I watched the dawn through my bedroom window as I hugged my knees. It was so serene, so peaceful, so beautiful just like Rys. The tormented bad boy. I smiled when I remembered the bathroom incident, he was jealous of me. He likes me.

A frown was set upon my lips when I also reminded to the part where he left off without a glance in my direction, I felt hurt as tears threatened to escape my eyes like a waterfall but I had to hope that I would still continue to fight for the sparks between us.

The sparks between us deserved to live.

I sighed and rubbed my sleep-deprived eyes. The entire night was spent on my thoughts about Rys and my entire life. My life goal was to make a career out of something I have always loved and to help my dad with the needed bills. I couldn't think something more than just that but the thought of Rys still being inside of my life next to me made me realize that I really wanted that to happen.

I just didn't know if I had that power of bringing the good in him back every time he switches off on me just like what happened earlier. He was mad at me, I could tell from the way he clenched his jaw and sped up that I hit his sore spot.

Placing my hand on the small piano in front of me in a low volume, I began to play to the stunning colors of the dawn. I closed my eyes as my fingers took their usual keys to Beethoven classics and remembered the way he sat watching me with intense emotions in his eyes.

The morning made its warm welcome as I rubbed my eyes once again, I felt emotionally drained but stood up to make breakfast for me and dad. With my dark blue nightdress, I padded down to the kitchen in exhaustion and sleepily grabbed what I thought was the pancake batter, stirred it on the pan in low heat.

"Morning, darling." Dad greeted as he came to kiss my cheek, only to see the burnt bacon strip and steam under it.

I rubbed my eyes again and gasped at what I had done, my embarrassment showed my face as dad chuckled and turned off the stove.

"Morning, dad." I squeaked and he noticed the dark bags under my eyes.

"It's alright, I will fix this mess up," he comforted me and kissed my forehead, I apologized and he waved me off to my room as I giggled.

I brushed my teeth and combed my hair while looking at myself in the mirror, I looked as pale as the dead. I sighed tiredly as I put my hair in a loose ponytail and washed my face five times hoping that it would make a difference.

I wore my favorite white flowery knee-length skirt and light cream colored sleeveless tuck in shirt along with my white sandals. I packed my bag and rushed down the stairs to go to school.

"Bye, dad," I said out loud and not waiting for the answer, I fast walked to school in my sandals with my usual pale face and tired body.

Alexa waited for me outside the school's entrance and she saw the dreary state I was in. I really wasn't looking forward to this day. I automatically scanned the school grounds to the entrance of the school for him but couldn't find him.

Where could he be?

"Hey," Alexa waved in front of me, "I'm right here, why are you looking around?" She asked with a demanding stance.

"Oh, it's nothing," I replied, she was about to question me further but I quickly added, "we're going to get late for class." She pursed her lip, contemplating whether she wanted to investigate or catch her class, she obviously chose her beloved class.

We both went inside and I looked everywhere for him when we passed by the lockers, worry seeped into me as a hunch inside of me told me that something horrible had happened to him.

"-like a bitch, my manicure was looking good as always." Alexa babbled on but I couldn't listen to her and listen to my instincts at the same time.

"Alexa, you go to class and I'll go to the bathroom," I told her casually and she scowled, she knew the lie before I gave anything away.

"Okay but you have to tell me everything when you get back." She bargained and I nodded before I speeded off to the bathroom.

My sandals were left in my locker after I finished cleaning my face and giving myself a pep talk about what I would say to Rys, I was still mad at him but it could wait till later. I ran barefoot outside on the streets as my negative thoughts whispered in my head.

He died.

He's in an accident.

He got kidnapped.

"No, no, no," I repeated over and over as I ignored the slashes of pain from the hard concrete, my flowy skirt was lifted up as I pressed myself to run faster.

I stopped and clutched my head in frustration, I didn't know where his house was so I decided on ringing on all the houses besides mine.

"Sorry, ma'am." I apologized for the third time, I wanted to break down but there was no time, I had to find him.

He probably fled away from you.

He traveled just to get away from you.

"Stop it," I yelled as I shook my head and at the corner of my eye, I saw a broken door and a caution tape. My heart dropped as they carried an injured Rys out.
