165 Testing the scanner

An idea popped into my head. Why don't I test this expensive junk on myself? It's supposed to be able to scan mana values as well as physical strength. I wanted to know what tier it would think I was. I messaged Goliath about my idea, and figured I could just talk to Savannah, and Ethan in person.

Well I wouldn't even need to talk to Ethan in person. I could just mind link with him if I really wanted to let him know quickly. Goliath immediately expressed interest in the idea. So did Savannah. I couldn't wait to see what it said.

I could barely sit still throughout the day during classes. It translated to very aggressive, and impatient sparring matches. Matches that I either won or lost very quickly. It was just point matches so I didn't actually get to beat them into submission. Strength training was every other day.

Goliath went with a point system. Landing hits gave you a point. Five points won the match. It kept us from getting hurt badly. Then he pounded us when it came to the strength training.

Especially me. It was hard for him to push me though without putting me on the more expensive equipment. Everyone couldn't use it at once. We had to take it in turns, and I didn't get much from it when I did get to use it. Goliath, and I walked together to the simulation hall when class was over.

No one bothered me when I was with Goliath which saved me a lot of trouble. Ethan, and Savannah met us there. We ended up going in behind Goliath in a group. I watched Goliath pull up three walls in the center of the simulation floor. I smirked, and rushed down to the simulation floor.

Using the simulation walls as cover as I got undressed, and switched forms. I whipped my tail through the walls to break them.

"Are you going to scan me or not?" I looked at Ethan.

Ethan smiled at me, and pulled out the scanner. The scanner beeped when it was on. Ethan synchronized the watch to the processing unit, and waited for it to readout the data. It didn't take very long for it to scan me.

"Tier five huh?" I cocked my head, "That's about where I thought I was."

Goliath looked at me funny, "How did you know?"

"Ethan told me," I smiled, "Through our connection... Well I guess I kind of peeked through our connection."

"Just how strong is your connection?" Goliath frowned as he thought it over.

"Not as strong as it could be," Ethan, and I said in unison.

Then we both cringed from the awkwardness of it all. Goliath chuckled at our discomfort. As our connection got stronger we started thinking more, and more alike. It seemed to help Ethan. His mentality was so damaged when we met that I was slowly repairing him as our bond got stronger. I didn't think Ethan had noticed it yet. Savannah definitely did.

That was fine by me. Ethan, and Savannah were slowly getting closer. It made me happy that they weren't so into me anymore. I didn't think they'd noticed they were into each other yet. I kept having to block them off when they used me as a subject of their romantic conversation.

I get it. You both find my human form hot. I don't need you talking about it near me. Let alone the fantasies I would catch Ethan thinking about. I'd been trying to stay out of his head lately because of that kind of thinking. I was worried about what Savannah was thinking.

I was kind of surprised to find out that Ethan was into both genders. I wanted to encourage their relationship, but I figured it would be better if I let it develop naturally. Solid foundation makes for a more stable relationship. Stable relationship between them equals them not being so into me anymore. Less awkward accidental moments between me, and Ethan mostly.

I shook my head. Bringing myself back to the moment. That wasn't something I needed to think about right now. My wings twitched as I thought about what being a tier five beast implied.

"What's the strongest beast you've ever beaten Goliath?" I looked up at him as I tensed up playfully.

"By myself?" Goliath raised an eyebrow, "Or with a group?"

"By yourself," I nodded.

"Tier thirteen," Goliath shrugged as if it were nothing.

"I don't stand a chance then," I don't know why, but it made me even more excited, "Why don't we play a bit then?"

"Play?" Goliath looked at my excited tension with a hopeless look, "What if you injure me with those claws of yours?"

"I can heal you," I snorted, "And I can still make a fist so I will be trying not to use my claws at all."

"Not using your claws," Goliath nodded slowly, "Nah... You're still too weak for it to be fun for me."

My muscles went lax with disappointment. Goliath chuckled at my disappointed look.

"You're no fun," I huffed.

"I've got paperwork I need to finish up," Goliath set to work on something, "You can use the space however you want until I'm done."

I tensed slowly as I crouched down. Ethan, and Savannah hadn't seen any of my playtime with Goliath until now so they were surprised when I went from almost still as I tensed my muscles to my full speed. It wasn't that much space, but considering how cooped up I was all the time it felt like a huge amount of space to me. They were so used to me being still in my dragon form so they were so stunned by all the running around, and jumping I did in this space. Goliath just acted as if I wasn't there at all.

"Hey Wyatt," Ethan smiled from the amount of excitement he felt coming from me.

I changed direction suddenly, and jumped over to him. Suddenly going still again right in front of him. Ethan wasn't prepared for me to come at him like that.

"What?" I lowered my head a little so I was at his eye level.
