Chapter 15

(AN: Originally the X778 Annual Meeting of Guild Master was supposed to be the year where the rivalry between Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord was reignited. However, I'll just the year of the event shift up to X782. Nothing much changed but just an FYI. Also, the beginning of the main plot is delayed... again... sorry!!!)

Makarov POV

Itachi would be gone for most of the time, off on high-level quests outside of Fiore.

I had managed to somehow ask Itachi to test the strange, reclusive man known as Mystogan with the five staves that seemed to assist him in magical combat. The man asked to join Fairy Tail as a mage.

He seemed worthy of an S-Class Mage and Itachi had those powerful eyes dubbed as the "Sharingan of Itachi" that seemed to have the ability to see through anything and everything.

I myself felt that the strange man covered in bandages had no ill intent toward the guild and if Itachi decided so as well, then Mystogan would be promoted to an S-Class Mage.

I had told Itachi that I requested his presence for the upcoming Annual Meeting of Guild Masters after his exam for Mystogan.

The next day, I sat in my office, finishing off documents related to Fairy Tail's members that were destructive on quests.

As I wrote, I suddenly felt a presence appear within my office.

Looking up, I saw Itachi's stoic face as he walked forward.

His eyes were now black. He had deactivated his magical eyes.

Seeing him, I couldn't help but smile in jester.

"We've met twice within 48 hours. I'd say that's a record."

Itachi smiled in response and simply sat down on the chair in front of my desk.

It was time to get down to business. I cleared my throat before speaking.

"Itachi, as a candidate to be a Wizard Saint and someone that has been a member of Fairy Tail for over a decade, completing high-level jobs one after another, you could be considered a vice-master of Fairy Tail and I'd for you to come along with me to the Annual Meeting of Guild Masters...

Normally, Guildarts would be the one going along with me, but he has embarked on a century-long quest last year."

He looked at me for a moment, unfazed about the absence of Fairy Tail's strongest member, and nodded to go with, much to my surprise.

"Of course Master. I'll come along."

Third Person POV

Clover town is a rather small town situated in a mountainous area, surrounded by forests. It is best known for the fact that it is the place where Masters of Legal Guilds are gathered to discuss their guilds.

Over the horizon, Itachi and Makarov can be seen heading towards the Guild Master's Building.

The building resembled a castle with its four towers on all corners of the square foundation it was built on.

The main parts of the building were light brown in color and each tower had a pyramid roof layout.

To the west of the tower was a river across which lies a wooden bridge.

Itachi and Makarov walked across the bridge and headed inside the building.

Itachi POV

Jose Porla is a tall, slim man with long, straight, dark red hair reaching down to his shoulders and a thin mustache. He has a long and sharp face, vaguely pointed ears, prominent eyelashes, and dark-colored lips.

His attire bore a resemblance to the fictional depictions of both a sorcerer and a jester, consisting of a flamboyant coat with a high collar that sported a jagged mantle and jagged lower edges.

The Guild Masters' Annual Meeting mostly consisted of Makarov's subtle bragging of Fairy Tail's recent accomplishments.

This incited anger within Jose. And just like in canon, he had insult Fairy Tail and that is when Makarov and him clash.

However this time, I would be the one to fight him, thereby cementing my title as a Wizard Saint.
