Best Friend?

"Oh, it's nothing. Let's go!" Chelsca said to Jino, pulling him away from the car by the arm.

"Chelsca, I said I would give you a ride!"

Lewey insisted, and she had no energy to argue with him.

"Why are you so persistent?" Jino faces Lewey, and they wrestle gazes.

Thanks to Jino, he's the one who argued with the guy since she's not in the mood to play a game tonight.

"And who are you to act superior? Besides, she's not going home yet. We're going for dinner," Jino denoted boastfully. He was lifting his chin, showing confidence that Chelsca didn't want to come with Lewey.

But Lewey only glared at him. "I have an important matter to discuss with her, so then I will bring her to a restaurant."

"Are you deaf? She will not go with you," Jino stated firmly.

"Who are you to decide or speak on her behalf?" Lewey's question. Annoyance displays on his face, expressing his displeasure that Jino is always hanging out with Chelsca. Since the guy arrives, he can't get too close to Chelsca from then on.

"Have you forgotten? I am her fiancé," he reasoned.

Lewey chuckled, which made Jino raise a brow upward. "Fiancé? Really?" It sounded like a mockery.

"The way you reacted, you dare to mock me?" A glare flashes between them. Lewey responded with the same glare.

"Like I care about you and don't know the truth yet." Lewey won't back down, taunting Jino. Now that he has confirmed something, he will pursue Chelsca.

"What?" Jino snaps. He steps closer to Lewey's car to show he is not inferior in this argument.

"That you are not her fiancé but just claiming one," he taunts him.

"Oh, yeah? Look, who's talking? Dare you to claim, as well, that you are Chelsca's boyfriend, even if it is just a pretense? Stop kidding me."

By Jino's comment, Lewey's gaze darkened, throwing warning stares at him.

"Pretense? Don't kid me either, pointing at me as your very own doing? Huh! Ridiculous!" Lewey laughs. "I will treat her to dinner if she hasn't eaten yet."

He had no plan to back down but argued with Jino. They continued arguing. Then they notice that Chelsca disappears.

"Chelsca? Where is she?"

They looked around and found her climbing into Antony's car. So she left them both.

"Hey! Chelsca! Why have you left me here?" Jino shouted, but Anthony did not stop the car. "How can I go home now?" he asked helplessly. It confounded him at how Chelsca just left him alone.

He glances at Lewey. Jino has no choice. And so he smiled sweetly at Lewey.

"What? Do you think I will give you a ride?"

"It's your fault they left me behind now!" he accused.

"Clearly, they left you intentionally."

"That's because of you!"

"How did it become my fault? Are you out of your mind for accusing someone?"

In the end, Lewey gave Jino a ride and dropped him off at his boarding house.

"No. They were still here!"

"Who?" Lewey follows where Jino's gaze is looking.

"Those are high school students. They won't leave me alone. Now they were waiting outside my boarding house," he mumbles. Jino looked at Lewey, then smiled.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Lewey had a bad feeling about it.

"Take me with you."

"What? Are you kidding me? You must be thankful I gave you a ride and dropped you home! Now get out, and so I could go home now!" Lewey drives out Jino.

"Let me stay at your house for the night." Jino looks at Lewey with puppy eyes.

His jaw dropped upon hearing this.

"What? No way!"

"I will tell Chelsca how unkind you are."

He chuckles. "Wow. Are you using her to threaten me? I can't believe this! What do you think about everyone? Babysitter?"

"I will pay you!" but Jino insisted.

It sounded like a joke to him. "Are you crazy? I don't need your money. I am richer than you."

Ouch. Jino scowled, twitched his lips, and faced sour.

"Why should I take you?" Lewey heaves a furious sighed. He can't believe in the situation he's in.

"Because I am an exceptional student at your school! In fact, I am a guest that you should take care of!"

"We treat everyone equally, no special treatment. Even the princesses who came here." He emphasizes the word 'princesses', and Chelsca is one of them.

"Pleaseeeee..."
