"Stop! Stop! Make it stop!"

Demona tilted his head to one side, confused on what was going on with the girl.

"Look at me, Sofia."

She struggled to sit up and search for his eyes. Somehow, she felt a soothing energy flow through her until she calmed down. For a moment, she was able to read his expression. He was concerned; concerned about her. But then, he was back to his apathetic self.

'' I can't kill you--yet," his voice as dead as ever.

"Yet?"

"Yes."

She was supposed to be happy that she wasn't going to die soon but she just had to ask why, because of the uneasiness that she felt.

"Why 'yet'?"

"The deal was to kill everyone in your family... except one person."

She didn't understand this at all.

"Why is one person exempted?"

Tired of the questions he rose to his feet, looking breathtaking. This was actually the first time she noticed his handsomeness.

He began walking to the door when she grabbed him by the pants.

"Demona?" she beckoned.

This was all too much to take. Why would her father strike such a deal with a demon lord? Was it to protect her family at the time because of the kind of life he lived, or job he had? It didn't make sense to seem right that her father would have stopped so low all for protection at an ultimate cost. She just could not find a reasonable explanation on what really in the world would have driven her dad to make such a deal?

These questions troubled but didn't anger her. The thought of Demona, Edward and his father being the ones who took her only family away from her, causing her to live hell for her brother's bright future only for him to be killed, made her thirst for revenge.

But wait, if Demona had a demon lord, who is he, and his family? Does he even have a family, or he is just making up lies to answer her burdensome questions.

If she was going to be the only one spared, she needed to know why and take advantage of this opportunity to avenge her family's death.

"Demona!" She yelled again, pulling him.

Like the speed of light, he pulled her up by the throat and pinned her to the wall. He was strangling her, repeating the same action he did to her brother moments ago.

She was loosing it; loosing consciousness. If she didn't think of a way out of this, he could consider breaking the agreement her father had with the demon lord.

Who truly was this devil?
