Covenbreath's Manor

Hethron led Euris down a long hallway, they passed by portraits of distinguished-looking individuals. Euris' eyes couldn't help to scanned along the set of portraits.

But only one specifically... caught his eyes as he halted in front of a portrait.

There's an ashen-haired man with golden eyes who hugged a young lady in his arms with the same resemblance. With a smile from both of their faces.

Euris was in a trance for a moment, as he carefully surveyed the picture.

Hethron glanced behind him for a second and noticed Euris gaze fixed on the portrait, as he also glanced at it walked and march towards his direction.

"This is picture is the late 3rd King of Einheart Kingdom."

Euris turned his gaze towards Hethron whose stood, with the same direction they face.

"Who was this young lady that his highness hug before him?" Euris pondered.

Hethron took a deep sigh as many thoughts had run to his mind. "This is her highness Searina Einheart... She betrothed a late Duke of Covenbreath..."

Hethron took as short paused before he shook of his thoughts, "Anyways my lord, we have to go. This way, please." He gestured his hands.

"Yes, Sir Hethron." Euris replied before he took a final glanced at the portrait and then stride towards Hethron's way.

After a long pace from the stretch of the hallway. Finally, they stopped at a large wooden door which Hethron knocked.

"Your grace, Lord Cloudflaw had arrived." Then he pushed the door opened.

Inside the room a man seated at a massive oak desk, surrounded by books and papers. Vesper's black-hair fluttered as he looked up as they entered.

Hethron bowed his head as Euris soon joined him after.

While Vesper's vibrant-gold eyes scanned the both of them for a second then gave them a wide smile. "Well done, Hethron. You may leave us."

With that said, Hethron smiled before he shut the door as he left.

"Welcome to the Covenbreath Manor, Lord Cloudflaw. Please, have a seat," Vesper said as gestured his hands towards a plush armchair.

While Euris took a seat in front of him while Vesper opened the drawer of his desk and placed a paper on his table.

"Have the Lord thought about my offer carefully?" Vesper snapped as their gaze locked into each other.

"I was pleased to see the lord to reach out to me through a letter first." Vesper chuckled as he place his hand on the table and leaned his head on them.

Euris smiled. "It was a pleasure, your grace. We had to move in Landborn City to pursue my son's dreams. I also liked to consider the offer you did last time during the court's gathering."

"I see, you must love the young man, then." Vesper muttered as he cleared his throat with a smile. "Moving on. Since the lord had accepted my offer. I assure the safety of your family under my care, your son will also be enrolled in our finest academy."

Euris was touched by the Duke's generosity. "Thank you, Your Grace. You have my gratitude."

The Vesper waved a hand dismissively. "Nonsense, Mr. Cloudflaw. It is only fitting that those who serve me well should be well taken care of in turn. Now, let us discuss the details of your duties."

And so Vesper handed him the paper on his table. As Euris eyes shuffled through it contents, written accordingly with a seal of Covenbreath Dukedom.

On the other hand, Ikaria and Seyric was guided by a head maid, Estiphana.

As the marched throughout the stone path from the garden, as Ikaria's heal echoed through the stone, while they followed behind Estiphana.

"Please, don't mind his grace's pets. They're very friendly." Estiphana blurted out.

The garden's were gloom bright. Soon after they become known of the Vesper's pets.

Few wolves scattered from the garden laid down the ground rested in bliss.

Seyric couldn't help his lips to form a wide smile. His eyes became relentless as his head never stop to move his head.

While Ikaria's eyes vibrated but didn't fret to panic over the matter. She glanced over to her son's way while she noticed her gentle and excited gaze.

She sighed as she only swallowed her fear before she patted Seyric's head as they keep their pace constant.

In addition, the other wolves raised their head to glimpse over Ikaria and Seyric's way and scanned the both of them in silence.

Not long after, they've arrived in a the middle of a massive garden shed, with a very well sculp structures abd tall pillar that hold the round stone roof.

Inside the shed there was a woman dress sat by the table, she was in a sleeveless suit with a slight revealing fashion while her figures appeared to be more sexy and masculine.

Her soft and seductive green eyes laid towards Ikaria's way and greeted them with a warm smile.

While on the opposite side of the table was a young lady also worn a manlike clothes, which also resembled the same eyes, which appeared more cold and serious than her mother who appeared to her mother.

Without a second thought, Estiphana lowered her head, "Your grace, the guest had arrived. There here to meet you."

"Welcome to the Manor, Lady Ikaria and Lord Seyric." Persephone started.

"Your grace, may the spirit bless you. We thank your grave for letting us lived in the manor." Ikaria said with a respective bow, as Seyric followed her mother's gesture.

"Mom, who are this people?!" Calliope snapped as she crossed her arms in their way.

Calliope turned to her mother then muttered. "Did dad cheated with this woman?"

"What did you say, young lady?" Persephone formed a weird smile in her face and pinched her daughter's ears.

Calliope moaned out loud, "Ouch, mom. Stop!" Then pushed her mother's hands away while Persephone glared at her.

"Mind you words, young lady. Their our guest," Persephone said through greeted teeth. Then she clapped her hand together and added, "Beside you father wouldn't even consider replacing me for a woman that I could beat off to death."

Calliope pouted and didn't talk back, satisfied with her mothers sentiment.

While Ikaria's face stiffened as she forced a smile in her face. "Your grace and lady Calliope, I wouldn't dare..."

"Of course," Persephone slipped while there was a pause of silence from until she cleared her throat, "Anyway, please let's forget what I have said. Please, join us."

"We appreciate it, your grace... Thank you for your kindness." As Ikaria cautiously marched together with Seyric while Calliope's gold eyes glared at him in fierce.

Despite a short introduction, there is fire grew inside of Calliope towards Seyric that she can't stop to gave him a despite look.

On the other hand, as Ikaria and Seyric took a seat, he could only glance away from her gaze and only hope for the best.
