45 Extracting confession

The sword of death assassin members had their weapons laced with poison, after all, that's one of their characteristics.

Su Yue continued to stare at Ah Yue Cheng who immediately followed with, "All the buildings are almost burnt to a crisp. We should leave soon, this hall will also start burning in about the time it takes to burn an incense stick."

Su Yue shifted her gaze to the elders whose faces now seem alike due to how horrified they looked.

Yue Fan walked to squat beside Su Yue and started to grind the ink they met on the table. He also arranged the papers for her to write on.

Su Yue shifted her gaze between Ah Yue Ai and the paralyzed pavilion master.

Ah Yue Ai immediately understood what his master wanted and brought out an antidote for only the pavilion master. Why would he give the others antidotes when their antidotes are extremely rare anyway?

He walked to the old man and shoved a white pill down his throat.

A few seconds after taking the antidote, the pavilion master glared at Su Yue and roared. "How dare you...!!"

"Swoosh"

"Hiss"

"Ahh!"

The pavilion master screamed in pain and held onto the joint connecting his arm to his shoulder, however, his arm was missing and blood was pumping out without reserve.

"You don't yell at my Master!" The fierce looking Ah Yue Song barked at him.

The pavilion master continued to scream. Seeing his right hand on the floor and blood pumping out of the neatly cut wound, he couldn't stop wailing.

"Who sent you after my master?" Su Yue wrote and Yue Fan raised the paper for the Pavilion master to see.

The old man was still wailing and thrashing around on the floor, so he refused to even look at the paper, let alone talk.

Seeing this, Su Yue picked up the brush and wrote. "Ah Yue You, feed him your poison."

The cold-looking Ah Yue You stepped forward and forced a pill down the Pavilion Master's throat.

Soon the old man stopped feeling the pain from his severed hand. But before he could feel happiness, he started to feel uncomfortable and soon he started to convulse and itchiness inside his skin assaulted his senses.

"Ah!! What did you do to me?! Give me the antidote!"

Ah Yue Fan raised the paper again and this time, the pavilion master looked at it and shook his head in haste.

"I– I don't know who your master is! This is a misunderstanding. A misunderstanding!" He said frantically in a loud voice.

Su Yue wrote on another paper and Ah Yue Fan raised it again.

"Ten years ago. Poison Master Longwei."

Immediately the Pavilion master saw what was written, his soul jumped. He forgot the itching feeling inside of him for a while as his brain registered who she was.

'It can't be her, right? Ah! the mute who escaped!' he widened his eyes in horror, then slowly his face turned unsightly.

He immediately went on his knees from his sitting position and started kowtowing.

"Please forgive me, spare me, I was ordered to get rid of you all. I had no grudge against you. I was only following orders!" He pleaded with tears and mucus running down his face.

For some miraculous reasons, the itching had subsided. Though maybe it was because of the fear he had for the lady in front of him right now or maybe it was how the pill was made, he would never know.

"From who?" Su Yue wrote.

However, the Pavilion master didn't want to say. He stayed silent until he got a kick from behind which accelerated the effect of the inner skin itching poison.

Under his skin, it was itching terribly. No matter how hard he scratches himself with his remaining hand, it does nothing to relieve him of the itching.

"Please give me the antidote!!"

Yue Fan raised the paper one more time and he quickly confessed.

"It was an order from the headquarters! They wanted me to kill your master and everyone else. Your senior made it easy by poisoning the water in the well and also the wines your people had that night. Please give me the antidote!!" he screamed.

The itching was becoming more unbearable. It felt like little ants were crawling under his skin.

That poison was Ah Yue You's masterpiece.

"Why were you asked to kill him?" she wrote.

"I don't know! Please give me the antidote!"

"Where is the headquarters?"  She wrote.

"It's in Chou Lèi kingdom, in Mournful City. Antidote, please!!!!" The pavilion master begged, but Su Yan paid him no mind.

"Master, the fire is getting closer!" A subordinate ran over from the door.

Su Yue stood up and walked towards the door with her subordinates walking behind her.

The scream for an antidote became smaller and smaller until they could no longer hear it.

Su Yue stopped walking after getting to the tree beside the road. She turned to stare at the hall. The flame had already engulfed a part of the building.

'Master, seniors, your revenge is half done. Those who gave the orders, mournful city, I will show them no mercy'. Her memory flashed to the event of that painful night.

Hi, this is the author here. When I started writing TAE, I had so much hope for it and the zeal to try out a genre I have never done before was so great that I immediately started writing even when I have no idea of what the next chapter would be like.

The first three times, I had to rewrite TAE over and over again due to my editor not finding it good enough.

Now, I was able to please her, but my contract seems to not be coming anytime soon and that isn't because the book is not good enough, but because my readers aren't showing or supporting it.

She feels it's not marketable because my 100+ readers aren't helping the book grow.

Those supporting this book aren't up to 5 readers and it breaks my heart.

It's just like working for your company, knowing you won't be getting paid, yet almost no one is supporting you.

It hurts guys and it's not encouraging.
