Hearing Odin's words, Charles nodded but didn't say anything.

As the Supreme Merlin, he had the freedom to dress as he pleased, and no one could stop him.

Seeing Charles's silence, Odin got straight to the point, "The reason I called you here this time is because there's something I need your help with."

Charles looked at Odin but didn't immediately agree.

"As the king of gods, Odin, if there are things that you cannot accomplish with your power, then I'm afraid I won't be of much help," Charles said.

Odin chuckled, "It's not a major task, and it's quite simple for you."

"How so?"

"I assume you've seen the Rainbow Bridge shattered as you entered."

"With the Rainbow Bridge broken, there's a high probability that the inhabitants of other realms will rebel. I hope you and Thor can go together to quell the rebellions in the Nine Realms."

"Firstly, you can use this opportunity to promote the reputation of the Supreme Merlin. Secondly, I will compensate you accordingly for your assistance. In your terms, we can call it a 'mission reward.'"

Initially, Odin had invited Charles merely to introduce Thor to the first-generation Supreme Merlin and expand their connections.

However, Thor's destruction of the Rainbow Bridge made Odin realize that the Nine Realms would no longer remain peaceful.

Considering Charles's abilities and his desire to deepen the relationship between Thor and Charles, Odin proposed this joint effort to suppress the rebellions.

This would not only serve as an opportunity for Charles to demonstrate his capabilities but also strengthen the camaraderie between Thor and Charles. Furthermore, Odin's contribution would only be some items from his vast treasury that he no longer needed.

Charles pondered for a moment and then said, "I agree, but we need to sign a mission contract. As for the mission reward, we should also discuss it in advance."

Odin then led Charles to Asgard's treasury.

In the hall, various treasures were displayed, including gold and silver jewelry, exotic artifacts, mysterious magical items, and a multitude of spoils of war and ancient treasures—all competing for attention.

Charles's eyes lit up, realizing that the collection here was truly extraordinary.

Excitement surged within Charles as Odin's treasury contained items such as the Infinity Gauntlet, Eternal Flame, and Frost Casket. After the initial excitement, Charles asked, "Can I take a look at the treasures in your treasury first?"

"No problem. I can give you a tour," Odin replied.

"Follow me."

Charles trailed behind Odin and entered the treasury together.

As they opened the door, a dazzling array of colors shimmered in the treasury, making Charles momentarily unable to open his eyes.

As the radiance faded, Charles could finally see the interior of the treasury. Numerous stone pillars resembled display stands, each with an item placed on top, covered by a transparent magical shield that concealed the energy and radiance emitted by the items.

Odin walked to the first stone pillar in the treasury, where a dazzling white light emanated from a diamond-shaped stone.

"This is Alfheim's gift, the Radiant Stone. It possesses the ability to heal injuries. When embedded in weapons or armor, it exhibits incredible effects."

After Odin's introduction, Charles asked, "Can I hold it in my hands to take a closer look?"

"Of course, no problem."

Odin waved his hand, summoning a token composed of runic symbols that floated in front of Charles.

"Take this token; it will deactivate the magical shield upon contact."

Charles picked up the token and examined the runic symbols on it. There was no immediate response from the system, nor any prompts.

As the token touched the magical shield, the Radiant Stone's magical barrier vanished instantly, and a warm white light burst forth from the stone.

Feeling the soothing warmth, Charles exclaimed, "This stone can actually restore injuries and mobilize blood and energy."

Odin nodded in approval of Charles's observation.

Charles placed the Radiant Stone back after examining it. As the stone returned to its place, the magical shield enveloped it once again.

Seeing Charles put back the Radiant Stone, Odin asked, "Is there a problem? Are you dissatisfied with this item?"

"Not at all. I just want to explore other treasures first."

Odin didn't mind and proceeded to introduce other items in the treasury.

On the second stone pillar was an item, a semi-transparent pearl growing on coral, displaying a deep-sea blue.

"This is a unique treasure from Alfheim, something interesting I acquired there."

"Pearl of Submersion: Carrying it grants the ability to breathe underwater. When manipulated with mana, it allows the user to part waters and traverse the seas."

"Even the great sea would part for you in its presence, revealing the ground for your passage," Odin explained. "Of course, the prerequisite is having sufficient magical power; otherwise, the time the sea remains parted won't be long."

Listening to Odin's introduction, Charles realized that there probably wasn't any ordinary item in this treasury. Each collection had its unique effects.

Without hesitation, Charles used the token given by Odin to deactivate the magical shield and held the Pearl of Submersion.

"Ding! Discover a rechargeable item. Would you like to recharge it?"

As expected, it was another rechargeable item. Charles didn't spend much time playing with it. Once he confirmed that it could be recharged, he placed it back in its original position.

Moving to the third stone pillar, an oval-shaped, frost-white gem rested on a pedestal.

Odin happily introduced this item, "Soul Stabilizing Bead. It's a treasure I obtained during my invasion of the Hell Dimension."

Hearing that it was acquired from the Hell Dimension, Charles asked, "I presume it's not a simple item."

Odin smiled, "Just like its name suggests, it has a unique effect of stabilizing the soul. Especially useful when practicing magic, using it to stabilize the soul yields excellent results."

"Of course, if someone unfortunately loses their body, they can also use it to stabilize their spirit, preventing capture by the Hell or Heaven Dimensions."

A magical aid for practicing magic?

Charles glanced at Odin and then recalled their conversation. This wasn't Odin's treasure trove; it was Asgard's treasure trove. Moreover, Asgard probably had more than just this one treasure room. These were just the tip of the iceberg.

After all, Odin, who ruled the Nine Realms for countless years and even sought to dominate the entire universe, was unlikely to possess only these items.

Although Charles didn't see everything, what he did see made him envious. When would he have so many treasures of his own?

"Do you have your eye on any specific treasures?" Odin inquired. "If you've decided on something, I can prepare it for you in advance."

As Charles and Odin walked towards the entrance of the treasury, Charles looked back at the treasure trove. Then, he slowly spoke, "There are many things I like, but let's settle the payment after the mission is completed."

Odin smiled and didn't reject Charles's proposal. However, after the treasury's door closed, Odin took out a gemstone.

"Consider this radiant stone as a welcome gift for our first meeting. Congratulations on becoming the Supreme Merlin!"

Seeing the radiant stone in Odin's hand, Charles accepted it without hesitation.

"Thank you, King Odin!"

Storing the radiant stone in his storage space, Charles spoke, "How should I come back here when the war breaks out? I don't think the Ancient One will be sending me back and forth every time."

Odin looked at Charles and then said, "You can build a Merlin Magic Array here, the kind that allows only a single person to teleport. With your magical power, you should be able to support teleporting yourself."

Hearing Odin's words, Charles was momentarily stunned. Odin actually wanted him to build a Merlin Magic Array here. However, considering the distance, even if it were Merlin's magic array, wouldn't it drain his chakra the moment he teleported over?

Charles twitched the corner of his mouth, "It seems I won't be able to enjoy your pick-up service."

Odin shook his head, "The cost of using dark energy for teleportation is high. I might as well give you two more items from my collection."

Seeing Charles immediately responding, Odin smiled and nodded, "Alright, I'll give you two more treasures."

"Your welcome banquet is ready. Now, let's go together."

Following Odin, Charles arrived at the banquet hall. As Odin appeared, the atmosphere in the hall instantly quieted down.

Everyone in the banquet immediately stood up respectfully and greeted, "King Odin!"

Odin nodded. At this moment, Frigga walked over to Odin.

At this moment, the servants brought Charles to the side of the Ancient One to sit. Odin and Frigga were sitting in the main seat.

Odin raised his wine glass and said, "Today's banquet is to welcome the Sorcerer Supreme and the Supreme Merlin to the Asgard."

"To them!"

As Odin's words fell, everyone raised their wine glasses towards Charles and the Ancient One.

"To the Sorcerer Supreme!"

"To the Supreme Merlin!"

Charles and Ancient One also picked up their glasses, toasting with the people of Asgard.

Odin put down his wine glass and said, "I hope you enjoy this banquet."
