Two Months

By the end of the sixth day, Leus decided to change his plan

'My Mana Pool isn't increasing fast enough'

'I'll start learning another spell, There's no point in continuing this if the progress is too slow'

He decided to learn Fire Magic

(Flame: A flame used for utility purposes

'This spell just feels like a more complicated version of Sal's spell, Spark'

When he was done chanting, A small body of fire started hovering above his hand

Leus noticed something

'Unlike Boost, To keep the flames active I need to concentrate

'It also keeps consuming Mana, Just like Mana Vision'

'What if I use all three spells at the same time? Mana Vision, Flame, and Boost? I'll use the wind on the flames and see what happens'

Leus activated Mana Vision and kept Flame active, Then repeated the incantation of Boost

Suddenly, Leus felt a sharp pain in his head, It took Leus by surprise and made him lose all his concentration, Thus, All the spells were deactivated

' ... I wasn't ready for that'

'Looks like using more elements at the same time needs more concntration'

His Mana Pool was almost over, So he went back to his room

'I have some plans for tomorrow'

'If what I have in mid works, Then training for the entire week was totally worth it'

He consumed the rest of his mana and slept

The next day, Leus took a deep breath and then did the same thing, Activating all three spells at the same time

The sharp pain came back, But this time, Leus was ready for it

As soon as he did that, Flame started rapidly consuming Leus' Mana to remain active and not die to the wind

The increased consumption of his Mana put even more stress on Leus' mind, But he ground his teeth and kept going

By the time Boost was over, Leus was already on the floor

His Mana was almost over and he was too tired to even stand, He slept there only.

Blaze noticed him and carried him back inside

After sleeping for 11 hours, Leus got up in the middle of the night

And as soon as he got up his eyes gleamed

'Something changed!'

The change was subtle, But he still noticed it

'My mana pool did not increase by that much but I can still feel that something has changed'

Leus excitedly got up, Activated Mana Vision, and slowly walked out of the house to not wake anyone up

'Mana Vision is consuming slightly less mana'

He activated Flame and noticed the same thing 

'YES!' 

He did the same thing as yesterday, And the sharp pain returned but it was less severe 

'Keeping the elements active at the same time also does not require as much concentration!' 

He kept on doing it until his Mana Pool was almost over again, then went back inside

'I've finally found a way to progress further'

'I have to use as many spells as possible at the same time'

'I don't know if using spells of different elements has a connection or just using any kind of different spells is enough, But now that I know what to do, I'll keep on doing it'

'Eventually, My Mana Pool will be big enough to allow me to silently cast spells!' 

Leus was very happy about his discovery

He consumed whatever was left of his Mana then slept with a smile on his face

For the next month, Leus' schedule was the same

Eat, Train with the 3 spells at the same time then sleep and repeat.

By the end of the month, Leus' mastery over the spells reached maximum level 

'Once I have enough Mana, I'll be able to silently cast it'

At the same time, The spells consumed less Mana than when he first started, And his Mana Pool was bigger 

Leus was happy about his progress

'When I first started, I was able to activate Mana Vision and use Boost 3 times'

'Now, I can activate Mana Vision, keep flame active, and use Boost 5 times'

'My Mana Pool has almost doubled' 

'I still need more Mana, But this is pretty good'

But Leus decided to take things easy for a bit

'Now that I know what to do and I can see progress, I will take a break'

'This extreme schedule is boring anyway'

So the next day, instead of training, Leus decided to spend some time with his family

"Hey Mom and Dad"

Viorica was excited

"Leus, How are you doing?"

"I'm fine Mom, How are things going?"

"Amethyst is becoming smarter and improving in writing, How is your training going?"

"I'm feeling improvements but I still need more time, I honestly thought it'd be easier but I'm managing"

When Blaze heard that he replied

"Don't push yourself too hard, But it won't be as easy as you think"

"Yes now I know that, But I still think I can finish it in less than two years"

Blaze and Viorica's reaction to that differed

Viorica grinned broadly

Blaze's lips curled upwards in a wicked smile and he thought to himself

'He'll be in for a surprise when he thinks he's done'

Nevertheless, Both of them didn't say anything about it

After taking a break for a couple of days, Leus resumed his training 

'This time, I'll focus on increasing my jump height with Boost' 

The first few times were ... Painful 

But after about a week, He perfected it 

His progress was still slow, But he knew that he would soon be able to silently cast some spells, Which encouraged him to continue

And just like that, Two months of training passed, And Leus was Two years and two months old.
