The Beginning

Zero Brunnek a boy named so by his parents for having no magical energy at birth. His older siblings prodigious in three different schools of magic while he cannot do any at all.

Zero lays in bed staring up at the ceiling narrating his life story as if he were telling a fairytale but alas his life were no such thing.

His mother cries out for him to make something of himself. He groans as he gets up then throws a shirt over his head while walking out of his room. As he goes past each of the rooms of his siblings he sees that all of the beds are still full. He alone was woken up. Zero goes down the steps to the kitchen and finds his parents sitting at the table chatting about what who knows. as soon as he enters his father lectures him about not getting breakfast ready sooner. Spurred on by his father Zero hastens to light a fire under the stove. Zero after getting the fire going grabs a pan and begins making eggs,sausage and toast. within a few seconds of serving his father and mother Zero's siblings begin to arrive. First is the eldest brother Richard. Shortly thereafter follows the third eldest which is there sister Emelia. And last but most definitely not least the second eldest boy Kaiden. As each arrives Zero quickens to serve each one. Richard after sitting down snidely says "at least you make a decent servant." This gives everyone around the table chuckle, well except Zero. Zero like usual takes his food elsewhere to eat away from this abuse.
