Chapter 12 Part 2

"It is rather uncanny in person, isn't it." Christopher adds.

"Here it comes!" Jasyn shouts, eyeing the Ghast making its charge.

Jasyn matches the Undead's pace, using his Mithril blade to deflect and guard its swift strikes. Christopher continues to nurse his injury as Jasyn uses the sole of his heavily armoured boot to send the Ghast flying backwards. Using this bought time, Jasyn enchants his blade with Holy Magic. It's a basic Holy Cleansing Spell called Turn Undead. It's not usually powerful enough to extinguish a Ghast.

The cast irks uncertainty within the Ghast as it takes a few steps back. Jasyn takes the chance to get in a strike and leaps into the air, sword extended far above his head. Knowing that Jasyn can't change directions mid air, the Ghast attempts to charge Christopher. Jill blocks its path, Striking it with her sword. The tip of the blade pierces its stretched skin, burning it as her enchantment takes effect. Jasyn curses himself as he and his greatsword make contact with the ground.

"Enjoy the Holy element you disgusting wretch!" Jill twists her blade, digging it deeper.

The Ghast howls. Its scream alerts a few dozen zombies to them. "There was mana infused in that howl! I think it was a Frenzy spell!" Christopher shouts.

Scum and blood bleed from the Ghasts mouth as it lashes out at Jill in a blind fury. She is dodging the Ghast's claws for now. As if that wasn't enough the nearby Undead also seem to be affected by Frenzy. A Ghast, aided by Twenty-four raging zombies, quite a handful.

"Damn it!" Christopher curses. He holds up his injured arm whilst continuing to cure his blood. Pain courses through his arm as he uses it to cast. "Flame Wall!" He shouts.

A wall of intense flames erects itself around him and the battle with the Ghast. Five Zombies instantly turn to ash as they charge the wall. The others have yet to make it to become incinerated.

"I didn't have time to do that efficiently. I'll have to stop supplying mana to the wall in 10 seconds. Most of them may still be able to get through. So end this quickly if you can." Christopher winces, the muscles in his left arm throbbing as he forces mana through it.

Jasyn swivels to put himself in the direction of the Ghast and Jill. "Send it this way! I'll end this." The holy spell on his greatsword glows brighter until the ornamental gold is lost to its radiance.

Jill wastes no time to lead the Ghast towards the man. Jasyn swings his blade at Jill and the Ghast, a streak of white paints the air in its arch. Jill, still running at full speed towards him, slides between his legs to evade the incoming swing of Jasyn's enormous greatsword.

The swing only ends up nicking the Ghasts neck as it evades the majority of the attack, immediately lunging to counter attack. Jasyn dodges out the way and Jill leaps forward, jabbing it in the eye. Its flesh burns under the enchantment and the flame in its socket whimpers and petters before going out. The Ghast screeches once more, this time only from pure agony against the enchantment.

It recoils and its limbs flail, unable to process what happened. Jasyn takes another great swing at its midsection, his spell has weakened significantly. He used everything he had in his previous swing, and the cast only has the remnants of what was.

As soon as the heavy blade makes contact, it sends the Ghast flying backwards, far enough for its left leg to get burnt up against Christopher's flame wall. "I guess luck is on our side." Jasyn mutters.

(Narrator) It's strange. Why is this Undead so powerful? I mean, I know it's a high class Undead, but it doesn't make any sense.

"I'm not sure I understand your meaning, Tari." Christopher replies, grimacing through the pain from his arm.

(Narrator) With how little Jasyn is doing against it, it's on par with him.

"Ralgormath you mean." Christopher ponders the thought. "Or Ralgormath was just weak."

(Narrator) How did you come to that conclusion!?

Christopher comes to his decision. "It's true he said he was a High Rank Demon. But in the same sentence, he mentioned a regiment. He was an insect by Demon standards. Probably inflating his ego to make him sound better."

(Narrator) You've got to be joking. So all that gravatas for someone 'weak'? Do you have any idea how hard it was to dramatise that fight!? I was looking back at it and I kept using the same words. I feel so ashamed. *Sob Sob*

"Pay attention, Tari. One of its legs has been incinerated by my flames. It's crawling my way." Christopher narrates.

(Narrator) This is my job! *Pouts* I'm not so easily replaced!... Ahem!

As Christopher so rudely said, the Ghast scrambles towards him, clawing its way along the ground knowing it cannot stand. Jasyn appears to the side of it as fast as the wind, sword raised above his head ready to chop its head off. The blade comes crashing into it, the ground beneath it collapses slightly under the force. However not a scratch was left behind. Instead he pins it down, punching the back of its head with extreme force.

A small plume of smoke rises from its skull as Jasyn decides to give up, he grabs one of its arms putting it in a hold. "If I can't make you bleed, I'm sure as hell gonna make sure you ain't going anywhere, filth."

Jasyn outstretches its arm, its shoulder makes a sickening pop as it dislocates. All the cartilage disintegrates as he then grinds the bones together making damn sure that arm was no longer functional. The entire time the Ghasts' remaining eye fixates on Christopher.

A wave of unease washes over him. A sudden spike in pain causes his flame wall to fail earlier than expected. About 14 burning corpses are strewn about its perimeter.

"Shit…" Christopher curses. He shakes his arm. "I think I neutralised the poison. But why did my arm hurt so much?"

"You're still bleeding, Your Majesty." Jill says, jaunting to his side.

"Right, I'll heal that now." Christopher says. He casts his spell, simply waving his arm over the wound. The missing tissue grows back and the bleeding stops as the skin repairs fully.

Christopher clenches and unclenches his fist a few times before walking up to the Ghast. "This things' stare is unnerving me. I'll take care of it. Jill, kill the last of the agro Zombies for me." Jill makes the salute and charges onward with the wind.

Christopher crouches in front of the Ghast, staring it in the face. "You may be a tough lil guy, but you're fairly susceptible to Fire and Holy Magic. Don't worry. I'll make sure you suffer in agony before I kill you." A smile laced with malice creeps its way onto him as he walks to its side.

Jasyn watches on in horror at Christopher's look in his eyes. "Are you Sephicroth? Cuz the Christopher I know would never have said such a thing. And that look on your face, stop it."

"*Tut* You're no fun Jasyn hun. Let me get my moment of pleasure once in a while." Sephicroth pouts.

"You have no right to call me that," Jasyn says with a scowl. "You are not my fiance."

Sephicroth's pout is replaced with a look of pure disappointment, he huffs with annoyance. "How stupid can you be? I am the literal manifestation of all of his worst qualities. I'm more Christopher than even Christopher himself." He sounds exasperated.

"Did you even get permission to take over his body like that? I can't believe you!" Jasyn sasses.

"For your information, we talk all the damn time. It's not like we live in the same body 24/7 or anything. Get a grip of your fragile masculinity already. Are you being a dick because you can't even kill a weak Ghast like this?" Sephicroth argues.

He turns the remaining Ghasts' legs into nothing but blood splatter. It happens so suddenly that the blood flies in all directions. Some of it even halts mid air as it all gets Consume(d) by his spell.

With the combination of suddenly being covered in Ghast blood and the thorough verbal onslaught directed at him, Jasyn looks at Sephicroth in silence. "Low blow man." he says. Standing up from pinning the Ghast, he stomps on its neck. He firmly grasps the wrist of the arm he shattered and pulls it with all his might, resulting in it coming clean off. He tosses it at Sephicroth who uses Consume to liquify and absorb it.

"Cheers, Sugarloaf. Turns out you ARE useful." Sephicroth mocks.

He gets on a knee, grabbing what's left of the Ghasts leg. He balls up his fist, winding up a punch. I-I'm not sure how I'm going to possibly describe this. He uh- kind of drives his entire arm through the exposed flesh. I have no idea what he hopes to find but without warning he pulls Jasyn's arm, causing him to fall over and snogs him. Tongue and all. Jasyn pulls away with disgust. He's lucky that he has all that platemail on because he also has a boner.

(Narrator) Seriously man, what the fuck did I just witness?

"Augh! What the fuck is wrong with you?!" Jasyn yells.

"Oh cmon, you know you liked it." Sephicroth smirks with mirth.

"Tsk, you know nothing about me." Jasyn says, crushing the Ghasts' last remaining hand beneath his boot.

The Ghast begins to howl, finally realising its in pain. But it is cut off as its throat becomes hollow in an instant. "Got it. Won't be hearing any more screeches from you buddy boy!" Sephicroth cackles. "And to answer your retort, I know just as much about you as Christopher does. Even all those fancy positions you put him in during your intimate times." He giggles under his breath with a smile so amused it can be mistaken for animosity.

"Well that was a horrific thing to come back to." Jill says, staring directly at Sephicroth. "You must be the ever esteemed Sephicroth. So this is what it looks like when you use His Majesty's body."

She continues inspecting him for a few more seconds until blood splatters her face when Sephicroth pulls his arm out of the 'still alive torso with a head' and offers it to her to shake his hand. "Pleasure to finally talk to you up close, Jill."
