The Ark Of Bryan

"How long are you going to stare at me until you ask my name?" asked the man, who shifted uncomfortably.

"I had expected you to introduce yourself," explained Mavislin.

"You first."

Mavislin elbowed the stickman. Ashley nearly spat out his soup.

"He can be best friends with you, Sassy Stickman," whispered Mavislin, with a deadpanned look.

"I'd rather not be friends with exploding balls..."

"Mavislin Roydon, leader of the Barren Pillars," said the Valkyrie, ignoring the stickman.

"So, you are the infamous Valkyrie!" yelled the happy mystery man.

"You sound surprised..."

"Well, of course! You are quite well-known to us small fries. My name is Bryan, no last name given, I'm afraid."

"Mage or Human?"

"Do I get a choice of 'both'?"

Mavislin remained quiet while she tried remembering the fella's name. She had heard it before, somewhere during her small journeys. But the ongoing fight at the Old Chapel snapped her back as she quickly felt Melancholia.

With Baldwin dishing out attack using his Ancient Relic, the fight was coming to a standstill. Dark against Dark was annoying. Not only that, it'd been only a few months before that he'd faced off with this creature. The Angry Man was sick of seeing this guy's face.

Seeing the situation, Raiyen decided to use something he'd never thought he would need. Taking out a rather large and elegant feather from his coat, Raiyen thought that it was time to use that armour.

"No way, how did you get that?" asked Ysabeau, in shock.

"Long story. Let's just say it was a very important gift from someone," explained Raiyen, as quickly as he could.

As he implanted the feather into his chest, the Time Mage felt both a surge in power as well as a sharp pain into his Elemental Core. Not only the feather was giving him a boost in terms of Elemental Energy, it was also strengthening his Elemental Core.

No... It's not just strengthening his Core. It was pouring Valkyrian light into his body. A white badge, bearing Valokia's emblem emerged from his chest. From the badge sprouted out aa white tailcoat and a few body armours. But the pieces were mainly for his chest, back and abdomen.

"Looks like this power is enough to prevent me from getting Melancholia but not enough to use a Valkyrie's spell right off the bat," murmured Raiyen.

"You be safe, alright?" instructed Z.

"Of course, Peanut. I'll make sure to protect her as well."

With those final words said, Raiyen dived down into the battlefield once more. As he brought out his twin daggers, he began an avalanche of slashes from above. TThis both surprised and quickly annoyed the opponent.

"Thought you ran away," sneered Benjamin.

"Like hell I would. I still haven't got the chance to get even with you just yet."

Raiyen then shot up into the air and proceeded to chant out the twin daggers' names whilst trying to break Benjamin's defences. Baldwin saw this as a hint to get away and think of way to find an opening. But a familiar Aura caught his eye and he snucked out to find it.

"Sorry, Gil. I need to see this first," explained Baldwin.

"Locate that Aura. If we can have another Galaxian Mage here, we would call Z back into the fray. Locate him," replied Gillian.

"Yes, Headmaster."

Both Aki and Time Mage continuously sent barrages of attacks towards the Corrupted One, but none was doing any great damage. And Raiyen was faltering.

"Looks like using that feather would have cost you half of your Time Energy pool. And you've ran out of it. A Time Mage without Time would be as easy as killing a fly!" roared Benjamin, throwing a black hole towards Raiyen.

"I might have but they don't call me a Triplet-Holder for nothing!" yelled Raiyen, glitching through the air.

"What?! How can you still teleport if you can't use your Time Element?" shouted Benjamin as his Melancholia spell inched out from the place he stood.

"Glitch was never a spell of the Time Element alone. If I can't use Time, purely, I mix it up with my other Elements."

Raiyen then unleashed a huge conga line of Radiant Storms, all aimed towards the Corrupted One. With several bolts raining down, there was no way the Corrupted One could exscape.

"Voltaic Dance!" yelled Raiyen, as his Aura exploded to full blue color.

Streams of blue electricity danced his forearms as he launched himself towards Benjamin.

"Raiyen can't take anymore... I have to go back," said the Valkyrie, standing back up.

"And where do you think you're going? There's no way you can defeat that Corrupted thing without a backup plan," said Ashley, quickly finishing his soup.

"I thought I was the backup plan?" asked Bryan, scratching his head.
