Chapter 6 Part 1

It's the day after Christopher's birthday and he's waking up, a wide smile on his face as he stretches.

"Sleep well, Snugglebug?" Jasyn asks.

"I slept amazingly. last night was, *huff* perfect." Christopher exclaims. A satisfied smile on his face.

(Narrator) They had sex. Just in case that wasn't clear. And I can already hear the question, I didn't write it down because one, I wasn't in there. And two, their first time should be private. Get a hold of yourselves.

"You said that out loud, Tari." Christopher says, laughing like a madman.

(Narrator) I am so sorry.

"You're fine. What you said was funny. Thank you for keeping your promise to me."

"What did they say?" Jasyn asks.

"Wouldn't you like to know." Christopher laughs.

"Yeah, I would." Jasyn says.

"He was just explaining why last night isn't in the R.O.I.M.P. and his comment just got me laughing."

"Oh, those books that the Gods have the wisp's write? Thank you Tari! Wherever you are." Jasyn says.

Christopher laughs harder, barely able to breathe. "Stop." He mouths. "*GASP!* Please, stop making me laugh. I can't!"

"I'll go downstairs and make us some breakfast." Jasyn says, leaning in for a kiss.

"I'll be down in a little bit." Christopher replies, entangling their lips together.

Jasyn gets out of bed wearing only boxer briefs. I can see it all. Burning sight into eyes!

Christopher smirks. "Nice ass."

"Yours is way better." Jasyn teases, Closing the door to the master bedroom.

(Narrator) I feel like a third wheel over here.

"Our souls are linked. It's also kinda your job to watch the stuff around you." Christopher reassures.

(Narrator) That's true. You know, I'm surprised Nebulon hasn't been here more often.

"What do you mean?" Christopher asks.

(Nebulon) I wasn't sure how I could insert myself in here.

"The Void has been summoned!" Christopher says with dramatic flair.

(Nebulon) Since you two are talking now, I'm not sure when I can comment. Besides, I'm really busy anyway. I set aside a few moments to catch up on reading.

"I would prefer it if you visited me once in a while..As Nebulon though, not as your current character." Christopher says.

(Nebulon) I'll still pop in like this every now and again, but don't expect too much. If I'm mentioned I'll show at the very least.

(Narrator) So. Tell me. How was it?

Christopher smiles. "How was what?"

(Narrator) You know. Your first time!

"It hurt at first. Jasyn is huge. But he went slow and gentle, I could cry just thinking about it." Christopher says.

(Narrator) Happy tears though, right?

"Yeah. Happy tears. I never thought that I could feel so blissful. I finally understand what love means. It's not just attraction or a spiritual bond. It's also pain. The thought of losing that person being agonising is love itself. Love is a difficult thing to define. And it's the reason that it's so hard to find, that makes it feel so good to finally feel it all."

(Narrator) That was so beautiful. I think I'm going to cry.

"I'm serious. It was true love I felt in those moments. I just hope he feels the same way." Christopher says, his smile softening.

(Narrator) I'm sure he does. He's been infatuated with you since the day you two met.

"Thank you for that, Tari." Christopher says. A grateful smile on his face.

(Dime) Breakfast is being made, Sir.

"Right. Time to get up. Thank you, Dime." Christopher throws the blacket off him, stretching when he stands.

(Narrator) Damn, Jasyn was right. He does have a nice ass. It feels weird for me to say but it's undeniable. Looks like he squats for a living.

Christopher spends the next ten minutes getting into his formal attire and marches down the grand staircase of the manor. He looks at his hand on the bannister at the bottom of the stairs, sighing as he looks across the room.

Jasyn comes in brisky around the corner of one of the doorways, still in his underwear. "Ah there you are. Don't go into the dining room, Beerwolf isn't wearing ANYTHING. It's definitely something I don't ever want to see again either. There is tea and cookies in the office space for you while you wait." He says, charging up the stairs.

"After you fetch his clothes. Put your own clothes on. As much as I like to look at you, you're not a commoner anymore." Christopher giggles, walking into the living room.

"None of that's official yet!" Jasyn's distant voice calls out.

Jasyn walks in about twenty minutes later with two maids, a silver tray in their hands, Beerwolf is behind them slightly with a tray of his own. "Breakfast is done. Shall we eat it here?" Jasyn asks.

"No, dining room. I'll be there in a second." Christopher says, putting the cookie in his hand down and finishing the sentence he was writing.

Now in the Dining room, we see Jasyn sitting at the long table, the maid's and Beerwolf are behind him. Christopher sits himself at the head of the table. On Jasyn's direction, Beerwolf places his tray in front of Christopher and opens the covering.

"As you can see, I put Beerwolf in a suit. What do you think?" Jasyn asks.

Christopher looks at the Wolfman and picks apart the outfit. "Shoulders are too broad, cuffs are loose, pants are baggy, shirt is too small, tie isn't done right, shoes are too big. Suits need to be tailored. And our new butler needs a shower. After you've eaten, clean yourself up." he says, gesturing to the seat opposite Jasyn. "This will be the only time you'll be eating with us. Follow the maids every step. They'll make sure you're trained for the job."

The maids place the other two trays down and curtsey. "Thank you ladies. Dime should have put your pay in your living quarters by now. You can take the rest of the day off." They curtsey once more and float their way back to the kitchen.

"I know the suit doesn't fit on him, but at least he's wearing something now." Jasyn says, cutting into the pillowy pancakes.

"Haider took his measurements yesterday so we should be receiving some suits that will actually fit him soon. I guess I'll have to teach him how to wear it properly too." Christopher says, putting a piece of pancake into his mouth. "These are Hilda's pancakes. You used her recipe?"

"Is that ok? I know she meant a lot to you. I thought it would be nice for you to have her cooking again." Jasyn says.

"It's fine." He answers. Eating a little more. "You're making them again tomorrow." Christopher smirks. He looks at Beerwolf. "Why aren't you eating?"

"I apologise Master. But I'm a carnivore." Beerwolf replies.

"That's fine. Well bag that up and give it to one of the homeless later. And be sure to call me Master Newman. The last name is important with royal etiquette. Which means you call Jasyn, Master Laird." Christopher says.

"Of course, Master Newman. I apologise for my rudeness." Beerwolf says. "If you will excuse me. I'll go and wrap this up now." He bows, getting up from the table and taking the tray with him into the kitchen.

"Are you sure you're ok with this? I mean, having a slave?" Jasyn asks, leaning to him on the table.

"He was the one who instigated it. Besides, he's going to be doing the duties of a butler and treated the same as all the other staff. I don't see a difference." Christopher says.

"Aside from the fact you ain't paying him for the work he does." Jasyn argues.

"He lives here for free. None of the other staff live in the Manor. They all have homes to go back to when their shifts are over." Christopher says.

"So what are their quarters for then?" Jasyn verbates, repeating the question he heard Haider ask.

"Emergencies. And a private safe space for them. They need their rest, you know." Christopher says bluntly.

"Fair point. I still don't like it though." Jasyn says, cutting into his pancakes.

"Well you can keep not liking it while you finish your breakfast." Christopher says, wiping his mouth. He gets up from the table and plants a kiss on Jasyn's cheek.

"You're sexy when you're serious." Jasyn teases with a smirk.

"You must have a constant boner then huh?" Christopher says, firmly pulling his chin to look at him. He kisses Jasyn and pat's his cheek as he goes back to the office.

"That suit is so hot." Jasyn mumbles, eating more pancake while staring at Christopher's ass as he walks away.

Christopher spends the next two hours in the office, making notes on his research.

(Narrator) How long has it been since you started this passion project of yours.

Christopher spins on his chair to look at Tari. "Uh. If I recall correctly… about a year and three months. Why?"

(Narrator) I was just curious. I still don't have any idea what you're trying to accomplish here.

"It's a secret. But I'll give you a clue. Homunculi."

(Narrator) Artificial Bodies that spirits and stuff sometimes possess? Now that is interesting.

"It's also something fierce when it comes to research with it."

(Narrator) considering that it's you. It'll probably take someone else generations to complete this kind of thing.

"I'm not so sure." Christopher says. Putting his pencil down.

He places the page on top of a large pile and flips them round. "This research is done. However there is a glaring hole in my thesis that I can't wrap my head around." he takes the pile of paper over to another station and separates the pile into 5. "I thought this might happen. I was right with my initial thoughts on this subject." on this station is a supply of book making supplies and equipment. He glues the spine of the cover to the side of the pages, cleans away the excess and presses down firmly to make a rudimentary cover. He repeats the same process for the other four piles of paper.

"All I need now is to press the words onto the cover for the Title." he says, grabbing a heavy box of letter stamps, ink, roller, and an empty letter stamp holder. He arranges the letters to stamp, 'Homunculus research. By Christopher H. Newman.' with all the respective parts labelled.

He takes the books back over to his desk and writes a letter which he places in an envelope with his house crest on it. Christopher leans to his left to take a square bit of fabric which he uses to wrap the books in. He places the letter underneath the knot he made to seal the package.

(Narrator) What are you going to do with that?

"It's going to Viridiana. She has a firm grasp on this type of research. I hope for her input if she can help." Christopher says. "Dime, can you please deliver this to His Majesty and say it's for Viridiana?" The package disappears from his hands. "Thank you!"

(Dime) It's my pleasure, sir.

"Now we wait."
