing to stand out about her was probably the black Titanium Nylon eye patch covering her right eye.

She lifted the katana under the room's light and observed it carefully as the edge glinted with a beautiful shine showing off the blade's intricate patterns.

"Don't worry you'll be well fed tomorrow..." She said speaking to the blade as if alive, before sheathing the blade and placing it on a table by her bed.
