Chapter 13 Part 3

"Alright, so how does it work?" Shavik asks. Slowly making his way down the steps.

"It's simple really. Since you requested that I give you access to my dimension. We don't need to use the spell as Dime can already link you. What you will need though is a gem'd accessory." Christopher says.

"That's easy enough." King Shavik says, taking off a diamond jewelled piercing from one of the joints in his wings. "Would this suffice?"

"Perfect. Now just hold it in the palm of your hand…Open the door please Dime." Christopher says.

Dime opens the door to the dimension and displays his text on the door.

(Dime) Afternoon, King Shavik.

"Curious." Marquis Bloomrush says.

"Afternoon, Dime." King Shavik replies.

(Dime) I am The God of Dimensions, or dime for short. Are you ready to be linked to The Realm of The Great Sir Christopher?

King Shavik produces a deep throaty chuckle. "Quite the title indeed, but considering how large your dimension is, this makes you a Lord."

(Dime) You are correct King Shavik. It makes Sir Christopher a Lord. However Christopher finds this title pompous for him to use.

"That sounds like him…I'm ready to be linked, Dime." King Shavik says.

(Dime) Fantastic. Please, place your remaining hand on the centre of the door and allow me to access your magic power. It should take five thousand units or so.

You get it, Shavik put his hand on the door. Dime starts the process of connecting him to the dimension and the piercing he chose. The door starts to glow, as well as the diamond on the accessory. It didn't take long for the door to disappear into the diamond. The door reopens in front of him a moment later.

(Dime) Acquisition of a new user, successful. You need only say my name and I can now talk to you as well as open the dimension to you. Only you can open the dimension from this item. Your voice and mana is required to bypass the identification process. So if you are not wearing the item, the door will not open.

King Shavik puts the item back on his wing and turns around to Christopher. "Do we have permission to enter?" he says, gesturing to everyone in the room.

"One moment. I need to perform an experiment." Christopher says. Christopher approaches the door and swings the door open. "Dime, can you open another door at Heather's location?"

(Dime) It is done sir.

"So far so good. Can you ask her to go through for me?" Christopher asks once more.

Both the Marquis watch closely as they see a stunning blond woman appear in the dimension. Christopher puts his arm through the opening and lets out a large sigh.

"Successful first experiment for long distant dimensional travel! Phew." Christopher says. "It's safe for everyone to walk through now. You may feel a small amount of disorientation." He continues to the group, walking through.

"Did he just use someone as a guinea pig for an experiment?" Marquis Bloomand asks, beads of sweat forming on his brow.

"I'm sure she agreed to it." Marquis Bloomrush answers.

(Narrator) I'm sick of how many times I'm writing Marquis so I'm just gonna drop that part. Not my fault if you confuse the two. Why the fuck are their last names so similar? I can't be bothered to describe them. Next time we see them I will. They're both Humanoid Dragon Newts in any measure.

Inside the dimension we see the two talking, Heather getting mad, and then she slaps him.

"Yeah, I don't think she agreed to it." Bloomand says.

"My Queen, after you." King Shavik says.

"You're just going to trust this?" His Ambassador says in disbelief.

"We've been in here before Daria, calm down." Her Majesty says, gracefully gliding through the door

"Go on through Bloomand, Bloomrush, I'll join you all momentarily." King Shavik says, turning to his steward. As the two nobles go through Shavik breaks it down for Daria. "Christopher is the cub of a trusted friend. There is no reason to suspect him of nefarious intentions or actions. You just need to trust me on this one." Shavik walks backwards through the door leaving Daria alone in the throne room.

He looks around. Not sure what to do with himself. "Guess I'll stay here."

(Narrator) Well I'm not waiting with him. Let's head on through.

(Narrator) I can't be bothered to describe what's happening inside. You already know what to expect…I hope.

We pick back up just after everyone has exited Christopher's dimension.

"I really don't like the fact that Heather isn't standing here with us. I feel dizzy." Bloomand says.

"It's not the easiest thing to get used to. I'll admit to that." Christopher says.

The gate to the throne room swings open rapidly, well, as rapid as a large heavy door can. Jasyn barges through as the two soldiers stationed at the door chase after him.

"Where is the love of my life?! I've waited long enough!" Jasyn shouts, looking for his beloved.

"Oh god." Christopher mutters, trying to hide behind Viridiana, whom was shuffling out of the way.

"Don't be shy. Say hi." Viridiana says, giving his position away.

Her Majesty grabs him and pushes him forward. Christopher looks back and gives her a glare.

"Christopher, my future husband! I've missed you." Jasyn says, sprinting towards him.

"I haven't." Christopher mutters.

Jasyn rushes into him, wrapping his arms around his waist, and picks him up. Christopher makes an uncomfortable frown as his overly affectionate possible boyfriend smashed his face into Christopher's, tightening their embrace.

"Put me down Jasyn." Christopher pleads.

Christopher straightens himself up after his admirer complies with his plea. His face flushes red, a clear attraction to him glaring on his expression.

Jasyn seems proud with himself, his confident personality telling him it's working, the smug fucker.

(Nebulon) Hay! Leave Jasyn alone. They're cute together!

(Narrator) I'm trying. I really am.

(Nebulon) I can feel your non-existent sobbing from the page.

"Before you two love birds leave to do whatever, Christopher, you deserve a reward for achieving this monumental discovery in Spatial Magic Research. Plus a bonus for doing it so fast. How much would you say Christopher should receive for compensation?" King Shavik says.

"Twenty platinum sounds about right. I am looking forward to working out a deal with you sometime soon Sir Christopher." Bloomrush says.

"Same here, for both the things." Bloomand continues.

"I think that's fair." The King's steward says.

King Shavik glances back at his wife, and gestures her forward. Queen viridiana approaches Christopher and says, "Hold out your hands dear."

Christopher transitions out of his trance caused from Jasyn to his usual confidence, likely forgetting he exists for a moment, and holds out his hands as instructed. He watches in awe as five small bags filled with Platinum coins are given to him.

"I've given an extra five platinum for the ring you were so generous to give my husband. It will prove to be very valuable, I'm sure." Queen Viridiana says, then walks back to the King's side.

Christopher turns around with a huge smile on his face, unconsciously wanting Jasyn's affection and praise. Jasyn, to Christophers surprise, is falling to the ground, the shock from hearing the reward making all the blood rush to his head.

"By the gods, are you ok?" Christopher asks, concerned for Jasyn. Christopher takes in a deep sigh and looks back. "I don't think I can carry him all the way over to my estate."

"That's quite alright. Marquis Bloomand, escort Christopher and Jasyn back to his property." King Shavik commands.

"*sigh* Fine, let's get this over with." Bloomand says, sauntering over to Jasyn's limp body.

Maranus' nobles are not linked to any one lineage, they are specifically chosen by the current King or Queen based on their strength. All of King Shavik's court are powerful in one way or another, making them a formidable ally, or a fearsome foe. The nobles act more like loyal military commander's, than the typical nobles known from Stocaea. They each watch over a portion of the nation, keeping it safe from any threat's.

Marquis Bloomand hoists Jasyn onto his shoulder and gives Christopher a soft bow as he speaks. "It will be my pleasure to keep you safe for the time being."

"Thank you Marquis. You're very kind." Christopher replies as Dime puts Christopher's platinum in the dimension for safe keeping.

"Just doing my job. And Call me Beauregard. Or Beau." Bloomand says.

(Narrator) Beauregard Bloomand? What kind of long ass bullshit is this?!

"Yeah, Beau it is. I'm not going to remember Beauregard." Christopher chuckles.

"Haha, fair enough." Beau responds.

(Narrator) I'm not fucking writing it either.
