Leah raised her eyebrows incomplete surprise before turning around to look at the party that was going on in a full swing. She raised her hand and pointed to the mass of the body dancing on the floor. "It does not look like over to me. In fact, it looks like it is far from over."
His jaw locked. Even in her slightly drunk mind, she could tell that he did not appreciate the back talk. But who cares, not her.
"it's over for you." He grated out.
She clicked her tongue, re-establishing the fact. "It is not."
"Don't fucking challenge me, baby girl." He stepped closer to her until she could see nothing but his face and chest if she chose not to crane her neck up to look at him.
"Well, guess what? She lifted the edge of her lips like she had seen him do so many times before, "I issue one right now."
Lucy whimpered behind her. "Take it back," she whispered. "Please."
