Sounds of Rainbow

Prior discovered Made as his little sun of promised island, Henry was really wretched and lonely. But after he found both Made and then Xander in the end. Henry's long and excruciating struggle for establish his life was considered final for its first phase.

Xander's gentle affection on Henry miraculously healed the persisting wound of his heart which was imbued by Henry's first romance thug. Xander didn't matter with that guy, though he supported Henry morally and convinced Henry if that's just a worthless and petty mistake that should be forgotten forever.

Henry did never feel that relieving prior and he was grateful to both Made and Xander. It was then told by Xander if he was also a Buddhist since he was at Aussie and before he moved to Bali island. Henry remembered Made's admonition prior and since then, Henry gradually changed his mind to re-embrace his lost faith together with Xander.

At one weekend day after the rain, they spent their leisure time together and just both of them alone at remoted paddy fields before Ubud and the place was really undisturbed. Xander then told Henry his story about listening to the sounds of rainbow.

Coincidentally that was a rainbow after the rain and it was raining prior they reached the place through Xander's motorbike. Henry just laughed prior he listened to Xander's story. But Henry realized what the meaning of Xander's story prior and the rainbow he saw at the sky after the rain. It was a very touching heart metaphor which Henry realized soon as they caressed each others affectionally.

Henry then realized if gay peoples are alongside with the queers as they share the same rainbow pride flag and under the LGBT umbrella term. But it was seemed disconnected with Xander's sounds of rainbow story. They left the paddy field after enjoyed the rainbow.

From there they went to bought lot of groceries from traditional groceries market at Denpasar city. Xander decided to cook the dinner at his house and Henry was asked to join him in the kitchen and also have dinner with him. Surely Xander was totally differed from any bad images Henry had ever told prior. Henry believed what Made told him in his vision.

But what's the sounds of rainbow actually? Henry didn't get it still and he kept discovering the meaning. But Henry tried to recall every good moments he'd ever recorded from his prior hardships, separated from the horrible ones and before he found both of his cherished good peoples.

Henry then remembered plenty of beautiful things he'd ever watched alone prior and they relieved a bit of Henry's sorrows. Henry listened to the beautiful gamelan repertoires every time Made took him visiting his communal pavilion or Banjar to join his gamelan ensemble troupe. Even watched Balinese dances show for free because of Made's privilege shared to him.

Post Henry discovered Made, his hardships were lifted gradually. Even if Henry can't adopt the different cultures from Made, but Made did never mind it. At least Henry can see the beautiful and colorful rainbow from every finest and real dignified Balinese arts and cultures, separated from the fake and perverted peoples which Henry saw at Kuta Beach.

Once Henry was given chance by Made's to see his utmost beautiful sacred idols creation in the working atelier. Made was given task prior from a Buddhist temple to create a pair of dragon kings idols or Pratima in traditional Balinese aesthetic, but the dragon king deities were from Buddhist pantheon and Made accepted it.

Once finished, a pair of ineffably beautiful and precious sacred idols or pratima precisely depicting pair of dragon kings deities in traditional Balinese art, but the identity was according to Buddhist pantheon were about to be consecrated and installed upon the altar in the temple.

Henry was asked to join the consecration ritual at the temple along with Made and definitely Made was much praised by the temple's monks and abbot, also the temple's devotees. The paired dragon kings statues flanked the main idol of Buddhist utmost beloved deity, the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva of whom the deity's ineffably beautiful and magnificent statue was definitely Chinese.

But such a great tolerance in the temple made a beautiful and harmonious impression against the monks and the devotees, even for Made himself even as a Balinese Hindu. Maybe that's an example of the sounds of rainbow, Henry thought about it after he realized the meaning of the event.

Henry did never expect before if he will get Xander in the end. Henry was skeptical and didn't trust in anyone, unless with his own family and his closest friends, including Made. Henry often thought about racial issue while he got Xander as a definitely white people guy.

Henry wanted to know Xander's motive for choosing Henry when everyone, especially for Xander knew if Henry was definitely Chinese and Chinese peoples aren't romantic as Henry admitted since first. But Xander wasn't offended and he began to explain anything Henry wanted to know prior.

Xander explained his prior affairs with many of white people guys like him prior. But however those guys chose to betray him in the end and that made Xander very disheartened. Once when he was still at Aussie, he tried to date a Chinese guy like Henry, but that Chinese guy's very pedantic and homophobic family opposed Xander and threatened Xander with unpleasant threats.

Again that blew Xander's mental hard and the Chinese guy finally betrayed Xander by revealed his identity as a bi. That made a straightforward conclusion if that scoundrel Chinese guy just used up Xander as his toy, while he preferred to choose his straight side as he got married with a regular girl who was besotted already to him by his family as to cover up his hidden gay tendency.

That's a stern reason for Xander to eternally hate the bi guys inexorably, though he didn't blame on the racism reason. Then in the end he found Henry as his boyfriend and Xander had already apprehended Henry ever since first eyes. Unlike that prior Chinese ex who was bi, Henry was purely gay and was also desperated like him.

On that day when Henry uttered his statement for being a dutiful and caring couple against Xander, that also restored Xander's heart break and it's a clear reason why Xander only expressed his gracious feeling with kissing Henry intimately. Few things in life are so ineffable and wordless, just like how to describe the sounds of rainbow which was simply indescribable.

Henry was innocent as everyone knew him prior, including Xander. Henry didn't have any special motive to choose Xander, though Henry admitted if Xander's odd eyes appearance was considered as the utmost rarely beautiful thing Henry can't describe it with simply words. It's like Henry found a chunk of very rare diamond stone with accidentally and unintentionally.

It was another weekend and Henry joined Xander in his house's kitchen to prepare a big lunch meal as Xander preferred to cook by himself in the house than go to any restaurants. Xander prepared a special salad dish of which made out of various chopped vegetables and each colors of the chopped vegetables were arranged in rainbow colors order on a large platter. Xander prepared his special homemade mayonnaise sauce and surely that tasted excellent.

Henry believed Xander's skill as a professional chef and thus Xander prepared the lunch meal with such lavish and attractive look, besides of great nutrition for each dishes. They have had their lavish lunch in the house and that's nothing more gracious for Henry to cherish Xander's affection on him.
