8 The Green Monster

Things were working out well with the couple, although it all happened so fast, she had no complains - he was her first after all.

On the other hand, Maverick is still having problems with a crazy stalking ex of his. He doesn't want Queshia to ever know of this just yet. This obsessed girl even followed them to the places they go for theirs dates or hangouts, like going to a worship place where Maverick introduced Queshia to. She watched them from not so faraway, since Maverick still noticed her, or maybe she also just wanted to be noticed by him.

Queshia trusted him too much to even notice his words and actions just to let her avoid his crazy ex, like going to the comfort room once in a while to warn his ex of coming near them and such. He didn't trust on Queshia's feelings towards him that much yet to involve her with this said crazy ex of his. But what he didn't know is that Queshia could handle those kind of issues, let alone a skimpy girl! She have knocked out a man before, what could a skimpy girl do to her? But nonetheless, she never knew that she was being stalked by this crazy woman - disadvantage of not caring about her surroundings, but Maverick already taught her to always be wary of that people and happenings around her.

"After all that we've been through? You ended it with just because of that "ONE" mistake? Please come back to me? I still love you...so much..." Lenny, the crazy stalker, pleaded and begged to Maverick.

Maverick is simply like that, one wrong move that he does not like, he ends his relationship with them. He's a jealous man because of the women he treated seriously who just cheated on him, that's why he became so controlling, possessive, domineering and jealous when it comes to Queshia.

This particular ex, the crazy stalker, he caught and heard her with his own eyes and ears that she was flirting with and giving her number to a guy older than her, which would be two years older than him, since she was older than Maverick by a year. After what he saw, he beat the crap out of that guy and ended his relationship with Lenny.

He now received another text, but from yet another ex, Rika, his ex after Lenny, also trying to get back together with him. She's the third girl he treated seriously as a girlfriend, and sadly he caught her with a guy, that everyone knows who likes her, at an amusement park having a lovely time.

After that, he played with girls like they have no feelings, like they are just trophies. Since then, he never treated anyone seriously, not until Queshia. But he doesn't realize that yet, he thinks that he's still playing with her, that's why he accepted Rika's message that she will be coming over to his house. His parents even thought that they are still together, not knowing that there is a Queshia on the equation already. He kept his guard up, not wanting to get hurt, but on the process, he's been hurting Queshia, and these worst part is, he doesn't even realize it.

Queshia thought that he's just busy that's why she's not receiving any texts or calls from him, so she decided to learn to cook his favorite dish and was going to give it to him the next day. Her parents were even teasing her that she's sick - she doesn't cook at home, and yet she's cooking with a smile on her face, not knowing that right at that moment, Maverick was with his ex - that his parents doesn't know that they're over already, watching the comedy, "The Dictator" until midnight, and he even played her a song entitled "Let Me be the One" while playing his guitar.

After dinner, Queshia was about to sleep, so she texted him goodnight as always.

"Hmm...are you asleep yet? Haven't heard from you for awhile...so, goodnight! Sleep well! I love you..." Queshia texted Maverick with a smile on her face.

Maverick called right after he read her message.

"Actually no...my ex came over...she wanted to sleepover...but I refused" he then explained what they did.

"Oh...ok...thanks for letting me know then..." not feeling jealous because she's trusts him and she is close to his guy friends too, but of course, with no malice, even with her best friend who liked her, so she thought that it would not be a big deal since she was an ex already and they were friends before they got together.

"You're not even a little jealous? My parents think that we're still together, our parents know each other, she's even just near our house, ok not really, but, well sort of, compared to you..." Maverick blurted, as he was shocked that she could trust him that much even for just a little while of knowing each other, much less, of being together.

"Do you...want me to be?" she asked confused, it's her first time having a boyfriend after all, so she was not really sure of what to react. She was also scared that she might lose him anytime if she made a mistake.

"Yes! It shows that you really care...I'd like you to stake claim on me...like you want me to be only yours..." he reasoned still surprised with her reaction. Normally, all the girls he dated before would have already declared him theirs even if there wasn't really any label between them.

"Oh ok...well I guess it did get me a little upset that you didn't even text me...did you enjoy that much that you forgot about me?" the Green Monster is slowly taking over her, without her even realizing.

"No...I was waiting for you to call or text me...I'm sorry for being a d*ck, I just wanted you to know that if I were you I'd really be jealous as hell...I wanted to know that you care so much about me..." he responded, feeling guilty with his actions.

"Well, I do hope that never happens again alright? I just want you to know that we need to trust each other too..." she replied with certainty of the way how she feels about him and trusts him.

They talked until they fell asleep. Queshia was too ignorant, but she wasn't stupid enough not to know that he might be cheating on her, but she's still hoping he'd change for the better...for her. She wanted the bad boy to fall for her completely.

The next day she waited at a garden near their room to wait for Maverick to pass by. When she saw him he gave him the dish she cooked.

"Uhm...here...I had nothing to do...so I cooked your favorite...I...I just wanted to give it to you before you go to class...good luck! bye! see you later!" Queshia rattled feeling so shy.

"Thanks...I'll let my parents taste this later! bye!" Maverick replied and she was dumbfounded. She felt a little nervous because she didn't know if he would like the taste, let alone his parents!

The day went on like always, they'd eat together, go to their classes, he'd accompany her home and text or call each other all night before sleeping.

Maverick told her that his parents surprisingly liked her cooking, which made Queshia's heart flutter.
