The Auguste (Indefinite Hiatus)

I didn't have a memory of who I am when I woke up. I don't know why, but I seem to have been able to think like an adult person the moment I was born. I'm smarter than everyone my age, but I think that will quickly change soon. A robotic voice, which is the tutorial bot, said that I was created for many purposes, but above those is the purpose of growing stronger until i am the strongest. I don't know who my creator was, since he's dead, but I will find out on my own. I am Auguste, a clown trying to find his own purpose, not the ones given to him, and this is my story of how I became the god above gods. _____________________ I am not that good of a writer, and quite self conscious also. If you can, please point out my mistakes so that I can fix it for later readers. Anyhow, enjoy the novel!

Chapter 34: Delia (Part 7)

*Pak!* *Pak!* *Pak!*

I looked at the pathetic woman in front of me, her eyes full of tears and bruises as I punched her again and again with my fists. I was holding back, by a lot so that she wouldn't die quickly.

Silence filled the road as the two dragons made entirely of thunder and earth circled on top of us from time to time, the only witness of my rage was the old man and Delia.

Every punch of my little hands caused Lorallia to flinch, even when she was already unconscious, I kept punching her. I felt rage, anger because of the suffering she caused Delia. If it wasn't for her and her father, then Delia would've lived a great life! If she inherited the position of the queen in the rock kingdom, then those people back then wouldn't have to resort to cannibalism!

How can people like this woman live such a luxurious life, while naturally kind people become evil because the environment they lived in wasn't good? I know that the world is unfair but instead of hoarding everything to yourself, shouldn't you fulfill your duty as the leader of an entire kingdom? The king and the current crown princess of the rock kingdom should know all about responsibilities, yet they just live their lives in a bunch of luxury items while their people suffer from poverty, disease, and murder.

I am not going to stand by any longer!

Soon, I was finished beating her up, she was only a few breaths away from death.

"A worthless piece of sh*t like you shouldn't live in this kind of luxury. I don't care if your kingdom is allied with the Albion Empire because, from now on, everything that your royal family owns is mine. Your treasury is mine, the crown is mine, and I will do whatever the f*ck I want!" I said to her as I stepped on her face, almost crushing it beneath my shoe. She was unconscious so she wasn't able to hear me but I didn't care.

I turned to look at Delia and saw her face full of shock from what had just transpired.

I smiled at her, and said, "I'm sorry you had to see that, Delia. I am no ordinary child as you have known me as. I apologize for lying to you." I bowed slightly, showing my apologetic face.

To be honest, she didn't know what to do. Too many things happened too fast, and now she sees her cousin lying on the ground with a bloodied face, unconscious. In one day, her world had turned around from the moment this child came into her life. He is a bit weird, at first, but then he kept getting weirder and weirder, now he stands in front of her with bloodied fists with the smile of a child.

She stood there, silent, but then her stomach started hurting. All the stress piled up inside her, and then, water came falling from her dress.

Her water broke.

"Aaaahh!" She screamed in pain.

I immediately ran towards her, fear came crashing to my head as I didn't know what to do.

"A-Ah, what do I do?" I said to myself, then the old man, Christopher, walked towards her and inspected her condition.

A frown came to his face as he said, "This baby is only 7 months and half old in her mother's womb, it will be risky if a normal physician operates on her. But thankfully, I'm here, one of the few masters of medicine in the silver continent!"

'Wow, he didn't even forget to boast…' I thought inside my head.

"Lie down, missy. I know the ground is a bit dirty but this is important for your baby to survive." He said, and Delia, even though she was in so much pain, still managed to hear him and obliged.

She lied down, and the old man carried her inside the carriage.

He gestured to me, "C'mon, my apprentice, I need an assistant!"

I followed him inside the carriage and saw that space inside was a lot bigger than it looked outside.

'Spatial magic!? How!? Only mages from the golden continent can use this kind of magic, and there are only a few cultivators capable of using spatial magic!' I said in my thoughts, shocked to see someone actually wielding this element.

It was an empty room, only a single metal bed in the middle was present.

Christopher laid Delia on top of the metal bed, preparing the tools needed for the birthing procedure.

"What are you doing, child? Stop being amazed by such a simple thing like this, and help me!"

I quickly ran towards him, and said, "What am I going to do?"

"First, use water magic to rinse my hands of any germs it might have." He said as he presented his hands in front of me.

"Okay!" A burst of water came out of my palm and washed them.

"Now go, I don't need your help any longer."

'What?'

(A Few Painful Hours Later)

The birthing procedure was successful, and a baby girl with a patch of brown hair was being held by Delia. The baby's eyes were brown, just like her mother's. The baby was full of smiles, reaching out for her mother as if she didn't have any complications earlier.

But I was worried for Delia, her skin was incredibly pale, paler than before.

At the side, Christopher said while taking off the rubber gloves he used earlier, "This would've been a far easier procedure if you have told me that you were also sick."

I snapped my head towards him, "What do you mean by that?" I asked.

He frowned, "She had been infected by a slow-acting poison that can only be found in the wilds. This poison usually takes around 5 months to kill a full-grown man but since she is a woman and was pregnant, the poison would've killed her in three months. The most notable symptom of this poison is pale skin, and it is hard to cure it once it reaches the final stages." He said with nothing but professionalism.

I was shocked. So that's why I found her pale skin weird from the first time I met her! She was already sick!

Delia smiled slightly, looking at her baby, as she said, "You know that I don't have much left. I only have a few weeks at most but since I am currently weakened, the poison would kill me in a few days. I know my body better than anyone."

I-I didn't know… I should've known! But it's not too late yet, I can still cure her!

But… my hope came crashing down as she said, "I know that this is selfish of me, but I only want to rest right by my mama's side. I don't care about the people in this kingdom anymore. Vengeance? My dear mama wouldn't want that. Christopher, was it? Can you let me rest?"

I saw her eyes grow weaker, and her body grows paler.

Christopher took the baby from her arms, and Delia laid her body on the metal bed, closing her eyes.

"But Delia! You could still live! I have a cure for that!" I said, desperately trying to persuade her.

She didn't respond, only thick silence covered the room.

'Why are you staying silent, Delia!?' I said in my thoughts.

I could only watch as her baby started crying in Christopher's arms, trying to reach out to Delia.

[Don't try anymore, Auguste. She has already made up her mind. Death is already a release for her, and if she continues to live, suffering is the only thing that would await her]

I… didn't know what to do. What do I do in this kind of situation? Should I respect her choice? Should I just ignore her words and still cure her? WHAT DO I DO!?

[Nothing can be done, Auguste. If you save her today, she might kill herself tomorrow. You don't want her to die while thinking badly of you, don't you? Just do nothing. This is normal, accept it]

I bit my lip and turned around to leave the carriage.

The sun was setting outside, and it was deeply quiet. I could only hear the noises from the cicadas, and even then, I heard nothing.

My head was full of thoughts going around. I felt betrayed, sad, and helpless.

I put my trust into her, hoping that she would live to be happy. But she has been thinking about her death for a long time, even before I arrived.

I walked around the street, with no purpose in sight.

"Hah hah hah hah!! How ridiculous!" I laughed hollowedly, tears dripping from my eyes.

Lorallia doesn't know about Christopher's spatial magic since he didn't use it earlier, he used it when he and Auguste and Delia entered the carriage.
