Ezekiel widened his eyes in shock. He tilted his head and looked at the long-haired man from head to toe. He remembered the blood on Maro's clothes back in the palace when the rebels took Ely. They were the blood of the people he spent his time with at the training grounds. How could he accept the ruthless man as his father?
Just like His Majesty King Adam, the man's eyes were gray, but his expression was cold. He couldn't be his father. No way!
"I… don't have such a cruel father!" Ezekiel yelled as he balled his fists.
"Kiel, he's not cruel, okay? He's just… misunderstood."
Misunderstood? Really, after seeing him slash the throat of the palace guards? Ezekiel frowned. What did the rebel guy do to her mother? Was she brainwashed or something?
Ezekiel touched the golden locket necklace which had Ely and Adam's picture. "But Mama… in this necklace-"
"Yes, that's Adam, but… uhh… How should I explain it to you."
