Mary took great care to loosen the ropes that bound Rocco before giving him a once over, tears swimming in her eyes. After a moment or two, Rocco finally caught her wrists gently and held her still.
“Relax, kiddo.” He chided sweetly. “Beside my face looking like 31 flavors of what the fuck, I’m fine.” He nodded slightly over to Kimiko and her new prisoner. “Go handle your business.”
Mary took a breath or two and gathered herself before joining Kimiko.
“Well, well, well,” Kimiko mused as she circled the man, “what should we do with this one?”
“I mean, he’s the enemy and there’s only one thing we do with enemies.” Mary shrugged. “Although, I will commend him for how he didn’t try to escape.” Her attention turned to Malcolm. “What’s your angle, kid? You could’ve easily fought back or even ran to get backup. So, talk!”
