It was a very bright morning, sunlight and fresh air entered the room's wide open window.
"What a beautiful morning," muttered Kiara standing in front of her bedroom window. "But I have to get ready to go to school soon." Kiara then went into the bathroom and not long after heard the sound of gurgling water.
It didn't take long for Kiara to prepare herself. After finishing applying powder to her cheeks and tying her long hair and tidying her bangs that added to her cute face, Kiara immediately left the room.
"Mom!!"
"Mom's here!" Mother answered from the front, watering her favorite flowers in the yard.
"Where is the cake that I have to bring to the store," asked Kiara.
"I'm just going to the store, you want to buy ingredients for making cakes," Mom answered as she put down the plant sprinkler. "You just have breakfast."
"Yeah, okay," Kiara replied.
"What do you want for breakfast?" Mother asked pulling up a chair for her to sit down.
"Just bread." Kiara took the bread and spread it with her favorite chocolate jam. "I'll be home a little late."
"Why?" Mother asked.
"There are additional lessons to prepare for the exam," Kiara replied.
"After finishing extra hours of lessons, you go straight home!"
"Yes ma'am, I'm straight home!" Kiara replied.
After finishing her breakfast, Kiara immediately said goodbye to going to school. The highway as usual is always busy in the morning, filled with various kinds of vehicles vying for their destination.
Amid the hustle and bustle of vehicles, a car was seen trying to break through the capital's road but its efforts were in vain. Inside the car was an adult woman driving.
"I hate traffic jams," she muttered to himself. "I'd better find another way." Then she turned his car out of the main road into a smaller street. The car she was carrying could be a little faster than before.
"I have to hurry to the office, lest Mr. Leo is angry because the documents for today's meeting have not been completed," Monika said to herself in her heart.
From afar, there was a crowd of several people in the middle of the road as if they were looking at something.
"What's this again?!" She grumbled in his heart.
Monika slowly slowed down her car because she couldn't pass, blocked by people on the road.
Suddenly from the side, someone knocked on the windshield of the car.
"Help! help!"
Monika lowered her car window slightly. "What is it?" Monika asked the person.
"Mom please, a child was hit," the person replied with a worried face.
"What kind of help do you want?" Asked Monika confused.
"Take the child to the hospital, the person who hit him fled," the man replied.
"No, I don't want to! I still have many things to do," replied Monika, rejecting it.
"Mom, poor kid. There's no other vehicle here that can take him to the hospital."
Monika then looked around and it was true that no vehicle could take the child to the hospital.
"Mom, please," the person pleaded.
Monika sighed. "Okay! I want to see it." Monika then got out of the car.
"Yes, ma'am. Poor child" replied the person.
"Oh my, what a pity. How long has he been like this?!" Tanya Monika felt sorry for the victim who was hit with wounds on her body.
"About 30 minutes ago," answered one of the people standing looking at the boy.
"Then hurry up and get into the car!" Monica's orders. "But who will accompany him?" Asked Monik then. "Just you!" Show Monika to one of the people standing.
The one who felt appointed immediately pointed to himself. "I?" she asked.
"Yes, you! Come with me to the hospital," replied Monika.
Like it or not, finally, Monika and the person went to the hospital. Monika drove her car carefully because the road she was on was not big.
"What's your name?" Monika asked the person who was hit earlier.
"Indra," he answered softly holding back the pain in his leg.
"Why did you get hit?" Ask Monika.
"While crossing earlier, suddenly from the left came a motorbike at high speed, I didn't have time to dodge." Indra was silent for a while feeling the pain in his leg. "Fortunately there is this brother who helped me," he continued looking at the person who had been sitting next to her.
"Oh yes, you. What's your name?" asked Monika looking back briefly.
"Kiara," she answered simply.
"Are you guys from school?" Asked Monik again.
"No, I just happened to be passing by," Kiara replied.
"Thank you, Sis," said Indra to Kiara. "If you weren't there, I might have been hit by another vehicle."
"You're welcome. Does your leg hurt? I see it looks like it's broken." Kiara tries to hold Indra's injured leg.
"I think so, my legs are also getting worse," Indra replied, grimacing in pain.
"Patience, we will arrive at the hospital in 5 minutes," said Monika.
"Indra, have you contacted your family?" Asked Monika then.
"No, I haven't contacted my family yet?"
"Use my cell phone to call your family," Monika handed her cell phone.
Indra immediately contacted his family and told him that he was currently heading to the hospital.
"Thank you, sis." Indra returns Monika's cell phone.
Not long after, Monika's car arrived at the hospital. "You guys wait here, I'll call the nurse."
Monika hurriedly got out of the car to ask for help.
Not long after, Monika came with several nurses who brought wheelchairs. Without waiting long, Indra was immediately transferred to a wheelchair and brought in for treatment.
Monika and Kiara then went to the administration because several letters had to be signed.
Not long after, Monika's cell phone vibrated indicating an incoming call.
"Hello sir," Monika answered the incoming call after seeing the name on the cellphone screen.
A voice answered on the other end of the phone.
"I'm now at the Budi Asih Pak Hospital," said Monika.
Monika was silent for a while to listen to the person who called her.
"Yeah okay, I'll just wait here. Thank you, sir." Monika then hung up the phone.
"Kiara, don't go to school yet. Accompany me here until Indra's family comes," said Monika looking at Kiara.
"But I have to go to school, it's already late," replied Kiara.
"Let me contact your school," said Monika. "What's the number?"
Kiara called out the school's phone numbers one by one.
"I already called, the school said it's okay you're late because you took people to the hospital," said Monika, putting her cell phone back in her bag after she finished contacting the school.
"Yes, thank you," replied Kiara.
"We'll find a seat." Kiara follows Monika.
"Soon my boss will come, I have to attend a meeting because I'm the secretary," said Monika. "You will be alone here until Indra's family comes."
"Alone? I don't want to!" Kiara answered quickly.
"But I have a meeting, Kiara."
"Let's wait here together or I'm going to school now!" Kiara threatens.
"Fine, fine. We'll wait here together."
Monika's cell phone vibrated again from the bag. After seeing the name listed on the cellphone screen, Monika immediately answered it. "Hello, sir."
There was a voice on the other end of the phone.
"In the waiting room, sir," said Monika. "Okay, I'll wait here."
Monika hung up again.
"Kiara, my boss has arrived, he is in the parking lot. He is on his way here now," said Monika.
Kiara did not answer, in her heart only hoped that Indra's family would come soon so she could hurry to school.
