Chapter 10 Part 1

"That's it for the side matches everyone! Up next, Heather versus Heddwyn! A battle between father and daughter! Let's find out which one of these astounding fighters will win the 10 platinum grand prize! Will it be Heather and her army of backup fighters? Or will it be the stealthy and strategic Heddwyn!" the MC says. King Shavik rises out of his seat before the match has even begun, possibly expecting this fight to be something to remember.

King Shavik gestures to his partner to join him, Her Royal Highness Queen Viridiana. HM the Queen Viridiana Gupta of the Maranus Isles, glides out of her seat, her aqua green horns shifting shades every so often. As light as cyan, and as dark as moss green. Her hair is reminiscent of thin silky vines, shiny and lines with delicate lilies of all colours. Queen Viridiana's eyes are a clear ocean blue.

Her dress is a white sateen woven with silver. Half way down the dress the silver fades in, becoming bolder at the heel, extenuating the colour in her eyes. The dress is tight, pronouncing all of her 'features' with a sinch. It loosens at her thighs and flares out. The sateen dress is held up with a bib, leaving the elbows exposed. She stretches out her wings slightly before resting them once again. Queen Viridiana adorns a subtle and delicate silver tiara fitted with ruby, blue emerald and clear diamonds.

She joins her King's side and lays her cheek on his shoulder. HM the King Shavik Gupta of the Maranus Highlands drapes his arm over her shoulder and kisses her forehead, then lays his own head atop hers.

"Naw, that's adorable." Heather squeals, clasping her hands together.

"Focus Heather, you can't be distracted before our match has even started." Heddwyn exclaims.

"*cough* Yeah, right." Heather takes out Simon and Willow from her pouch and grows their size. Making her look foreboding as FUCK!

(Narrator) I can't stress this enough how bad ass this looks. And she does this every time she fights!

"I've never been more terrified to fight someone in my life." Heddwyn says.

"I'm not done yet!" Heather says, throwing a fistful of seeds behind her. "Do you remember this father?" She says as a humongous sunflower grows between Willow and Simon.

"Flower Cannon." Heddwyn mutters. He gives a worried look to His Majesty. King Shavik takes this as a sign and strengthens the defences, even stretching it over the walls of the battlefield.

...

"Let the final bout of the Dragon festival, begin!" The MC shouts.

"FIRE!" Heather shouts.

The sunflower fires a beam of highly concentrated light at Heddwyn, which he uses a speed buff spell to dodge. But not unscathed. The beam of light caught his left arm, all the way up to the shoulder. Heddwyn's arm is completely burned from the intense light of this attack. The beam hit the ground and disintegrated all of the dirt in its way, leaving a massive hole tunnelling through the floor in a straight line, maybe a few kilometres of tunnel.

"Oops. too much. Let's set you to 1%. I think 20% was too much." Heather says.

"20%! That was 20 fucking percent! What the fuck is this bullshit!" Beluf says. He slouches slightly in his seat. "I'm kinda glad I didn't make it to the finals."

"She can make Flower Cannon much larger too. This was Heather thinking this wouldn't do much." Christopher says. Haider nods in agreement.

"I'm sorry. What the fuck did you just say?" Relov exclaims. I'm sure I can see his brain melting right now. "She's gonna give the gods a run for their money one day. I honestly can't watch this anymore. I might die from asphyxiation."

Heddwyn heals his arm with a holy grade health potion, smashing the empty bottle on the ground.

"This feels like when I fought a demon lord in the demon god's territory. Fucking terrifying...cmon Heddwyn, get a grip." He shakes the fear out of his arms and erases his presence.

"Wide range counter!" Heather yells, bringing Heddwyn back.

However, Heddwyn got pretty close in the single second he was gone from perceptive reality. Willow fires an onslaught of high speed ironwood corns at the Nekojin while Simon unravels himself and reforms above heather. Heddwyn backs off and they stop attacking.

"So they're here for defence? Good to know. Strong attacks and an impeccable defence. How am I gonna do this?" Heddwyn mutters to himself. "Above? Meh, always worth a try."

Heddwyn reinforces and strengthens his legs, leaping high into the air. Heather aims Flower Cannon at him and fires. Heddwyn narrowly dodges the beam of light with a high level wind spell. The beam tears a hole in King shavik's barrier. He quickly repairs it and does his best to reinforce it further with Queen Viridiana's assistance.

Heather fires another beam in quick succession, causing the sunflower to start smoking. "Shit. I didn't know it needed a cooldown!"

After moving out of the way from the second beam, Heddwyn launches himself down towards Heather, grabbing his spear.

"Willow!" Heather yells.

The wooden dragon unveils every single one of its corns and fires them all, making almost a wall of ironwood corns, blistering towards Heddwyn. One of the corns hit him in the arm, dislocating his shoulder. With his remaining arm, he slaps a parchment onto his abdomen and says, "Warp." which teleports him back to where he started in this match.

"I'm not holding anything back father. Because if I don't, I know I'll lose." Heather pronounces.

"I can see that. I honestly have no idea how I'm going to get close to you with Willow and Simon in the way." Heddwyn claps his hands together, slowly separating them as arks of lightning grow from his fingertips and palms. "So I think I'm going to need to get rid of them. Dragon Lightning!" He aims the attack towards the vulnerable Soulust.

"Simon! Willow! Shrink!" Heather gets in front of the two and fires her beam at the incoming spell, countering the high density electrical current with overwhelming light...Or so it seemed. Because Heather tried to stop the lightning, it altered its course, travelling along the beam and completely disintegrating Flower Cannon.

"Don't you ever target my babies ever again. If you do, I swear to god I'll disown you as a father." Heather says, stomping towards him.

Heddwyn slowly backs up as his daughter thumps towards him. "I'm sorry, ok? I swear I won't target them again."

"you fucking better, because my cuties mean more to me than anything else." Heather says, getting into Heddwyn's face.

"I swear I won't, ok? Please j-just dont hurt me." Heddwyn says, his back against the wall of the battleground, Heather scolding him out.

Heather takes a deep breath and says, "You're good. Stop crapping yourself." Heather backs off and Simon and Willow crawl back into their home on Heather's pouch belt. "Let's get back to it, you still haven't hit me yet. I'm winning."

Heddwyn pops his shoulder back into its socket and takes his stance. Heather takes the same stance.

"Let's see if you've gotten any better at close combat. But first, what's that?" Heddwyn asks, noticing an error in her stance, presuming something is bothering her.

"Of course now you notice." Heather backs out of her stance and turns around. She lowers the neckline of her dress to show that the skin on her right shoulder is a dark purple.

"Oh my god, what is that? Poison? No, you would've made an antidote, tell me what that is." Heddwyn says, worried for his Cubs health.

"It's nothing, really. I'm fine."

"It's totally something. Tell me Heather Longstaff!"

"I swear to you I'm ok!" Seeing the stern look her father is giving her, Heather caves. "Ugh, fine. When we first got into Maranus, we were attacked by a skeletal dragon."

"A skeletal dragon? Why didn't anyone tell me?!"

"Will you let me finish? By the gods! What I was going to say, before you rudely interrupted me. Was that I and Christopher saw this little girl hidden in the bushes near us as it was about to breathe some purple stuff at us. So I ran to protect them. I tried to block as much as I could from getting through with a shell of vines but some leaked through."

"By the mother, Heather! That's a curse! You need to get that off you, now!" Heddwyn yells. He digs out a white potion from his bag. "Turn around. This should dispel it."

Heather turns back round and Heddwyn pours the contents of the bottle over the curse.

Heather's skin turns back to normal and the purple mist rises and congregates in the air.

A sinister aura falls over the colosseum and an evil laughter fills the air. The mist falls onto several parts of the battlefield forming into formless parts, slowly merging together in the centre to the arena. "Hahahahaha! You won't get rid of me that easily, Heddwyn Givar Longstaff. I made you a promise, and I intend to keep it. I've already taken care of that troublesome nun. It's only a matter of time before I kill everyone You've ever loved."

"Sheogorath. I had a feeling you're the one that infected Hilda with Tuberculosis. Your one sick son of a bitch, you know that?" Heddwyn exclaims, Holding Heather tight.

A warp portal opens in front of them and Christopher walks through. "Binding! Demon Prison! Chains Of Hell." he yells, casting three high level binding spells. So it was you? You're the son of a bitch that did this to me?!"

"Ah, Christopher Newman. One of my finest works. But all I did was place the seed." Sheogorath says.

"Stay back little one. He's a demon lord! I'll take care of this." Viridiana says. Pushing Christopher behind her.

"Yes, and the demon god's right hand. Her devoted servant. She wants to see you Christopher. If you join her, she promises to make you into the most powerful demon of all time." Sheogorath says.

"Shut it filth. He will do no such thing." Viridiana snaps.

"Spicy. I like a wife with a little bite to her bark. I think you'll fit right in with the other's." The demon lord creepily says.

"Not if I have anything to do with it." King Shavik says, appearing next to his fabled wife.
