Before I begin, a reader's comment brought to my attention of mistakes in the previous chapters. Although I didn't find a mistake there, I did, however, find a few mistakes that I fixed but no doubt, there might still be some.
I would be thankful if you could also highlight such mistakes with paragraph comments so it would be easier for me to begin.
this part had taken a few words so I will be editing this part out after a few days.
That's it, enjoy.

Chapter 45
[MP 10\1140]
That was close. Unlike all my prior battles, the star of today's show wasn't 'Magic Bullet' but 'Divine Shield'. The attacks of the elves were very versatile and strong not to mention their variety of different attacks, my 'Divine Shield' had to be constantly replenished.
Their attacks were so constant and coordinated, that I didn't even have enough time to replenish my MP using potions.
It was Alicia who provided the necessary distraction.
"you did well." I complimented Alicia who was still staring at the elven ring lady. It must be pretty hard for her but I doubted it would be much since she has already seen death before.
Anyway, the reason I wanted to come here is just beyond that hill those elves were trying to open. Now the thing is, I have no idea how to open that.
So all I could do was hope that the one who could, wouldn't show much attitude.
[You might want to watch your words if you want my help]
'Yes, yes. Please open the door, Your Highness.'
[It's Your Majesty!]
'Fine, fine. Please open the door, Your Majesty'
[That's better]
[Now place your hand on the door]
I walked forward and placed my hand on the wall of the hill or should I say, a disguised door which soon started rumbling thanks to Allison.
The disguise became undone and a majestic door was revealed with exquisite patterns of the old times. Elven patterns or to be more specific, high elven.
Shortly after, the rumbling stopped and the door slowly opened to reveal the greatest weapon ever to exist.
[Books?]
'Books.' The infamous line from the GOT is that knowledge is power. I agree with him wholeheartedly. Power can come to an end but leave a book behind and generations would benefit from it.
"What is this place?" Alicia asked me while gaping at the rows and rows of books.
"This, lady saint, is one of the greatest libraries that contains thousands of ancient high-elven medical techniques that can save someone from the brink of death," I replied while taking a step further.
Only an elf descendant can enter this place no matter what kind so our entry was only possible with Allison.
"Now here is what I need you to do." I addressed Alicia and pointed at a shelf, "Begin from there and start reading everything."
My instructions were clear and precise. The orientation test lasts seven days so we have technically almost six days to finish all this. I can easily finish all this in a day but I need Alicia to take some knowledge from here. It's to avoid troubles later on.
Alicia was somewhat distraught at my orders but she still complied after a little complaining.
======
It took me only a day to read through all of the stuff. Most of it was useless to me since the medical techniques that I knew were a thousand times advanced. Of course, not all of my techniques are applicable in this era so these techniques would be useful in some situations.
The other useful gain was several recipes for potions. Different potions of different qualities. Mostly potions for health and mana, inferior to quality from the ones in the shop but it wouldn't hurt to make some in case I want to save coins or run out of them like how I did two times in Ravenknight kingdom.
Not to mention that it was a rare knowledge. Potions didn't exist in the world of Isis. So these recipes for potions were from ancient times and when the elves obtain them in the future, they become a superpower so strong that the whole world had to look out for them.
Other than that, there were several runes and spells that were useless to me but very useful for some of the characters I had in mind.
However, I was saving the last and important pieces for the last. Something whose gain was more than anything here. Something I needed for the future. The only material I could take out of this place.
My sight landed on three vials of potions that were carefully placed in a glass container on a pedestal.
The liquid inside them was glowing silver in color and it seemed as if the liquid inside the vial was alive.
[Potion of Sanctus
Rank: Divine
Description: A magical potion that is created by the mage Hephaestus and left for his lineage to consume in times of dire situations.
Like how this potion helped him to solidify his position and the position of his kingdom, he hoped that his lineage when faced with the same troubles would be able to have some more time.
Effect: Lifetime increased by a century]
If we compare the potions in the shop, then the MP recovery shop would be SS rank, and in the library, the recipes for potions were SSS rank at most. In other words, these vials before me are the only divine rank potions in existence.
Also, there was no recipe for it so I couldn't make it as well.
[I can make the recipe for you]
At an exorbitant price no doubt.' No need. First, this potion was only limited to the same kind as the creator in other words the elves.
And second, I don't need something like this as I know thousands of techniques to increase the life force of anyone by a thousand years not just a century.
I don't need this in the first place since I practice the pure element of life. My life is already extended by centuries and when I take it to higher levels, I would be no less than an immortal.
Of course, if she could alter the recipe and make it so I could use it for everyone, then I would be using it to make many people heed my commands like a small puppy enchanted by a bone.
[I can do that too]
'Then I would have to take up your kind offer.' I replied even though I knew the price would be too much for it so I didn't have very high hopes.
[I can do it for free but when the time comes, you will have to do something for me]
'What?' I asked skeptically and a little cautioned. If she was waving the price for something like this, then what she would ask in return might be too much for me.
[It won't be something severe]
Had anyone else said that to me, I would have doubted them even though it was Laura but I for one knew that Allison wouldn't lie to me. if she doesn't want to tell me something, she can simply withhold that information and I have no way of forcing it out of her.
'Very well.' I replied and a notification appeared in front of me.
[Recipe to the 'Potion of Sanctus: Revised' is now in the glossary]
Wait a minute, glossary? Do I have a glossary?
[Of course, you have a glossary]
Then does that mean I didn't have to waste a day here to read all these books?
[Yep]
'Then why didn't you tell me?'
[You didn't ask]
That's right. I didn't ask. A typical female reply, shifting all the blame on me. but I'm gonna be the bigger man and let this go.
"Are you done?" I asked the other person in here who was reading a book while also munching on a snack provided by me.
There were dark circles underneath her eyes and she looked like a cute version of a koala.
"Almost, Your Highness." She replied, making sure not to forget the proper decorum of addressing me but I care less about it.
For all I care, she could call me by curse titles and I wouldn't mind.
[You are one after all]
I am one after all.
Turning to Alicia, she seemed to be struggling with something. Curious since I hadn't read the books I had assigned to her, I went over to her only to see her struggling to understand a worn-out book with a black cover.
"What is this?" I asked while taking the simple book from her. The book wasn't blank but the scribbling on it wasn't being translated even by the universal pack which was a surprise since the universal pack translated even babies and animals.
"I can't decipher what is written in it," Alicia spoke while taking another bite of her snack.
'Check it for me.' I asked Allison to check it since even the system wasn't showing a description.
[No need]
[I can tell you what it is]
'You can tell me but you won't, is that what you mean to say?'
[You really are very smart]
Figures. She has no reason to and even if that is the case, I think the real reason is because this thing right here is important and Allison thinks it is not time yet to let me know of it.
[I will say this again]
[You really are very smart]
Of course, I am. Will you find another person in the whole wide universe who has mastered medical methods for all kinds of ailments?
Anyway, 'Can this be at least saved in the glossary?' I asked since I wanted to keep a record at least.
[Better]
So it can be taken outside as well. This also suggests that it is equally important like the potions earlier or even more important than them.
I simply stored it in my inventory and then turned to Alicia. "Have you memorized all of the books that I assigned you?"
Since she was busy with her own task, she failed to notice that I had already read through everything else so she asked, "I have but if the information in just this is so valuable, shouldn't we spend some more time here and try to memorize the rest as well."
"No need." I simply relied and added, "I'm already done with everything else. If you want, I will teach everything I learned here to you."
I still owed Alicia one even though it was now starting to seem as if Alicia wasn't so angry with previous Adrian's act.
"You, you read them all?" she asked wide-eyed which looked quite funny with dark circles beneath her eyes.
"That's for later. Let us leave now since we still have to focus on passing this test." I replied in response and we prepared to leave for the Orc's camp.
======
When we arrived, the forest fire was put out already although there was still smoke rising from that direction. The camp of humans was being built in place of the demolished Orc camp. The only tent still remaining was the orc chief camp.
We both entered the camp to see many soldiers guarding the stone while the students seemed a little less. Asmara and only two girls were left.
Maybe the others went to explore around.
"Where are the others?" I asked Asmara who had just noticed our presence.
"They…" she began and meaningfully looked towards the medallion before looking at the soldiers guarding it.
No words were needed, it was apparent what had happened.
"Well, their loss." I casually replied and made my way towards the medallion. I simply touched it under everyone's eyes and crushed it.
A faint light surrounded me and the rest of my classmates who were now down to four. Soon, my view changed and I was in a room where our team had been transferred to the test artifact.
But what awaited us wasn't a congratulations sign which signified that we had ended the test fastest since Eric took three days to finish it and I had barely taken two.
No, what awaited us was a number of teachers and instructors who weren't looking in much of a good mood.
"Student Adrian von Deus Lux and Alicia Mon Grante, you need to come with us." A burly man spoke with clear anger concealed in his tone.
Looks like they are not happy about their artifact. Oh, did I forget to mention, that the artifact would disappear the moment it was cleared which in this case means, the potions were brought out of the artifact.
Teehee!
