Chapter 24: The Aftermath of Darkness.

The battle was over, but the marks of war remained. Aelric, Seraphina, and Lyra stood in the ruins of the Shadow King's fortress, looking around at the broken stone walls and shattered remnants of dark magic that had once threatened all of Eldoria. The weight of what they'd accomplished slowly began to settle in.

Seraphina sheathed her sword, her face both proud and somber. "It's hard to believe it's truly over," she said softly.

Aelric nodded, feeling a mixture of relief and exhaustion. "I couldn't have done it without all of you. Eldoria is safe because we fought together."

Lyra smiled, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You've proven yourself as the true heir, Aelric. Eldoria will be better under your guidance."

The three of them took a moment to rest, watching as their allies began to celebrate. The army, weary yet victorious, gathered around, exchanging relieved smiles and words of gratitude. Aelric looked at the people he'd led, realizing they now looked to him for guidance not just as a fighter, but as a leader.
