Leus spent the next few days doing tests and experiments on Life Force.
and during these days, he discovered a lot.
At first, Leus tried to fundamentally understand Life Force and how it functioned.
But very quickly he gave up on that idea.
'Life Force is exceptionally complicated'
It turned out to be such an intricate Concept that just trying to understand even a little bit about it gave Leus a severe migraine.
'It's impossible to understand how it works, it's like looking at a sheet of countless complicated mathematical values that neither of them makes any sense'
If he would use one word to describe Life Force then it would definitely be
'Incomprehensible'
However
'Not being able to understand it fundamentally won't stop me from knowing more about its characteristic'
First, Leus wanted to find out exactly how powerful Life Force is
'I want to Compare it to Mana'
So he began experimenting by transforming 3% of his Life Force to Elemental Mana
'1% Fire, 1% Water, and 1% Vapour'
After doing that, he noticed a couple of things
'First, changing the Element makes no difference'
'Second, 1% of Life Force = 10x the amount of Mana'
After thinking about that he realized that the sentence didn't make any sense.
He decided to fix that
'I need to create a measurement'
'1 Unit = 1% of my Life Force'
'And consuming 1 Unit of Life Force results in 10 times the amount of it in Mana'
'This means that Life Force is 10 times stronger than Mana'
'That is really powerful ...'
After finding out exactly how powerful Life Force is, Leus decided to try to actually use it to create an attack
'Or do anything, that amount of power must be useful in something'
'To do that, first I have to take Life Force out of my body'
And that's where things became troublesome.
Leus sighed
'It's so powerful, yet so fragile'
Whenever Leus would try to push Life Force out of his body, it'd immediately dissipate
' ... I don't think it's possible to keep Life Force outside of an organic matter'
Life Force can indeed be transferred from one person to another
'But that needs direct physical contact, so Life Force seeps out of the hand into the patient's body'
But just keeping Life Force outside of the body by itself seemed impossible to Leus
'I think it needs something to hold into, like something biological or organic'
In short, Life Force needs a living being to keep it from dissipating in the air
'Life Force needs life ... what a surprise'
Still, Leus didn't give up
'If I can't use it to attack, can I at least use it to defend?'
Leus got a brilliant idea
'The heart is basically a generator of Life Force'
In theory
'As long as a heart is alive, it can generate an unlimited amount of Life Force'
So Leus' idea was
'Can I store some Life Force outside of the body to use it whenever I need?'
It's correct that this line of thinking leads back to the previous problem, but Leus had something in mind
'Can I incorporate Life Force into Potions?'
So Leus started working on that
'First, I need glasses'
He went to the button panel and called the servants
Immediately, a voice resounded
"Hello, Young Lord, how can we help you today?"
"I need glasses"
"Glasses of what? Young Lord?"
"Just empty glasses"
"... I apologize, I do not understand, Young Lord"
Leus took a deep breath
'Why does he have to say Young Lord after every sentence ...'
"A glass is a drinking container made from glass, do you know what that is?"
"Yes, Young Lord"
"I need 20 of those, Now"
There was a long pause before the reply came
" .... I understand"
"Thank you" Leus said before hanging up
A couple of minutes later the door knocked.
Leus opened it and found a maid holding a tray standing in front of the door.
The maid had a strange expression on her face, but Leus didn't care about any of that.
He quickly took the tray and said
"Thank you"
Then he closed the door and placed all the glasses on the dining table.
'Well, let's do it with the best ingredients'
He took out a pouch from his pocket
It was the pouch that Arno had given him when Leus asked him for water
'The best water in the city'
The pouch was filled with 10s or maybe even 100s of bottles
Leus smiled when he saw that
'A lifelong supply'
He took out 4 bottles and filled about 25% of each of the 20 glasses with them
'Sadly, I still have to add my own Water Mana, otherwise, the spell won't work.
But this should increase the quality nonetheless'
After that, he chanted Potion and added Light Mana with the characteristics of Healing, Restore, and Mana Augmentation to the glasses
'Now I have different Potions'
'Time to get to work'
Leus activated Advanced Mana Vision to clearly see the reaction then began to slowly add Life Force into the glasses
'1 Unit of Life Force per glass'
He put his index on top of the first glass and slowly pushed 1% of his Life Force into the Potion
' ... It's holding ... but... it's not remaining'
The results were encouraging ... but only to an extent
'Potions are definitely a better medium for Life Force to reside in than air'
But the problem is that
'It still dissipates'
Leus added Life Force to every glass and inspected the changes
'All the Potions became very thick ...'
'I guess that's because Life Force is very condensed, it holds a 10 times stronger power than Mana in the same mass'
However, it reacted differently to different spells
'It doesn't last for even a second in the Mana Augmentation Potion.
It lasts for about three to five minutes in the Restore Potio.
And it lasts for about ten minutes in the Healing Spell'
Leus scratched his chin in thought
'This means that the characteristics or the attributes of the Light Mana influence how Life Force behaves'
'So .. this should mean that it isn't impossible to create a Life Force potion, right?
I just have to find the correct attribute of Light Mana'
Leus sighed
'And that would need a lengthy trial and error process'
'CAN YOU STOP'
Since the moment Leus started the whole thing, he sensed abhorrence and revulsion coming from deep down within him.
At first, he ignored it, but now it started to get really annoying
'Diablo, I don't care if you hate Life Force or whatever, just shut up and let me think'
Leus went back to what he was thinking about
'I REALLY want to do that'
'If I can save a couple of Life Force bottles for my mother, that would basically solve all the problems that I have on my mind right now'
Sadly, that wasn't possible
'At least not right now'
But Leus had a couple of ideas in mind
'Sadly, all of that has to wait'
'Time is up'
The Duel was about to take place, Leus had to rest
'Then teach that Mage a lesson'
Well now, I took such a long break huh?
Anyway, greetings all!
I'll give an update about the novel's future at the end of the next chapter, until then, tell me, are there any readers here?!
