"Didn't you enjoy that?" Ruka purred, cuddling up to me in bed.
I shot her an exhausted look. "So this is where dignity goes to die," I thought, but replied, "Yeah, it was... intense, to say the least."
She beamed at my response, her cheeks a lovely shade of pink. Honestly, having a little adventure with a goddess—maybe because she's an elf—was quite out of this world.
"Should we sleep now?" I asked, turning my head to her.
"Okay, Vel!" she yawned, snuggling closer as she drifted off.
"Hope she doesn't have any weird dreams," I thought tiredly before dozing off myself.
The night passed quickly, and morning came with me waking up to Ruka's antics. My eyes barely opened before I realized she was up to no good, and, well, it was quite the eye-opener!
I looked up at the ceiling, debating if I should be thrilled about the start of the day. "So this is what the inside of a mouth feels like," I thought, blushing as my mind wandered.
After a rather eventful morning, we decided to finally get dressed for the day. It turned out to be an off day, so we tossed on our casual wear and set out for a date—Ruka's idea, of course, to learn more about each other.
"Hey, Vel, look! A vending machine!" she exclaimed, tugging on my arm a few hours later.
"Another one of his creations," I mused, gazing curiously at the box-shaped machine. "Do you want something from it?"
"Can I really use your money to buy anything from it?" she asked, getting close to my face with those big, innocent eyes.
"Yeah, go ahead and choose what you want," I said, handing her some coins.
Racing over to the machine, Ruka inserted the coin, and the vending machine lit up like a holiday tree! "Wow!" She looked amazed. "Vel, do you want something too?"
"Just get me anything," I replied, urging her to hurry up.
She picked something I'd never seen before, and my curiosity peaked. Of course, she wanted to feed me, and I was a little nervous at first, but gradually, I didn't mind the stares while she treated me like a VIP at a food festival.
"Feed me too, Vel!" she asked, opening her mouth wide, making my heart skip a beat.
In went the 'plane' of food as I fed her, and—oh boy—she made some noises that could easily make anyone blush! I told her to tone it down, but she just giggled and kept going. Trying to reason with a goddess? Yeah, good luck with that.
The date wrapped up too soon, but Ruka enjoyed every moment, and I found myself liking it too, even if romance still felt like a puzzle I'd never quite grasp.
"Hmm... how peculiar," someone spoke from behind us, startling me.
"Wha—" Before I could respond, Ruka and I got teleported abruptly.
Hours later, we found ourselves in a castle. "What is this?!?" Ruka exclaimed, looking around like she was ready to fight. "Who ruined my day with Vel?!"
"It was me, the dragon princess," a girl announced as she landed gracefully before us, wings and all.
"Dragon, you say?" My curiosity piqued.
"Yes, but let's not talk about me. Velvet, I pronounce you my bride!" she declared, pulling a marriage certificate out of nowhere.
"Oh, how nice," I said with a cheerful grin until I paused. "Wait, WHAT?" I nearly shouted in shock.
Ruka was furious. "He's going to be my husband!" she shouted, wrapping her arms around me protectively. "You shouldn't take another girl's man!"
"Wait, miss… um, whoever you are, I'm flattered, but I'm not familiar with you, so there's no chance we would marry," I said honestly.
Her face fell, and I felt terrible. "How could you forget me?" she whimpered, plopping down on the floor.
Oh boy, was this a bad time for memory loss! I remembered her—kind of. "Poru, I remember you now! So please don't cry. I'll accept your marriage proposal, but let's get you back up," I said, lifting her gently.
"Vel, are you really okay with this?" Ruka looked at me, clearly confused.
"Yay! He accepted it!" Poru cheered, her tears turning to joy.
"Oh, great. This is heading straight for a harem route, isn't it?" I thought, feeling the weight of my fate.
After some intense rivalry, we made it back to town, and there was Ariel, waving at us. Relief washed over me, but then I got hit with a punch for bringing Poru along.
"So what's this about marrying a dragon princess?" Ariel glared at me.
"Um, some stuff happened so..." I started, but her furious eyes made me rethink my words.
"After that, she said, "So, is this dragon girl your new addition to the party as well?"
I fumbled for words. "Yeah, due to some circumstances—" but got interrupted by another round of fierce glares.
"Hmph... you were supposed to be with me first, but being late isn't so bad, I guess..." she mumbled, and I almost didn't catch that!
"Wait, what was that? I couldn't hear you," I prodded, but got smacked on the head for pestering her.
"Ahem, now that I've shut him up, Poru, here's your guild license. Please hold on to it at all times," Ariel said, handing it to her with a smile that sent shivers down my spine.
"Luck isn't always fair, Vel, but cheer up!" Ruka said, giving me a pat on the back.
"Who was the one who gave this worthless passive to me in the first place?" I whispered angrily.
And that's how I ended up with a new 'wife,' a new teammate for a party that doesn't even have a name yet, and my dignity as a man hanging by a thread as I face this growing harem. If any more girls join, I might just faint!
Later...
"Please, you girls, don't fight over me!"
"We refuse!"
Hey everyone! Sorry for the late chapter release! You know how it goes—life has a funny way of throwing curveballs when you least expect it. Also, there’s a bit of spicy content for now until I find a smoother way to describe some of the ahem more intimate moments. It might feel a tad awkward, but hey, we’re all friends here, right? I hope you “enjoyed” this chapter! If you did, I’m super happy! (⊙o⊙)
Things are heating up (no pun intended) in the series, and the next chapters will be where the action really starts. Just a heads-up: it’s going to take a bit longer to storyboard and write them out, but trust me, it’ll be worth it!
Also, big shoutout to my trusty AI assistant who’s been a huge help in structuring this and adding more details than I ever could!
And remember, parental guidance is on, so let’s keep things fun and family-friendly! Thanks for your support, and can’t wait to share more soon!
