Chapter thirteen
Sophia sat on the plush couch, engrossed in her favorite TV show, the characters' laughter and banter filled the room, making her smile.
Her expressions shifted as she reached different parts of the show, and sometimes she even talked aloud as if the characters could hear her.
"No... He is lying, don't listen to him." Sophia said, however, her words were useless since it was just a TV show.
"You folks never learn. For once in your lives, listen to me." Sophia said again, but her words were just a futile effort in trying to change what was going to happen in the show.
Sophia chuckled. "Yeah... That's what I'm talking about, let him have it!" She exclaimed. "Show him who's the real boss."
However, as the episode reached its climax, a gentle knock interrupted the suspense.
"Sophia, dinner has been served," Emily called from outside the door.
Sophia sighed, reluctant to pause her show. She got up and opened the door to find Emily.
