Reinforcements

Leus put his hand in his pocket, took out his Emblem, and showed it to Kye.

"Do you recognize this Emblem?"

Kye instantly replied

"Of course! This is the Library's Emblem"

Kye then remembered

'That's ... The Emblem which was on his chest'

Upon understanding that, a lot of things made sense to Kye

'That's why he's so strong, he's not just a guy, he's The Librarian's disciple'

When Kye realized that he got annoyed and spoke in an irritated tone

"Why the heck would you hide that? If you would have shown me that then we wouldn't have had to go through all this..."

Leus smiled

"Two reasons"

Scar and Bones were both nervous and quiet, they didn't expect Kye to be an Elite Knight at all.

Leus explained

"I didn't want you to know who I am before I knew who you are"

Leus didn't continue, so Kye asked

"What's the second reason?"

" ... I knew I'd win, so I wanted to see how the fight would go. I never fought anyone that can fight me back with a Water Affinity."

Kye was bewildered after hearing that

"So ... it was just a game to you?"

Leus replied in a casual tone

"Not exactly, I really wanted to know who you are."

After Leus said that, the room became silent for a while, Leus was thinking about what he should do and Kye was waiting for Leus' decision.

Scar broke the silence

"Now what?"

Leus looked at Kye and asked

"I need you to comply for a while"

"Comply? With what?"

Leus shrugged

"No idea, I don't know what the Crimson Guards want from me, but I think keeping you as a hostage is a good idea for now, right?"

"You don't need to keep me as a hostage, now that I know who you are, I'm not going to fight or resist"

'After all, no sane person wants to make an enemy out of The Librarian... I heard that even The Leader himself can't go against him.'

Both Scar and Bones were surprised by ... many things, like how powerful Leus actually is, but now they were surprised the most by Kye's behavior.

Naturally, they didn't believe that he won't resist.

Scar said

"And what exactly makes us believe you?"

Kye tilted his head in genuine confusion

"Do you not know how strong the Librarian is? Well, that's probably the case since you're from the Slums, no offense.

Just think about it yourself, The Librarian's disciple defeated me, what can I do against The Librarian himself?

I don't get paid enough in this job to put my life at risk by going after either of them, honestly speaking, if I knew The Purple Saint's real identity I wouldn't have even accepted the mission."

Kye's words made a lot of sense, Scar couldn't refute it, so he went silent.

Bones looked at Leus and asked

"What now?"

Leus sighed

"I'll request help"

'I didn't want to involve Arno in my personal matters, but it can't be helped'

He added Water Mana to his Emblem and then looked at Bones

"Untie him from the chair, we will go outside"

"Do I untie his hands and legs?"

Leus shook his head

"No, keep his hands chained"

Leus stayed beside Kye all the time while Bones was untying him, to make sure that nothing wrong happened

'Better safe than sorry'

But there really was no need, Kye didn't even think about resisting, actually, at this point, he was ready to fight alongside Leus.

'If I end up on The Librarian's good side, all my problems will be solved'

After Bones was done, Kye stood up and stretched his body

"I feel much better than when I started the mission"

Leus spoke jokingly

"My Potions are the best"

"Your? Did you create it?"

"Yeah, Who else"

Kye was stunned

'So that's why he's called the Saint! What kind of a Mage can cast so many elements?...'

Scar opened the door and everyone walked out of the "Torture Chamber"

Kye looked around him in confusion

"Where are we?"

But no one answered him, Leus just pushed him to move forward.

After they exited the basement, they found both Kyle and Maxton standing in front of its entrance.

Bones quickly spoke before Maxton could say anything

"Leus wants us to go outside, let's go"

Both nodded and walked outside

Kye was walking beside Leus so he looked at him and asked

"Your name is Leus?"

Leus nodded

"Yeah"

They walked out of the house and to Kye's surprise, there was an entire army of armed men walking around

"Damn! How many guys do you have?"

'No wonder the report said it went out of proportions... these guys can start a civil war inside the Slums'

'It's not a gang, it's a militia.'

Leus shrugged

"No idea, I only come occasionally"

The three stood in front of the Safe House, and every single person walked by them greeted Leus either by saying "Boss" or waving their hand

Kye was impressed

'Leus's really popular here'

A couple of minutes passed, then Kye asked

"What exactly are we waiting for?"

Leus looked at his Emblem and said

"Someone should come"

Not long after that, two fully armored knights appeared in the distance, their armor was blue, and they were walking with quickened steps toward Leus.

The place became tense, this was the first time Leus' men saw armored knights in the area, but Bones quickly intervened and eased their tension

"These are The Purple Saint's guests"

When Bones said that, the guys relaxed and cleared the way for the knights.

The knights were using a ring that had an arrow hovering above it, and that arrow was pointing in Leus' direction.

They quickly approached Leus, and as they got closer to him, Leus was able to recognize one of them.

One of the knights was red-haired and the other was blue-haired, and Leus knew the red-haired.

'Felix? But it's night...'

Both the knights were very confused by the situation, but they didn't let it show on their faces, they gracefully came to Leus' side and Felix spoke to him

"Young Master"

Leus didn't know the other knight's name, but he had seen him before

'I think he's from the noon shift'

"Guardian Felix, welcome, I didn't expect you to come as it's night."

Felix replied

"If you'd have sent a signal from inside the Library, then the current shift's guards would respond. But since you sent it from outside, those at the current shift can't leave their position and someone else has to respond, and an Elite Water Knight must be among those coming, so me and Arvin came."

'Such a complicated protocol ...'

Regardless, Leus nodded with a smile

"Thank you both."

Felix glanced at Kye and the chains on his hand then asked in a polite tone

"So, Young Master, why did you summon us?"

But before Leus could answer, both Felix and Arvin's expressions turned serious and they unsheathed their swords.

"Young Master, step back, multiple auras have just entered my Domain ... Strong ones"

When Scar and Bones heard that, they went into emergency mode and signaled to all the guys to retreat to the Safe House.

Leus activated The Abstract of Concealment and Advanced Mana Vision.

Mere seconds later, The figures of three men appeared in the distance.
