It didn't hurt much to pluck one of my scales. It wasn't any worse then pulling a hair, and I could regenerate it naturally without any assistance from my mana in a day or so. Maybe I could use my scales. I didn't know what forgers could do with my scales, but there was no reason they couldn't mix other beast crystals in with my scales to create a new unique material. One that was as flexible as leather, but reinforced enough that it was as difficult to damage as I was.
I needed a access to a good forger. There were so many uncertainties I would have to deal with in the near future. For now all I had to do was stay hidden, and wait. Figuring out what to do with the crystals was a secondary concern. Aurora was my next concern, but her bond with Goliath seemed solid, and he was highly unlikely to betray either one of us.
I took the crystal back out of the wall now that it was empty. It seemed that the queen dragon had planned far enough into the future to know I would need some of these things. I put the crystal back on the shelf gently, and went back into the main cavern. I laid low for the next few days. That was how long it took for Goliath to get rid of the angry idiot.
After that Goliath started spending a lot more time with Aurora. The wolves had originally built the guest house for Goliath. Goliath was the one that allowed them to use it as a guest house for human visitors. He didn't have many personal items he kept with him. It was interesting to find out that Samson had them build a house for the old soldier.
Aurora rode on Goliath's shoulder, or followed along behind him everywhere he went. It was cute to watch. She behaved a lot like a happy little puppy. She liked him a lot more than I originally thought. Her playful attitude was almost the exact opposite of Goliath's serious personality.
He went right along with her though. Showing her old movies, and teaching her how to read, and write. She got good at it all much faster than I thought she would. Aurora grew at an accelerated rate just like I did when I was a hatchling. Her wings were growing out, and forming well.
She was almost to the point of being able to glide already. The first magic she used was actually pretty surprising to me. She started manipulating light element first. She'd seen me manipulate many elements, but light element was the first one she took interest in. She seemed to hyper focus on it whenever she saw me using the element.
It was a surprising turn of events for me. I asked the system about it. The system simply stated that she had a high affinity for the light element, and that although incredibly rare it wasn't impossible for a dragon to learn an unnatural element first. I wondered what would happen to her when she made the evolution from hatchling to youngling. I would find out what her permanent coloration would be after that.
I went through all the work to hatch her. I wanted to have an idea of what she would look like when she got older. I didn't want to lose her. No matter what happened from here on out I would keep her safe. Just like I kept my bonded safe.
Keeping my distance was the best thing I could do right now to keep her safe. Now was the best time for me to leave. With Goliath watching over her I didn't need to worry much. He wouldn't let anyone find her, and he shouldn't have a problem keeping her hidden until she gets much larger. She was starting to put quite a bit of work in to try, and figure out the physical camouflage skill I used to use.
Once she was able to take a human form it would be even easier for her to stay hidden. Goliath managed to arrange transport for us off planet through some shady guy he knew on the black market. They wanted beast materials in exchange. I scraped off three garbage bags worth of my scales to help pay him back for the help he'd given me. They came to the island knowing they'd be transporting three unknown humans, and a tamed beast.
They looked surprised when they saw me, but didn't say anything since I did as I was told. I told Savannah, and Jax to tell anyone that asked that I was Ethan's tamed beast, and to act accordingly. I wanted to force Ethan into talking with people more. He needed to learn how to interact with people he didn't know. Even if it did scare him.
Now was when things really would begin. Gain the human's trust. Show them my strength. Find a way to guarantee the safety of the dragon race going forward. Or get strong enough that they couldn't defy me.
Even if they wanted to.

Calen Nielsen - the guild leader of a guild that was positioned on one of the more powerful planets humans had managed to reach so far. Located in a universe dubbed the blue universe due to the unique blue hue of the sun on a planet called Serious prime.
"What's so interesting about this party that wants to join our guild?" I leaned back in my chair, and looked at my vice guild leader.
"They're two illegal mages, a telekinetic, and a tamed beast," Vernon answered, "A large one. Rumor has it that it can even fly."
"Sounds dangerous," I tapped the table impatiently, "Should we turn them away."
"They could be useful," Vernon shrugged with a smile, "If the beast is well tamed it'll be useful in fighting some of the aerial beasts around here. They're higher ranked than most of our fighters."
