Chapter 278: A-rank Mission

The re-election campaign was imminent. Without undergoing a heart transplant treatment and the leader not making any public appearances, the approval ratings were about to fall below those of the competitors.

Chris, facing the barrel of a gun, looked even more unpleasant. He explained, "This is the highest alert, meaning we can't handle it. My men won't be able to hold them off for more than a few minutes."

"Take this child and leave. We can still perform the surgery elsewhere."

However, Zheng Hanshou paid no attention and believed in his own judgment. He then fired a shot at the ground.

Neji nodded in agreement.

Hearing Charles's words, Hinata's eyes widened with disbelief.

"Your task is to eliminate the telecommunications fraud and organ trafficking organizations in the Golden Triangle region, including Southeast Asia, Thailand, Cambodia, Kanchanaburi, Laos, Myanmar, and others."

"Of course, with your efficiency, you should be able to solve most of it if not all within three months. Report back when the time is up."

"I will calculate this mission as an A-rank mission."

Excitement filled the expressions of Neji and Hinata upon hearing that it was an A-rank mission. 

After all, they hadn't executed one before. However, for Temari, who had teamed up with Gaara on a mission before, true A-rank missions were something she had experienced countless times.

"Yes, Lord Charles! We will ensure the completion of the mission!"

After issuing a new mission, Charles looked at Li Yongzhi, still bound to the surgical table, and instructed Hinata to take her away.

Hinata untied the restraints on Li Yongzhi and, together with Neji, escorted her out of the slaughterhouse.

Li Zhongzhi was anxiously waiting. Even though Charles and the others had only entered for a few minutes, each second felt agonizing for him.

Just as Li Zhongzhi was about to rush into the slaughterhouse, the factory door opened, and Charles's group of five walked out. Li Zhongzhi immediately saw his daughter, and joy immediately appeared on his face.

At this moment, the sunlight outside shone on Li Yongzhi's face, waking her up. In a daze, she saw her father not far away and then glanced at the surroundings and the fully armed guards. She murmured, "Was I saved?"

Hinata softly replied, "You're safe now. The bad people have been eliminated."

Li Zhongzhi rushed to his daughter, embracing her in his arms. Hinata and Neji released her accordingly.

"Daughter, you're safe, it's wonderful..."

As he spoke, Li Zhongzhi was choked with sobs and teary-eyed.

Charles knew that Li Zhongzhi was overwhelmed with emotion and didn't disturb the father-daughter reunion. 

In the original story, Li Yongzhi's heart was eventually taken, and she died a tragic death. Li Zhongzhi, not wanting to implicate his wife, died at the hands of the enemy.

He had helped them avoid a tragedy, and the mission that was assigned could prevent even more regrets and tragedies.

Though he was not a superhero, dealing with scum like this was still satisfying.
