She's already noticed the flames going around the alpha's precious flight by reading the flow of mana. I didn't question her. She was confident enough in her ability to control fire that she was even taking on some of my own pain. I wasn't going to burn to death quickly. The damage that my spatial element did to those that were within it's range flashed into my mind.

There was a way I could take control of this battlefield, and spread my mana throughout. I'd hesitated before because not only would the alpha be able to seen it coming, but she'd be able to break free of it if I only used normal mana. Yes. If. Divine energy mixed with my mana as the eye of the storm spell broke loose from my jaws.

The massive amount of mana that left my body caused a shiver throughout the widespread attack. She knew I was doing something. Something she couldn't see. I'd used all of my remaining mana, and over half my divine energy to spread the range of the eye of the storm attack over our entire battlefield. Gaia's barrier shattered when the divine empowered attack collided with her barrier.

Covering an area that included the entire front line Eric had set up, and the entire space between, and around the alpha wyvern. Gaia was nearly out of mana. She wouldn't be here much longer. The flames vanished as unnatural rain came down on us all.

System has discovered a potential solution to the 'poisoned mana problem' as the user describes it. This solution requires user to absorb large amounts of mana, and remain inactive in a evolutionary state as well as expending massive amounts of system energy. System has set this solution as a reward for completing current task.

I didn't read the notification as the rain healed me, and burned the wyverns that flew within my barrier. All the mana within the barrier was being purified for me to use by the divine energy I'd pumped into it. Five minutes. That's how long it would take for every ounce of mana within the barrier to become mine.

"Gaia bring Ethan to me," I had a feeling that she could hear every word I uttered, "And let Raul know to launch all of those missiles. We'll make sure that they land."

Space within the barrier was at my command. I was completely aware of every movement, every wing beat, every footstep, and yes even every heart beat. I knew I could manipulate the space within this barrier without using much of the ambient mana I needed to finish this fight. Within a minute Ethan was securely attached to my back, and ready for a fight.

{I'm going to use Resonance,} I glanced back at my bonded, {It's the only way I see us winning this fight.}

Ethan nodded. Ready to ride or die. Like usual. Savannah understood, but disliked that I was being forced into such a decision. Jax just gritted his teeth, and nodded.

He was still the new guy. He wasn't allowed to argue. I disliked that he felt that way. I didn't have time to correct him right now. I would have to correct him eventually.

All the cannons went off at once. Space warped, and all the missiles were stretched thin before just appearing in range of all the subordinate wyverns. I contained the explosions easily with a bit more mana so all of the raging force was focused on the wyverns themselves. Giving it no chance to spread, and weaken. None of the wyverns fell, but all of the males were wounded badly, and throwing blood into the air around them with each wing beat.

Four of the remaining females were bleeding as well. It would take at least a minute for them to reload another volley. They knew what would happen when they launched the next volley. I could feel all the men rushing to load the cannons for the second volley. I wouldn't be allowed to attack like that a second time freely.

The alpha female roared in rage as she tried to pull away from her fight with Gaia only to find that she couldn't because I was restricting, and converting all of her mana to my own. She could circulate her mana within, but Gaia was still in her way. She wouldn't be able to get to me without allowing Gaia to wound her. I roared challenge. Agitating the alpha even further.

I turned my attention to the next closest group of wyverns as I inhaled slowly. The males almost leapt behind the female. They were so afraid of me that they almost forgot their duty to obey the female. I shot out a stream of lightning that literally split when it got close to them. Hitting them, and going around the ones that had already been struck so they only hit ones that hadn't been hit already.

The whole group started falling from the sky. I dove after them. My intent to kill clearly shining in my eyes as I warped space to close in on them. I slammed into one of the males first. It was easy for me to snap his skinny little neck.

Rolling away from the limp corpse, and latching onto the female as she tried to regain control over her limbs. I slammed into her feet first. Digging my claws in. Slamming my hands into the back of her neck. My teeth locking on one of her horns.

My talons pried away scales easily. Cutting my hands in the process. I didn't care. The rain was healing me. I didn't need to waste mana on it.

I snarled as my teeth broke as I tried to dig them in. Unlike my fingers I couldn't bend them around the edges of the scales to rip them off easily. I snorted as I flicked the broken teeth out of my mouth with my tongue. The hooks on my wings dug into the muscle of each of his wings. I snarled as I released my grip on her horn.
