Licensed Trainer- Pass the league issued certification and received their starter pokemon from their nearest gym, or one of the pokemon sponsored by their regional professor.

Rookie Trainer- 0-2 Badges.

Intermediate Trainer- 2-4 Badges.

Advanced Trainer- 4-6 Badges.

Ace Trainer- 6-8 Badges.

Conference Champion- Win the regional conference and gain the right to challenge the Elite Four. There is also the opportunity to establish or challenge ownership for a gym.

Gym Leader- Owner of a gym, mentors other trainers who can receive a sponsorship from that gym to enter the regional conference.

(Gym Fellows: Trainers who study under a gym leader, and can act as substitutes for a gym leader for a period of time.)

Elite Four- The four best trainers of a region second only to the Regional Champion. Once defeated they gain the right to challenge the regional champion.
