"From what I can see, you have made quite a mess of the ancient site, my king. What are these broken crystals? Did you have a nervous breakdown or something, dear?" said the witch, whose red hair had stained the Crystal Tower's Fountain of Innocence with blood.
“I'm angry enough that you kept me waiting, Anaxarete. You don't want to make me angry anymore if you want," Ru said sarcastically.
“Keeping you waiting? I could go somewhere but didn't come when you called. Oh, I couldn't help but smile, Ru," Anaxarete chuckled. And winked, “Sorry, King Ru.”
“Maybe there will be a surprise and you can move around freely now,” Ru said with a sly smile.
"Oh, what a cruel twist of fate! You're finally going to set me free. But I've become accustomed to living at the bottom of wells." Anaxarete said, gently removing a lock of hair from her face and brushing it with her nails.
“If I were you, I would take the opportunity presented to me instead of fooling around,” Ru said and turned his head, avoiding his gaze from the water.
"Honey, where did your sense of humor go? I'm afraid you've become a bit dull. Probably from loneliness,” Anaxarete said and touched up her lipstick. Seeing the king was quiet, she licked her lips and spoke again. "You're so aggressive because you haven't made love for a long time."
Ru turned his face towards the bloody water, visibly angry. “Cut it out, witch! Do you know how many of my daughters I sacrificed to communicate with you?"
"Honey, you seem to love your daughters and I appreciate your sacrifice. But when I cry, my mascara flows, ha-ha," Anaxarete said with a laugh.
Ru slammed his fist on the marble. “I’m going to kill you! If I get out of here, you'll see..."
“Hey, slow down kid!” said Anaxarete in a strong and deep voice. It was as if she were shooting arrows out of her eyes. “You forget that you owe your life to me, and you still need me. But I don't trust you at all anymore."
"Are you done, babe?" Ru asked with sarcasm.
"Babe? Oh, I just couldn't find it in me to laugh." Anaxarete's smile vanished from her face. The bloody waters of the fountain fluttered with the wind arising from her thick hair. "You're still a child to me, and you'll always be one."
Ru gave her a look that said he wasn't impressed. "Oh, do you think I'm hitting on you, witch?"
"If I wanted, I could seduce you ten times, but I didn't," Anaxarete said, lighting a cigarette. "Come on, ask me why."
“Because of your stupidity,” Ru said, grinning.
"You're right," Anaxarete said, matching his grin. Then she lit up a cigarette and exhaled. "So, what do you want from me?"
"I want you to resurrect my last clone on Planet Earth," Ru said without hesitation.
"What? Your clone? Ah Ru, what are you up to?" said Anaxarete, blowing out more smoke.
“I want to get out of this damn prison. That I even took the risk of releasing you just for that reason," Ru said, raising an eyebrow.
“Aw, poor thing!” Anaxarete said and dipped her cigarette into the water of the well so that it was right on Ru's reflection's nose and extinguished it. “The truth is, I’m already free. So you're not great at keeping your enemies imprisoned.”
Ru's eyes and face both turned red, and smoke was coming out of his nose.
“Calm down, boy. I'm here and I'm listening to you, right?" Anaxarete said. She put her hand on her cheek and smiled. "Do you still want my help?"
“Yes, I want to,” Ru said firmly, turning his head to avoid the water.
“Then tell me one reason why I should help you,” Anaxarete said, her eyes twinkling as she bent down and let her hair fall into the water.
"For example, I can forgive you," Ru said, he dipped his finger into the water and pretended to caress Anaxarete's hair.
“Oh, sweetie! Forgive me, please. Just what I need, ha-ha,” Anaxarete laughed, but she didn't back down.
“Maybe if I forgive you, the heart will forgive you too,” Ru said, twisting her hair around his finger.
"Oh, come to me with these," Anaxarete said with her usual lust. “You know, I'm a big fan of the heart in your chest.”
Ru removed his finger from Anaxarete's hair and took a deep breath. Dealing with this witch was getting on his nerves as usual, but he had no choice. He turned his face back to the water and spoke in a serious tone.
"I'll give you a piece of the heart if you bring my clone back to life and keep him safe from the demons until he joins the apocalypse game."
A glint appeared in Anaxarete's eyes. “Ah Ru, you speak poetry. Why not, why shouldn't I? I will protect him the same way I protected you in the past."
"You'll sell him to the genies too," Ru muttered.
Anaxarete coughed and blew the smoke into the water. “Oh, great! Is this our topic again? What a djinn! The man has been shattered into atoms. Are you still there?"
Ru was looking absently at the waves formed on the surface. He didn't even realize he was clenching his teeth. Despite the sound of the lighter coming from Anaxarete, he couldn't concentrate. He muttered absently, “I can't be sure. He is the most powerful wizard who ever lived.”
"He was the most powerful wizard who ever lived," said Anaxarete, still having trouble getting the lighter to work.
"I can breathe fire if you'd like," Ru said with a grin.
“Oh, may the devil bless you. Hellfire is my favorite, you know,” said Anaxarete, lighting a cigarette without any tools. After a deep sigh, she fixed her gaze on Ru: "Let me get the location of the dead clone."
"Right away!" Ru said, perking up his pointy ears.
