Leus entered the Safe House along with Scar and Bones.

Bones' Escorts were already waiting for them inside.

"Put the body in the basement's chamber then come to me, we got things to do"

Bones said that to his Escorts then turned around to Leus and added

"I'll increase the patrols in the area and increase the security around the house, I'll be back in a while, do you need anything from me?"

Leus shook his head

"Not really, But bring Kyle and stay with me after you're done, this guy had a partner who's as strong as him, it's better to be grouped and ready for any surprise attack until we interrogate him."

Bones nodded

"Sure"

Bones' Escorts returned and he took them and left the house, Leus looked at Scar

"Where's that room?"

"Follow me"

Scar led Leus to a long hall and then to a room, in that room, there was a hole in the floor that had stairs leading underground.

Leus followed Scar down and they entered a square room that was supported with columns made of the building stones Leus provided.

The room had 3 wooden doors

"What do you think?" Scar asked

"... It's well built, what is it?"

"We hired someone from the city and built this basement with your share of Protection Money, honestly, it cost us a small fortune, but it's worth it.

Now we have a storage to store wood, Stones, and Holy Water!"

Scar pointed at one of the doors and continued

"And of course, A torture chamber"

"A ... Torture chamber?"

Scar nodded

"And this is the first time it'll be put to use"

Leus snickered and said

"Don't get your hopes up, we aren't going to torture him"

Scar shrugged

"Whatever you want"

Scar opened the door and entered, and Leus followed him inside.

The blue-haired man's unconscious body was placed on a metallic chair on the right side of the room, his arms and legs were tied to the chair with metal chains.

Leus looked around him

The room had many -Tools- in it, hammers, nails, knives, along with some other objects, all placed on a table which was on the left side of the room.

But one thing seemed out of place, so Leus asked

"What is wood doing here?"

Scar replied nonchalantly

"In case we want to torture someone with fire"

"Oh ... Right, that makes sense"

'They can't use magic to create fire'

Leus looked at Scar and said

"Bring me glasses, Many glasses"

Scar nodded

"Alright"

And left the room

Leus was left alone with the man

'It's better to check on his body again, I don't him to wake up while I'm not ready'

Leus was ready to break a couple of bones again if it was needed.

He chanted Examination on the man's body

'Very good, his bones have already healed, but his lungs are still regenerating, at this rate, I probably have two hours or so.'

Leus also noticed something else that he hadn't seen earlier

'Looks like my punch damaged his head somehow'

'I didn't see it earlier because I didn't focus on it, but his brain too is regenerating'

' ... I punched too hard'

But Leus didn't dwell on it much, he was certain that the man's life was not in any danger.

A couple of minutes later, Scar returned with 6 glasses and he placed them on the table

"Do you need more?"

"Uh, I don't think so, let's see"

Leus took one glass and began thinking

'I know that the Third Tier Spell, Poison, allows me to create a poison with the characteristics I want, but because I never actually tried using it, I have no idea how to create what I have in mind.'

And so, Leus began his experiments

'The Spell, Plague Arrows, poisons anything it hits'

Leus picked up a glass and kept casting plague arrows at it, filling the glass with a very dark, Slimy liquid

'I want to create a Poison that instead of poisoning, drains Life Force.'

'Plague Arrow is the closest I have to that.'

'I'm sure that by altering it, I can reach something.'

Leus used Advanced Mana Vision, which allowed him to see Life Force.

He picked up the man's right hand's index finger and put a drop of Plague Arrow's slimy liquid on it.

At first, nothing happened, so Leus added more, and then the man's finger lost its shape and began atrophying as if acid was put on it.

Leus hardened his hand

'Just in case he gets up'

Then called Scar

"Scar, Cut the top half of this finger, I don't know if keeping it will affect the rest of the body"

Scar picked up a dagger and cut the area Leus asked him to, which was pretty easy since it had become just like a husk.

The man's body shook, Leus readied his fist, but the man didn't get up

'Interesting ...'

Leus saw the man's Life Force course its way from the man's heart to his finger and slowly start regenerating it

'How much Life Force does it take to regenerate half a finger I wonder'

Leus decided to find out the answer to that question and inspected the man's body until the finger fully regenerated.

The change was so small

'Probably 1%? Or maybe 0.5%? If the body part is small then the regeneration is pretty fast and easy, especially if it's just bones and skin, but regenerating organs takes hours'

Leus spent the next hour trying to alter the characteristics of Plauge Arrow and Poison to create a poison that directly affected Life Force.

His idea was simple

'I need something that will drain his life force, and then I need to make a cure for it, to make him feel like he'll die if he doesn't answer me.'

As time passed, Leus realized that it wasn't easy at all.

Many fingers and half fingers were cut during the experiments, some times the finger just melted, some other times nothing happened, some times only the skin melted.

MANY times, The man's body violently shook, but Leus had a guess

'As long as his organs are still healing, especially the brain he probably won't get up.'

But it also didn't matter if Leus was wrong

'If he gets up, I'll just punch him until he's knocked out again.'

'After all, he's tied with metal chains ... even if he's strong enough to break it, if I keep punching he'll eventually pass out.'

After about 2 hours of experiments ... Leus managed to do it!

'Finally! A perfect poison that drains Life Force'

Based on Leus' guess

'If I make him drink this, then as his body absorbs it, his Life Force will slowly get drained until he dies'

Leus filled three glasses with the poison

'Before I give it to him, I need to create a cure.'

Thus, Leus began his experiments, again.

Luckily, Creating a cure was extremely easy

'All I had to do is use the Third Tier Spell Potion to create a potion with the characteristics of Cleansing'

As soon as Leus put a glass filled with that potion on the poison he came up with, the Darkness disappeared and the poison became as clear as water.

"Finally!"

Leus was done with his experiments, Scar observed the entire process with interest, it took a total of about two and a half hours.

After he was done, Scar spoke

"That was ... Interesting"

Leus replied proudly

"It's my first time doing something like this, I think I did pretty well"

"We'll find out when we give it to him ... right?"

"Yeah ... if he directly dies it'll be too bad"

Scar laughed when he heard that

"Yeah, it'd mean that we wasted a lot of time ...."

Leus nodded and thought to himself

'And it'd break my Moral Code ...'

Scar asked him

"Do you want to start now or wait for Bones?"

"Let's wait for a bit, if he doesn't come we'll start"

"If that's the case, I'll just go up and check on him, I'll be back in 10 minutes"

"Alright."

And so, Leus was left with the blue-haired man in the room with six glasses behind him, four filled with failed experiments, One filled with perfect poison, and the last filled with its only cure.

Leus looked at the man and murmured in a low voice

"Soon, you'll tell me everything you know"
